@Ricard0dude I think the form is the same, however there are hundreds of valid answers which are contained in a supplementary document. If you’re not one of the “main” religions you either just write in your answer, or look up the code.

we just did the census in Canada and My whole family marked 3 no religions.

Zippy and gets the point across nicely. ngrep is correct, too many people fill the census out incorrectly, inflating the apparent presence of strongly religious people, when research shows that fewer than 8% of the population even attend a church.

@TamarGirl many non believers either don't bother filling in the section, mark what they consider their 'cultures' religion rather than their lack of belief, mark a religion because they were simply baptised into it, or fill it out with a joke.

This works against the representation of non believers as these figures are used for funding and decision making by both the public and private sectors
