  • I find it harder to back the WGA when I see petty demonstrations like this one. What did this accomplish?

  • Comments from an intelligent young man on WGA Channel: GreenDay1981 Bunch of selfish crybabies. Like these idiots don't make enough money. All they care about is themselves. If they can afford to be out of work this long, they shouldn't be striking. People like me make a lot less than they do, but you don't see us striking to get more money. Pretty sad that these greedy pieces of trash want to screw the general public just to fill their own wallets. Get back to work, you careless selfish bums!

  • Better the words of LA weekly (just one source)than my own:

"AMPTP staffers, consultants and members (especially corporate publicity departments) are busily posting comments on WGA-friendly websites and blogs...filling them with hate-filled rants against the WGA leadership, the A-list actors, and the companies who've made WGA side deals. The goal is to turn off readers and drive traffic away and in the process spread pro-AMPTP propaganda...."

  • Liz I totally understand why you and the WGA have pulled back from the table and refused to talk as your positions are indefensible (and by the way AMPTP if you pay me as Liz has falsely accused, I'll clean up my grammar and even check my spelling, lol). And Liz, have a nice life cruzing back to your beachfront home in your Mercedes as food services workers apply for unemployment.

  • The AMPTP walked away from the tables, per an agreed tactic 45 days ago. Quit talks. Walked away. 45 days of no work, loss of wages, and prolonged strike all b/c of the AMPTP. Get your facts straight.

    Or just keep trolling away.

  • Liz, you're talking to me again, you've forgiven me? How sweet. Have you noticed that the WGA videos mostly receive fewer than 10 response comments these days? America and me have moved on. If you don't want to work by all means stay on strike, my son has a new job and 99.9999% of Americans enjoy alternative entertainment. Happy New Year!

  • Have you noticed the flurry of anti-WGA postings on pro-strike sites? Last ditch effort by your employers?

I take your word that I won't see your name anymore though, you've moved on to the next temp job now that the end of the strike is nearing.

  • Liz I didn't say you wouldn't see me anymore, gosh I've missed you. I haven't kept up, is the end of the strike really nearing? My employers? I'm retired and live off my 401K and IRAs and other petty investments. That's why I have time to doodle on YouTube defending the good guys.

  • And I still think you're a drone b/c you're breaking out another version of the 2 AMPTP spin control arguments: my FAMILY/son's family is out of work b/c of the strike. Good luck drone. Keep typing or you won't get you paycheck. How do you sleep at night? Shame on you.

  • I wanted my son to be an engineer. But he has artistic aspirations himself. How can I be anti union? When I was young America was the greatest steel producer in the world, today Bethlehem Steel is an empty building because of unions. My mother worked in a textile mill (J.P.Stephens), union thugs came in and promised the world. Gullible (greed) workers voted the union in, two years later the company was bankrupt. Now the WGA is promising gold from the internet, and my son is out of work.

  • Let's pretend you are a person not a pathetic AMPTP lackey:

The WGA is not promising anything. They are trying to maintain their residual protection against streaming media making current resid. protection disappear.

The AMPTP is both denying $ from the internet and promising billions in expected revenues from internet ad sales to their shareholders.

That's what I call "promising gold from the internet". You should really read up on the facts.

  • And I gotta ask, you really think I'm good enough to be a AMPTP drone? I could slam the WGA a lot worse if somebody would pay me to. Where do I apply for that? (Thanks for the endorsement, I appreciate you putting in a good word for me). If AMPTP were paying me, I would sleep like a new born puppy.

  • The only compliment I paid you was to comment that you are using the only 2 (false) argument points the AMPTP think the masses will buy.

Support for the WGA in the strike is overwhelmingly strong, enough so that the AMPTP hired the most expensive spin doctors in the country to help with damage control.

There's no slam you could spout that can't be refuted BTW-but keep using your AMPTP cheat sheet.

  • Liz you do flatter me proclaiming I'm in the employ of AMPTP, but I am merely one of the thousands of working stiffs paying for WGA greed. What you don't seem to understand that I'm on the writers side. If the WGA makes it fiscally impossible for Producers to finance film/TV production, the writers will have to suffer unemployment (while there obviously is some justice in this, it is unfair to all those in the business for artistic reasons or to earn a living).

  • Again, pretending you're not an AMPTP lackey, how on EARTH can you call the WGA members greedy? Honestly? Explain it, please. Because their contract happened to come up first? Because they're standing up for what was promised to them and then threatened? Because the AMPTP lied in 2001 talks and never reneg. DVD resids like they promised they would in 2004? Because they won't bend over?

  • Liz you've repeatedly used named calling (lackey, drone, and implied worse) which suggests lack of substance (to point out the obvious) in your argument. As I don't know you I will not insult you personally or your integrity. What I do know is the dark lords you bow to at the WGA are the ones making threats (watch Bill Maher on HBO, he states specifically he supports the WGA but he's also been threatened by the WGA for going back on HBO).

  • Camsahff-

I called AMPTP workers who troll the net posting untruths about the WGA all those names.

Since you cannot back up your arguments against the WGA, will not prove your 'data', and when I bring up my points against the AMPTP, have no rebutting arguments, I can only assume you work for the AMPTP. That or you just can't debate your stance.

It's easy to be AGAINST something, the hard part comes when you have to know WHAT you stand for and WHY.

  • BTW Camshaff-

Who owns HBO? That's right, TimeWarner. One of the 'big 6', as I explained to you. A member of the AMPTP.

So your informed position is based on:

Secondhand info. overheard at the supermarket and AMPTP owned media. You really do gather your info. thoughtfully.

  • Liz I'd never demonize you as you have me although I suspect greed is your motivation as it is the stated basis for the WGA strike. I don't care one spit about AMPTP, but I do support producers who risk everything to finance TV & films. I despise the WGA for calously disregarding hardships imposed on working people they think don't count. Further the WGA's bullying tactics (Bill Maher reported threats by WGA), it's blatant threat to blackball people, and other dastardly tactics disgust me.

  • AGAIN, AMPTP owns HBO/Bill Maher's show content.

Cam, you are an AMPTP paid robot. You have not made ONE original point. You just keep posting variations on the same 2 arguments the AMPTP thinks the public will buy.

All writers are rich and greedy

The WGA is responsible for the strike.

  • Camshaff-

I'm a fool for debating with you. I'm just playing into the AMPTP's plan to get more anti-WGA comments on the internet.

Taraballou is spouting the same rhetoric as Cam.

People: just note the only anti-writer posts you'll see on youtube are variations on:

-All writers are rich and greedy

-The WGA/writers are responsible for the strike/putting below the line workers out of work...(the AMPTP broke talks BTW)

  • taraballou I'm so sorry to about your father and brother, my family is a victim of WGA greed as well. I apologize I'm not as eloquent as the WGA hacks spouting their jokes about destroying people's lives. I'm doing my best to at least demonstrate the WGA members have been informed about the damage their greed is causing. At least in the court of public opinion their dastardly motives have been exposed.

  • ARRRGG-final post:

the last two indep. public polls show:

93% in favor of the writers over AMPTP

89% in favor of the strike continuing even though means losing orig. tv content.

  • Who cares about AMPTP? They're no better than the WGA. But there is good news, my son's found work in Florida where "Right to Work" laws protect crews from the WGA's devious tactics, inconsistent demands, threats and thuggery. The majority of Producers just want to be able to create artistic works profitably. The WGA blocks others from working; Producers would glady go back to work today. Hmmmm, where does the problem lie?

  • camshaf you are so right on. While these fat WGA jerks laugh & tell jokes about putting my father out of work, my brother had to drop out of college to help support our family. F**k the greedy WGA bastards. I hope they all get ass cancer!

  • Bill Maher workes for Time Warner, one of the 'big 6'...a member of the AMPTP. Who do you think it's more likely he's being threatened or given direct orders by?

  • Camshaff is an AMPTP drone.

The AMPTP's nervous with all the support the WGA is getting, so they're trying to get people on their side with the only 2 arguments they think people might buy:

    "All writers are millionaires"

"The writers are putting 'everyone' out of work by striking"

    Sad sad sad.

  • Oh,ok, I get it now....hi AMPTP paid drone. Do you get paid per post or by the hour?

  • I'm actually an old grumpy anti union drone. But I will accept pay from either the AMPTP or the WGA as I'm having to support my son's family (he's a cameraman). If writers got into the business for the money it explains a lot. They should have gotten into writing insurance policies instead; a much higher percentage of insurance people make good money and they don't have to be the best in their field to get it.

  • I don't know how any intelligent person could be ANTI union. As for having to support your son, maybe HE should've gotten into a more finan. secure bus. Don't blame the WGA, the AMPTP have planned on dragging out the strike from the get go. Played dirty at the neg. table. Writers go into the bus. for the love of the art. Resids. are insurance. Playing field changed (internet), AMPTP won't adjust.

  • It never ceases to amaze me how the WGA members like to post these misleading and most of the time flat out untruthful videos....yet it is the AMPTP who are such bad guys. At least they are not here on youtube lying to people to try and prove themselves right.

  • No, they're in Aspen.

  • What info. do you find misleading in these vids?

What info. has been false? Back it up guy.

The AMPTP aren't on youtube (as much) b/c they control the media, I mean, really, how much strike coverage do you see on the news? Virtually none and that's not a coincidence. So......WGA uses youtube to get their point across. Makes sense to me.

  • Love it guys! Much support to the WGA. We fans are doing what we can to let the moguls know whose side we are on. Have a wonderful holiday.

  • "Aspen on webcam"... It doesn't get any truer or funnier. GO WGA.

  • I'm with you. Murdock is a jerk. These guys are great.

  • That was freaking funny.

  • "Which one is the NBC jet?" -- "The one Carson Daily is washing." -- HAHA nice. Carson... what a douche. Keep on keeping on!

  • Very funny, you should make The Strike tv series.

  • You guys are so creative! xD <3

    I love this.

    You've totally got my support.

    Happy Holidays!

  • okay, one more I can't resist...

go to your room writers you are GROUNDED, no truffles 4u!!!

    '-)

  • my puppies name is Aspen maybe it is a good sign!! '-)

    RM call me! lol

  • "the one CD is washing?? lmao" love it!!

You can wave all you want just don't lie to RM!! he hates liars, he yelled at me once for 20 minutes telling me how he did not have time to talk to me because I bluffed past the powers that be to try and talk to him!! I admire the man for that, (speaking his mind to me I mean)

who knows maybe one day he will finally be ready to listen to my pitch!!

    '-)

wait a minute should I wave too?

It beats trying to bluff your way in lol

    Happy Holidays to all

  • Something tells me they werent waving by to Rupert there, anyway, go WGA, fight the good fight

  • Fuck off, gopher shit. Go WGA!!!

  • LOL, merry christmas from Hawaii, lolololololol

  • I prefer this to television. Keep striking!

  • you know you do have a point there! lol these guys are writing some funny stuff!~

    '-)

  • Write hard, Die free!

  • Having a private plane is just part of the billionaire lifestyle, what's wrong with that? If I made that much money I wouldn't be trying to bang stewardesses on first class American Airlines. No baby, come aboard my private jet!

  • Okay, I didn't think you could top the sandwich one, but you just did! Awsome video!

  • Good luck guys!

  • the moguls don't want to negotiate. they don't care about the writers, nor do they care about the general public, including us television addicts who are dying to see the strike resolved, so the writers can finally get back to doing what they do best- keeping me entertained. Go WGA!

  • Yeah, it's a weird dichotomy (i hope i used that right). On one hand, they need us, but on the other, they think we're mindless crapheaps.

  • Which one is NBC's? The one Carson Daily is washing. Nice!

  • The writers should get a plane!!!
