  • I've replayed the final 3 minutes of this movement over and over for the last hour. It's just so glorious and triumphant that it makes me feel part of history. I heard it live last night:)

  • Adverts to dirty the mind to begin with- the filth continues spreading.

  • My gosh Karajan sure is good at interpreting these symphonies!

  • the final few bars feel like having an orgasm.

  • Kulaklarınız için Brahms marka lavaboaç kullanınız.

  • that final double high D scale is killer on 1st trombone...

  • Today, it was played by the NAC orchestro, conducted by Eiki Isomura was really well done! :D

  • I'm principle Clarinet for the orchestra I'm in and I must say, it's a tie between this and the ending for "Make Our Garden Grow" in the Candide Suite for the most incredible ending to a piece I've ever heard.

  • The ending has to be the best 30 seconds in all of symphonic music. When you're hearing it live, and all that brass gets going for the big final chord, goose bumps upon goose bumps set in, even if it's the middle of a hot summer!

  • Epic. Ending.

  • 8:48 - 8:58 so cool

  • Tremendous

  • Awesome! I played the second Bassoon part when I was in college.

  • I'm using an excerpt of this for my college auditions!

  • If I had been introduced to this in, say, sixth grade, I wouldn't have waited until my late-thirties to dig the genre.

  • @tah815 Glad to hear you have arrived at the party fashionably late! :) Welcome!

  • Absolutely DIVINE! This is amazing... unbelievable.

  • the technique used in this movement by Brahms is really terrific

full of content and details in every single second

  • @cedricyu803 Not to mention Karajan's masterful extrapolation of all those details.

  • The closing of this symphony is my favorite of all symphonies.

  • @KV286 8:39 - 8:46 nice chords! its a nice symphony i like it.

Quite powerful in terms of melancholy of second movement and triumphant ending of this movement!

  • Grandiosa obra y grandioso final. Karajan grabó el ciclo de sinfonías de Brahms en varias ocasiones, esta que presentas aca me parece que es la última, de la década de los 80`. Que bueno encontrarme con hispanoparlantes! saludos desde Chile.
