I remember reading the ultra-high "Sizzler" rating for this game in Zzap! 64 and rushing out and purchasing a cartridge version. Even as a 10 year old I was soooo disappointed. This game stinks, the gameplay is BORING, the soundtrack repetitive and all the traffic is the same car on each level! Turbo Charge was WAY better.
@KongoXIIV: very good, Out Run Europa and Turbo Out Run kick ass on the C=64 also. And leave the Spectrum edition of Chase HQ eating dust in their tails. Another awesome game of in Chase HQ style for the C=64 is Turbo Charge.
@jpalmz1978 , I like SCI on the C=64 to. But there isn't any extra memory used the improve the graphics, because the game also is put on disk and tape and those versions look & play exactly the same. The game actually uses the same game engine as US Gold's Turbo Out Run from 1989 on the C-64, btw.
Turbo Charge from System 3 has much better graphics and that one is available on disk and tape only, although a prototype of a Turbo Charge cartridge is rumoured.
@SethSquall Same here :) I only remember calling it "car chase" in Swedish :) The whole thing about driving a sports car and shooting at the same time just blew my mind... :)
when i was a kid my amstrad and spectrum 'buddies' teased me at school for the blocky graphics in this version.........i told them to fuck off.

Kicks the originals ass...This is what you got when a game made for the C64 WAS made for the C64, not a spectrum port. :-/

Is it me,or the music, while nice, doesn't fit with the rest of the game at all?
It sounds like it belongs to a platform game or something.

This must be running on the C64 Turbo Outrun engine. The games look pretty much identical.
