I am a Vietnam Veteran and can tell with all honesty that ALL soldiers only want to go home. I also have been with NATO soldiers and even worked with Berlin Wall guards and they all had something in common. They wanted to go home, they talked about their mother's home cooking, and talked about their wives or girl friends. Shoot the politicians!
Did you know that the last thing that the average soldier says before he dies from his wounds is "Mother" or some form of the word.
If we shot all politicians we would all get along just fine! I have circeld the globe twice and never had a problem with anyone other than currupt officials.
In memory of Paul Steinbrenner, 8 Mot. Bat., Pzjg. Abt. 43 and 559, who loved this song, and who lived the lyrics, on the Volga and the Don, 1941 through 1944, was profoundly wounded in Nov., 1944 and who died July 1, 2010. He loved the Russian people and let many prisoners go free, as the Partisans once did for him. "I could have lived my life in Russia." Kindness to all peoples.

Bless your dear friend Paul Steinbrenner. The stories military could tell. They fight for their homeland, yet wish only to be home. ... If Only..
I saw Andre Rieu perform this live, and there was not a dry eye in the building. It was simply lovely.

I heard Andre perform this most incredible piece live in Pittsburgh, PA.
