It never fails. Every time there's a video about the Bronx, they always leave out two outstanding vocal groups that came from Da Bronx. The Regents & Nino & The Ebb Tides. Both groups had big hits. The Regents had a #1 hit, in New York for 4 weeks called "Barbara Ann". Nino & The Ebb Tides had "Oldies But Goodies" & "Juke Box Saturday Night", two top 10 singles. It's about time these people got credit. After all, They're all Bronx boys.
Gun Hill projects, PS 41 and Olinville JHS 113. I loved growing up in the northeast bronx getting a slice of pizza at Frankie and Johnnies on boston road: going to Freedomland and getting some Carvel on the way back home. Moved to Manhattan in 1976 but my heart will always be in the Bronx.

Grew up on Tremont and Southern Boulevard, went to PS 98 and "Teadore" Roosevelt high, and wouldn't recognize a single street from this video.... "Da Bronx" is just a sad but beautiful memory....
I came from Throggs Neck. Over on Schley Ave and East Tremont. It was a great place growing up back in the day. But I moved out in 1979, went to Brooklyn made my home there 28 yrs and now I am up in the wilderness. Sometimes I really wish I was back in the Bronx where it all began. They say it changed. I say people make it change. It is still the Bronx and I am still a Bronx Girl or shall I say woman. I am proud to say I grew up in the Bronx.
Who ever put this together is a real piece of shit, thanks for reminding all of us just how FUCKED UP the Bronx has become. This aquasoft.net company has shown everyone what a real cesspool the Bronx now is. The animals who came after my generation shit all over the Bronx.
This is a very nice video of The Bronx. You left out that Butch Barbella who was born and raised on Arthur Ave. was the writer of this song and wrote all the original music and was the music supervisor for the movie "A Bronx Tale"
You too?! I lived in apt. 4D ... no elevator! I lived on Longfellow Avenue from 1 to 7. Moved to White Plains Road near Parkchester. Went to school (J.H.S. 127) on Castle Hill. Hung out at Castle Hill projects where my best friend lived. Played paddle ball in Parkchester and Castle Hill (JHS 127) handball courts. Those were the geatest times of my life! Good to hear your comments. Big Smile! THANKS!!!

The soundtrack was perfect...enjoyed the video but wish it covered the
west bronx.....anyway, I'm not that far away. It was GREAT being raised
in the Bronx, even if I had to walk up four flights of stairs every day!!!

Actually, Chazz grew up on Cambreleng Ave off of 187th St., not Arthur Ave which is several blocks west.

Great video. It's a shame they had to include Jennifer Lopez lol.
Hand rolled by Dominicans, most likely- since Communism destroyed Cuba, the DR makes the BEST cigars, IMHO.
