  • BEAUTIFUL BOAT, LOVE THE MERC.

  • Your boat is beautiful! I am building a wooden boat about the same size. I would really like to know what kind of plywoods you used on the deck. Are they different light and darker plywoods or was the shade difference done with stain? Thank you. Don

  • Look's realy nice!. but i think it can go way faster if you raise your engine. The rpm can raise pretty much

  • why does your build look different from the study plans? I have also found another very well documented build on line and that one looks like the study plans. I personally think yours looks better. Could you please explain..Thanks and what a great job on this build

  • @michaelklimovich about 3,000,,,I used all mahogany wood.

  • nice boat! but one thing i dont like, is the wood colour, it is nice, but I would paint it black and white.

  • very cool project,,,really love the fine intricate work you put into it...cool!!!!

  • Great job!

  • The very first picture of the baby bullet is my dad, Chuck Schwab changing his propeller. The lady with her back to the camera is my mom!

Circa 1955 picture....Great job on the boat!

  • 45 to 50 MPH if the wind is blowing right....have a few things to try this winter.

  • Amazing coicidence (the Aussie connection). What speed do you get out of it? It looks great.

  • Hello Mate,

My Mercury 65 hp is a 1967 with a 1958 Mercury Mark 55 midsection, lower unit and a 1991 Mercury 50 hp clamp assembly with power trim, the original was to heavy and big for the boat,BTW I purchased plans for the boat from a mate that lives in Australia.

  • Gday Mate, another aussie here! I have to give proper respect, what an amazing bit of craftmanship, i would love to undertake something similar where i build it over a few years in spare time to releive the stresses of life, maybe i should ask you for details on how to get hold of the plans for something similar, you have inspired me!

  • Hey Mate,An Aussie made the plans...do a search on the web for classic wood boat plans,Thanks for the compliments Have Fun! Rick

  • @r1ck0o Can you send me the contact info so I might could get a set of plans? Thanks. Nice boat by the way.

  • Very nice! I love the look of the 'ol Switzer's! Beautiful boat.
