  • Std? Try " herpesanddating,net "

  • The current mail already in the system should have been delivered, instead of sitting idle. People paid to have it delivered. I have now lost close to $2000 from none delivery of product. Come tax time next year, I will not forget that. The amount of people switching to e-billing and going with courier sevice will go up. When your gun is loaded with bullets paid for by the taxpayer, expect it to really hurt when you shoot yourself in the foot.

  • We got your Moya Greene in Royal Mail UK, its not looking too good, we are about to get royally shafted, the fight back is starting, we also have the advantage of being forearmed as to her methods in Canada Post.

  • It's our Tax Dollars paying for this ... it's time to go UPS! Fire them all!

  • @speakoutcanada Not tax dollars, Canada post show a profit each year.

    Do your homework!

  • STD's for all! lol, you psac girls know how to have fun. keep up the good work.

  • Hi i hurt my back at work when management decided to let many employess take leaves over the summer.. Wcb and Cpost approved my wcb claim...manulife has been hassling me....to fill out forms..i havnt done it,i been off work 5 weeks now cpost put me on awol without pay they SAID only i am getting paid still and they are saying they didint approve my wcb claim when it is approved myself and the union are just shaking

  • Teresarh1, do not listen to Canada Post. They will lie to your face. I mean that. It could be -26 degrees outside and 4 feet of snow, and they'll say it's summer out. Literally. I would deal only with WCB, and DO NOT deal with manulife. If CPC wants to challenge a WCB claim, they have to go through WCB, not you. It is not their decision to deny YOUR claim. It is your claim and if WCB approves it, CPC must pay you. Tell them to stop harassing you. Good luck, wish I could be of more help.

  • Very interesting reading this politics of envy dross. The fact is, if you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Why don't you just resign and get yourselves another job if Canada Post is that bad? Count yourselves lucky, the Royal Mail pension scheme here in the United Kingdom is 20 billion Canadian Dollars in debt and rising. Your pension scheme is stable, a remarkable achievement. Finally, start learning to compromise, you will gain more as a result. Think about it.

  • @wipered "compromise" is when 2 people get F*ucked. Canada's banking and pension system is one of the best in the world but as we speak our prime minister is out harping that more stimulus for the markets is needed for the economy.

Yeah! Our baby boomers get to keep their pensions, their grand children will start life in enormous debt. A slave to their grandparents "compromises"

  • dont you every make fun of the queen you bloody moron!

  • Moya doesn't get it. We already know that Manulife is drawing up plans for our STD, she is trying to say 100's have crossed but almost 70% voted no, whether they crossed or not. Being able to bank sick leave doesn't COST anything, if we have so many days banked, that means we are WORKING. And there is no justification to take away family leave.

It says on their website that members were not allowed to vote, bs! Why not talk about losing the big contracts like EPICURE! But the mail is moving!

  • It's already working on me. I'm a term carrier and i hurt my back last week, now i need comp to pay for my physio and the supervisors are belittling me and trying to intimidate me from talking to the union or taking time off. I'm starting to hate it here. Just because of my asshole supervisor, love the job

  • For CPC this is not about money it's about fear and control. Scare employees into losing a third of their income for a quarter of a year and they'll come to work sick or or take leave without pay and we can get rid of them administratively without the headache of the union. For the members it is about money as we cannot take a financial hit. CPC is in business to make money and increase profit not to care about us.

  • After 13 years of increasing profits, a hiring boom of E-Quality Officers (Management Level 1 same as Brigitte) and Letter Carrier supervisors; these far outweigh the costs CPC incurs to pay for people on Short Term Disability. There aren't that many people on the short term disability program at any given time.

  • Currently we have an Attendance Management program whereby if your attendance does not match that of your peers the employee can a be fired as an "administrative" action saying the employee is not capable of performing their duties. This is not disciplinary but an administrative action whereby the union cannot stop it.

  • Under the proposed STD plan if a member becomes ill and if Manulife denies the claim the member is forced to come into work sick or take leave without pay. While being ill, most people's performance will be lower and if after 3 "needs improvement" evaluations the employee could be fired as an administrative action whereby they cannot perform their duties.

  • OR If the employee is denied by Manulife for benefits, which they have already paid for, the member would be forced to take "leave without pay" and CPC could use the time as an administrative action under Attendance Management Program to have the person fired as they are unable to perform their duties.

For those who do not believe this is an attendance management scheme we had a person in a management level position admit the STD is to deal with attendance problems.

  • Under the proposed STD plan if a member becomes ill and if Manulife denies the claim the member is forced to come into work sick or take leave without pay.If after 3 "needs improvement" evaluations the employee could be fired as an administrative action whereby they cannot perform their duties.

  • So, Moya says we don't even use 7 days, and then says our average is 20 days per year. Huh??? Which is it? She never did give me an answer on that one, or why she is taking away family leave. We can't bank sick leave if we are using 20 days per year, on average!! LIES, LIES, LIES!!

  • Moya-We are very proud of the generous job security salary , paid leaves benefits and pension that Canada Post provides.

But the current sick leave program provides no income protection for new employees and for many is treated casually as extra paid leave .

Like many CEO's I have to look across the whole company, and look to the future. Itis not the case that I care only about dollars; I care deeply about our future and our ability to earn enough to make good on the promises we have made.

  • The Two posts above are what Moya greene emailed to me.

  • What Moya Greene emailed to me:

The average. Sick leave utilizaton , average... In Canada Post call centers is 20 days per year. Some people take less, some take more ..but the average is 20 days per year!

    Moya Greene

  • Cowgirl, you need to educate yourself before making ridiculous statements!!! If you are so anti union why don't you get into management so you can be one of Moya's puppets?!

  • Wow, my Union dues are paying for people who want to play dress up and ride around in a limo. And I'm supposed to be proud of them? Grow up.

  • Maybe you should have read all comments here.

This was all donated. And you earn 2 months worth of union dues and then some in one week of strike. I am sure you are enjoying the benefits that your union have fought for aren't you Julie.

  • You dont pay union dues. Anyone with a brain knows that this kind of thing is done by the members not the union. It was paid for out of the Employees own pocket Mary. You cant see the forest through the trees. What a travesty indeed.

  • Mary finally got caught with all her lies!! Not that I ever believed one thing she said. I also noticed that only indeterminate employees are covered by STD plan. So I was right, terms have no coverage, and there are alot of terms in the call centres. Shame on CPC!! And not willing to move on the 7 days to 10, when we normally have 15!!

  • Wait until all those parcels that we are not holding up (yah right) call for their refund. Oh right, they won't get through because Management has no idea what they are doing.

So instead of taking std off the table, let all the shippers ship for free!! Makes alot of sense to me!

  • your right, i am sure that not a single package is making it out the door on time. Please do a little research and look at the "REAL WORLD". This plan is fantastic and you should be happy. If you don't like it, i heard that MacDonald's is hiring...

  • MANAGEMENT HOOPER: I do not like the plan, along with 88% of our membership. Stop trying to use the current economic situation, this plan was put on the table in 07 for cupw and was quickly taken off, because it SUCKS!

And when we first began our negotiations, our dollar was above the US. I like what I do at Canada Post, just not what they are trying to force upon us. Obviously you took offense to the fact managment is not doing our jobs well, hence the Mcdonald's comment. WEIGHTLESS!

  • You are assuming I am uneducated and not well researched in the issues at hand. I have dealt with Manulife, and it was a nightmare. If you think you can do my job so well, maybe you are not needed in management. Oh, and it is McDonald's not MacDonald's, just incase you are applying.

  • Speaking of McDonald's did you see the McLibel decision? The movie clip is on Youtube under the heading McLibel trailer. Cheers.

  • "This plan is Fantastic?!" STFU Tony. Throw away sick leave and go on EI. I dont think the government likes that idea. How many managers has Moya fired this month for disagreeing with her? We live in the real world. You live in the world of CN derailments and Bombardier stock crashes. Face it Youre hooped - Moya Greene is bad at business.

  • shame on cpc, still trying to intimidate members by posting more crap on their website.

I received a letter from Moya Greene in which she stated that she has used EI for maternity leave. Okay, so you are a mother, and you are targeting a union which is 80% women and taking away our family leave! How can you even look at yourself in the mirror? You will never have respect from your employees again.

CPC has spent more $ on paying ot to cupw, lawyers to get injunctions and sending us info.

  • From Sam Weisse,a long-time member of PSAC - and a 30-yr EI specialist:

    yes,

Canada Post "could" do something like the STD plan that's

    proposed - but

ONLY if THEY are ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE for the financial obligations of the

    "sub-plan top-up" - meaning, in a nutshell, that they CAN'T use

our already banked Sick Leave to top up any monies owed us if we are on Sick Leave.

NICE TRY MOYA AND CPC, MORE BS.

  • And the video states that it will provide "Protection for newer employees who have not been able to bank sick time." The truth is, they go out on sick leave, they are gone, so the STD won't benefit them as CPC claims.

  • Obviously you are not in the Call Centre environment, or you were never sick for more than a day. I know of 7 people in the past 6 months this has happened to. OH, and as a term, are you enjoying the opportunity to bank sick leave?? Because that is what we have fought for.

  • Oh, or perhaps you are management, or have already crossed. Either way, in my opinion, your statements are WEIGHTLESS!!

  • You are not a term. You are a liar.

  • Here a sample of Moya's Math. If an employee has worked many years and has not used their sick time , Moya Greene says it isn't fair for an employee who has worked for the company many years and has not used up all their sick time to have that sick time saved when a new employee doesn't have that much sick time saved up. Her solution, she's going to eliminate banked sick time so employees can go in E.I. instead. That is her definition of fair.

Don't let a banker derail Canada Post.

  • We are getting donations from everywhere, DESPITE CURRENT ECONOMY!

The members are very encouraged to see that donations have started to come in. The Ottawa Local has received a number of donations including $770 from the Alliance Employee's Union and $3301 from the Ottawa English Catholic Teachers Association with promises of more to come! Members of PSAC's excluded staff joined the picket line at noon today at the Alta Vista postal station and presented picketers with a cheque for 2,000$.

  • TORONTO

Lines remained strong at South Central, Gateway, UMO-Midland, and Stoney Creek. New Lines went up at 4.30 a.m. at Mount Hope ( Hamilton Airport), Depot 11( Kennedy and Eglinton), 1 Yonge St, Progress Ave and Vista Road at the Toronto Airport. Canada Post was violating protocols at various locations. Also, according to some sources, CPC is instructing staff to remove the date stickers on packages so that the customers cannot claim any loss.

  • I have heard these rumours as well. Delivering parcels dated Nov.10..NO IMPACT- THINK AGAIN!!

  • 1% profit margin, you can do better than that my brown eyed friend. That is a lie. You are not a member of PSAC. You are full of it.

  • CPC isn't a private corporation and it isn't right to hold them to that standard. It is a dual mandate, to serve the public while earning profits. It has done that. Meanwhile it wants to shed 27,000 jobs in the nest few years. Is that necessary? Is that having a social concious? CPC has caused this strike with complete disregard to its emplopyees, the public and its customers.

  • so my psac dues went to some silly skit. My money went to you for a custume, and a limo ride just to make fun of moya green and the situation.... please let me vote, because this is the last straw, i will probably now cross...

  • No your PSAC dues have helped you get paid the wage you do, they have helped you be protected, and to give you the ability to bank sick leave, have family leave, maternity leave and the list goes on.

The costume and limo were all donated, so don't worry your dues did not pay for this. Your psac dues are covering your benefits while CPC will not during a strike.

So cross now after 2 weeks, makes alot of sense?? You could lose seniority, perhaps a fine, definitely respect of your colleagues!

  • I won't lose seniority. Fines, go ahead and fine me, psac's case to collect these fines has been thrown out of court, so you would be wasting your time. Respect? at this point people won;t follow me and it doesn;t pay the bills.

Why doesn't psac come with an official counter offer? They are not negotiating.... Canada post has changed alot of things since there was an 88% strike vote. Let alone more and more people are eduacated on what things mean for them. Stop representing CUPW...

  • I am not a union executive, I have paid my dues for 8+ years. What has CPC changed? Oh, protection for everyone, not just ones with banked sick leave. They leave out that terms are fired if they miss any time anyway, or contract is not renewed.

CROSS THE LINE, GET YOUR PAY,WHILE ALL YOUR COLLEAGUES, WHO HAVE BILLS TO PAY TOO, WALKING THE LINE IN ALL TYPES OF WEATHER, FIGHTING SO YOU KEEP YOUR GOOD WAGES AND BENEFITS. HOPE YOU DON'T EVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH MANULIFE! I HAVE, NOT PRETTY!!

  • lol obviously management. I think its Tony the Tiger. Hey Tony what does a special advisor to the CEO really do anyways? Please advise.

  • To them, people are numbers and are dispensable which is simply bad business. Good business puts customers first and rewards good employees not exploit them. Thats why Moya Greene is bad business. She always has been. That is why she was given this task. The government has a political agenda and it is not in the best interest of Canadians or the Canadian economy. Word.

  • All very good points. Some would rather spend billions to privatize something and watch it fail just because they have an extreme political agenda. Why is it that excessive privatization always seems to have corruption assigned to it? Look at Dick Cheneys financial profit from privatizing the prisons in the US. When a company sets out to break a union they will spend billions in that quest instead of putting people before profits, namely customers and employees.

  • WHO IS DESPERATE?

Canada Post keeps running to courts across the country to limit our impact.

Canada Post wants us back to work but would rather negotiate through the website and not deal with our bargaining team.

How much money is Canada Post spending on their campaign to get you back into work? To make slick videos? To put ads in the papers? To send mail to your home? To send managers to the picket lines to persuade you?

  • Canada Post's policy on priority mail is that packages are to be delivered promptly by a mail carrier

Why then is Canada Post instructing mail carriers to leave cards advising customers to pick up packages at the post office?

Canada Post is claiming that it's business as usual

Why then is Canada Post re-recording striking PSAC members' voice mail to say that they are on vacation?

  • Canada Post is claiming that the forecasted volumes are getting through-

Why then is there no mail in the plants to sort and to be taken out?

Canada Post is taking out advertisements claiming that the mail is moving-Why then is Canada Post asking mail sorters and mail carriers to voluntarily take four hours of vacation leave each day when they arrive for their shift?

  • Check out this direct quote from an affidavit filed in Halifax on November 27, 2008: This has negatively impacted operations, schedules and guaranteed delivery times. As a result, mail delivery in the province has been negatively affected with complete failure of mail delivery to satisfy guaranteed delivery times for certain products and increased costs of the operations.

  • Thank you for the comments. We will not back down!! CPC keeps saying we are not affecting the mail but are trying to get injunctions everwhere..hmmm!! Management doesn't have a clue what they are doing on the phone, yet they think they can do our jobs!! Call the number and see how many WRONG answers you get, if they can answer at all!!

  • LMAO!! I was in a cab in the lineup and though I could see the limo missed seeing the QUEEN!

Great job guys!! CUPW are with you all the way!!

  • Keep the faith. Google Moya Greene and click on the picture. It now links to your video. Cheers.

  • nice, keep it up guys
