You killed Griffin in the previous level, correct? If you spare his life you get this ending.

That's because the game has two endings. If you shoot Griffin in level 13, Muro will mutate in the last battle, if you just walk away, he won't, and it'll look like this.

Thats just AI manipulation. We do lots of 'em in all PC games :) There's no challenge in even beating muro without hit and run without taking damage. Just play well, muro cant hit u. Kill him off in overpower mode...he'll be the first casuality...none of the other troops from both sides will die(forget griffin), be it hard mode with brutal AI and killmequick. Well all have different tricks,its just that people complete their own challenges, forget and don't care to post.Its not multiplayer.

Well I love this game but this style of playing is no fun. I just like hand-to-hand combat more than hit-and-run combat :D

i fought muro and (ow fortunate) bot black op died in less than a minute because the furies teamed on same -_-'

(on my first run)

but the end was epic, muro was almost dead (i was too) and griffin did a jumpiing kick and killed muro :D

then the cutscene showed griffin die after konoko got more power from her crysalid

There is a catch. You maybe let Griffin live to the end of the fight but, when Konoko went Berserk you killed him ^^ opss.. but its nice played.

how do you get to fight both versions of the fights?

The level before the final level, you get to chose to kill or let Griffin live. If you choose to let him live you'll fight a normal muro in the end fight. Griffin will even come to help you. If you choose to kill him, you'll fight a mutated muro. If you replay the one-to-last level, make your choice, finish the level and then playing the final fight again with the boss you chose.

If you kill Commander Griffin in TCTF HQ then Muro will mutant into monster in Final Battle.

I think the crysallys level 2 muro is easier because Griffin and the two other cops die fast and then you have fight muro and other minions

I added tips on how to do it on-screen, however those aren't very clear at times. I might post a better version/video tutorial how to do it.

Next to that I might try it without using a shield and the VDG (stun) weapon :)

well thats always an opinion, but I agree with you. its a cult game, never really got a lot of media attention, arguably because its anime. and so many people in north america during 2000 looked at anime as "wierd" or "nerdy"

You used guns and Overpower effect. v_V So what's the big challenge? The last battle shouldn't involve you getting hurt at all; if you kept Griffin alive, that's meant to make it pathetically easy. Do it _without_ overpower or guns and _maybe_ I won't be yawning as I watch.

Dude, I wouldn't have said that if I hadn't. I've beaten the entire last level without taking any damage and using no hypos (although, unfortunately, guns are necessary to take out a couple rooftop guys).
