  • when i was a kid my amstrad and spectrum 'buddies' teased me at school for the blocky graphics in this version.........i told them to fuck off.

  • There is a cheat for this game which allowes you to fly an attack helicopter

  • I remember reading the ultra-high "Sizzler" rating for this game in Zzap! 64 and rushing out and purchasing a cartridge version. Even as a 10 year old I was soooo disappointed. This game stinks, the gameplay is BORING, the soundtrack repetitive and all the traffic is the same car on each level! Turbo Charge was WAY better.

  • God this tune sounds like music from 'Flimbo's Quest' perhaps a missing level or something, lol...

  • oooooooooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk amiga way betteer

  • I bought the cartridge in Amsterdam! :P And it works excellent in my Commodore 64.

  • @edzzzwin yeah i had it on cart in around 1990 i think it was

  • Kicks the originals ass...This is what you got when a game made for the C64 WAS made for the C64, not a spectrum port. :-/

  • @KongoXIIV

You Sir, earn a big thumbs up.

  • man i havn't played this since i was about 5. haha i love the way the c64's music sounds... my fav music from c64 days is speedball loading tune.

  • nice one....i thought the gfx were improved by cartridge xtra memory.....yeah music is kind of funny and doesnt match the game :-))

  • The wrong bandwidth messes up the graphics in this video.

  • puke me!!!

  • had this on cartridge for the c64....nice gfx for the machine (mainly due to the extra memory of the cartridge option)

  • @jpalmz1978 , I like SCI on the C=64 to. But there isn't any extra memory used the improve the graphics, because the game also is put on disk and tape and those versions look & play exactly the same. The game actually uses the same game engine as US Gold's Turbo Out Run from 1989 on the C-64, btw.

Turbo Charge from System 3 has much better graphics and that one is available on disk and tape only, although a prototype of a Turbo Charge cartridge is rumoured.

  • Is it me,or the music, while nice, doesn't fit with the rest of the game at all?

It sounds like it belongs to a platform game or something.

  • @johnwx777 Sound like a mix of Super Mario Bros and Polish porn music... :/

  • LAMBORGINI

  • This must be running on the C64 Turbo Outrun engine. The games look pretty much identical.

  • The graphics and speed of this game are sooooo much better than the original Chase HQ C64 port

  • Same here. I found this today. For years I've been going, "ARGH what's that game I used to play".

  • @SethSquall Same here :) I only remember calling it "car chase" in Swedish :) The whole thing about driving a sports car and shooting at the same time just blew my mind... :)

  • classic...first game i ever played...this started it all...fuck me i hated those bikers with their grenades!
