In order to address a problem, you need to attempt to understand it. Carrying a sign saying "no violence" is hardly an attempt to understand, but to condemn. Since violence has always existed, protesting against it is meaningless. It's not going anywhere. It's not apartheid or the poll tax. There's no men marching in support of violence against women & they're not welcome on a march like this...cast as the villain yet again for crimes that EVERYONE commits & always will commit.
@MegaTress1 Women are paid less than men and occupy the lowest paid jobs, since when was that men? What about prostituted women? And as for men being in prison [again sent there by other men], thats because men commit crime far more than women.
@MegaTress1 First of all, women didn't create the capitalist state therefore they are not to blame for male homelessness and they are certainly not to blame for men dying in wars seeing as the patriarchal capitalist state was the one who sent them to war - rich white men sending poor men to die.
@KlausKolektiv By your reasoning, women are not to "blame" for anything, since we live in a "patriarchy", therefore ALL men, regardless of class, social status, politics, etc., are to blame for everything, since men, by definition, created this "patriarchy".
Yet, if we do live in a patriarchy, then men are ultimately responsible for EVERYTHING that takes place within it...INCLUDING THE POSITIVES. So why concentrate solely on the negatives in that case?
@MegaTress1 Ah, that would be why in 2009, 75% of workers paid a minimum wage are female, 80% of MPs are male, 91% of high court judges are male, 92% of university vice-chancellors are male, 96% of FTSE 100 company directors are male and one in three women will face gender-based violence in her lifetime.
@Oldmusiclover2 All you've done is take somebody's statistics out of context to give the appearance of a pro male bias. Anti feminists do the same thing to attempt to prove otherwise.
Do those statistics offer proof that men "have it better" than women? Only if you think of happiness in life in terms of money & power. Both can equally be seen as burdens.
An argument based on gender alone can never be won...hence feminists never lose the argument as long as men are doing "better".

@MegaTress1 what evidence do you have to substantiate your claims that domestic abuse is simply being ignored?

Now tell me men are oppressed.
