They've reinvented themselves so much since their early stuff the inclusion of the Moog really alters the soundscape - it's hard to recognize them for what they used to play, at times. New Erections is much more elaborate and refined; they've also been working with Alex Newport, which has undoubtedly helped shape their sound.

@sethdesade because in japan, there music was always more thrashy, and hardcore orientated with lots of screaming, so it is more mainstream.
