  • Nice

  • That is a great video. I will put a link of it on our site to help show people the damage these animals do! Thank you for sharing.

  • You savages killing away all of our wildlife and someday putting these poor animals in endangerment. Ha just foolin' kill em all! (ps. small ones are better too eat)

  • Lol problem?,Texas

  • Hogs are kool,,i guess another reason for white folk to hunt and buy a new gun...lol...we dont have any here in PA

  • HAHAHAHA you get em piggy! Nail that dog

  • let go HOG HUNTING!

  • Is this about HOGS? I like HOGS!

  • Did that lady just say: her uncle-in-law is a farmer?!?(1:13) LoL-geesh!

  • I couldnt hear anything over the banjoes and the crickets.

  • I used to raise hog and even when farrowing some sows would break out and come back eventually with 8 pigs with no food ect.. So now they broke out. Just set up fenced in gate area, add food trup them and harvest. Harvest should be approximately 4 to 5 months after heat. This way you get some nice young ones also

  • send over Asterix and Obelix...problem resolved in 24 hours!

  • I am well aware that these FERAL hogs are a serious problem, and almost feel guilty for my sometimes thoughts. I am just anxiously waiting for them to get to my area! Can't wait to hunt them. Thats bad, because they do millions of dollars in damage, and I don't believe we can ever completely stop their advance.

  • I get 13 cents per pound for the bastards and I kill up to 6 a week most of which are upwards of 200 pounds

  • is there a bounty on them? if not, why?

  • You moron inbred dumbass hicks complain that wild pigs breed faster than rabbits and are destroying your property, agriculture and "way of life" but you low IQ idiots killed off its natural predators, which were the wolf and mountain lion which would obviously kept the numbers of wild pigs under control.

It pisses me off when some people dont have a brain cell to run on.

  • @Vr4z1el Not only that, but the way they hunt i mean, they allow their hounds to rip the ears at the pig, then the hunters go and stab the pig to death! How is that humane? And where did the pigs come from? They are an 'introduced' species aren't they? Well there ya go!

  • @MaddyRockRoxs Terrible isn't it?

  • @Vr4z1el You are so right!

  • AC 130...

  • i dont get it why use dogs to hunt them ?

  • @JESTER588 ... easier to find them,,, the dogs wear them out n hold them till you can put an ak to its head

  • @Earssss ah just thought that it would be terribly inefficient and also dangerous for the dog

  • @JESTER588 ,,, it is the best way to find , track the hogs,,, and yes it is very deadly for the dogs,,, you have to have the dogs wrapped in kevlar collars,, jackets etc.... the more dogs the better thou.. one on one the pig has a good chance of killing the dog

  • seems like some biologist could just engineer some kind of "hog plauge" in a lab then release it in the population. nothing could go wrong with that.

  • just eat them

  • givem to hawaii .... we need more spam!!!!

  • I'm in Texas kinda wanna see one of these

  • we should be doing this to them hasidic jews, this modafukers multiply like hogs lol

  • Chuck Norris can kick some hog ass!

  • I say catch the hogs and turn them loose in Mexico.

  • I hope all hunters rot in hell

  • @Pyzodx3 I hope liberal gun hating dumb shit assholes like you rot in Hell !

  • Hey Katie,

nice video. I'm not sure how you can love them but I can understand why you love hunting them, like I do here in Oz. I'm not sure I'd wanna pick one up either unless your feral pigs are cleaner and healthier than ours. Ours are full of ticks and worms and the closest I'd wanna get to one is at the noisy end of a .308! Happy hunting.... =D

  • illegals problem too...but I digress.

  • I live in TX...and the odd thing is, every farmer that has hogs on his land wants $100+/day/gun to allow you to hunt them. Does not sound like they want to get rid of them too bad...

  • @SeanBoburk Mate we have the same problem here in Oz. The farmers complain about feral, dogs, cats, goats, pigs, donkeys, camels, foxes, rabbits... ETC and yet they are more interested in making a $ from shooters and saving a $ by having them shot! Strange logic.

  • @SeanBoburk ,,, just tell that farmer to enjoy them then lol

  • @SeanBoburk ..or ask the farmer when he sells his corn,, does he pay ppl to eat it lol,,hunter are providing a service to the farmer,, if they want to charger money to remove the hogs from their land ,,,,, i would laugh at them

  • @SeanBoburk Is there a hog hunting season in Tx? And if I had to kill one, off season, for protection of my property, would I be charged?

  • @Perbear213 Season is 365 days a year. Night or day...can use anything you want to kill them with (dogs, bait, knife, spear, bow, gun, bazooka...OK...maybe not the bazooka...). Texas just wants them dead.

  • @SeanBoburk are you just really a feral hog on youtube

  • @SeanBoburk They're being greedy about it. Let them be greedy, the hogs will destroy everything and get more and more dangerous.

  • @katanaguy100 I'm not sure if the Cities will buy them. If you want I'm sure there would be someone that would be willing to buy meat. The best place to hunt are probably hunting reserves. Lights I'm sure arn't what you need unless your using them to see in the dark, but bait is very good to use. Last thing is traps... basically if you can build 'em you can use 'em.(Or buy them) XD

  • @katanaguy100 Well I live in Texas and we DO have a huge problem with hogs. But i fin that the best place is down towards Galveston Island. I know you were probably joking about the "where do I sign up" but i still thought i would tell you. XD

  • Can a person make a living hunting those things? If so I might move to Texas :)

  • Sorry but this is a problem all through the south. Alabama has them also and they can be shot during hunting season on other animals. They are such a problem in our area that they have swat teams taking care of the problem at least once a year. People need to see the difference between domesticated pigs (like Babe, the pig) and a wild boar which outweighs Babe by around 1,000 lbs!

  • @whitestang289 This is a world problem. Europe is being over ran by feral hogs as well. They were a Middle East animal that provided an easy and good food source and spread around the world by farmers. Now they are living in places with predetors and are growing out of control. Not native, chase off native animals, Year round open season + bounties imo. Mustanges found a niche after the buffalo herds were cut down, feral pig though has no niche.

  • How healthy is it to eat them, I've heard they carry more diseases. Other than that happy hunting!

  • And why people who want to buy cannabis MUST intercourse with a mafia, thereby putting themselves at risk and are wary of police persecution? Is it not better if they ACQUIRE Cannabis special place by the State. Where are DIRTY MONEY? Why ordinary people can not engaged in this business, plant seeds, watered, grow, harvest, delivered to the state and thereby earn a living CLEAN MONEY.

  • I think this pig overpopulation is awesome for all the bacon grease eating people suffering obesity America, especially in the South. It gives them reason to get off their fat asses and find get some exercise and hunt for their food. It's probably healthier for them. Shoot your own ham this Easter because afterall pigmeat is what Jesus is all about.

  • @ zechthefreakful

    We can spotlight coyotes too

  • Yup in Texas hogs are whenever, however, no limit, u can spotlight them. There a free for all.

  • @MrSteelefire ALMOST a free-for-all... You still must be a licensed hunter in the State of Texas. Otherwise you're a poacher and will get yourself in deep shit even for hunting pigs.

  • had not thought about that, but i'm pretty sure bows are illegal too, they don't even let you carry a blade thats more than 6 inches long! easiest way is with pitsbulls they hold'em from the ears and wait for you to get them.. and traps... the problem is so big now that there's herds of about 60 and they form a circle and protect the small ones and THEY WON'T EVEN RUN SOMETIMES.. i'm trying to get a permit legally hopefully they'll let me.

  • @aquienleimporta1 dont know where your from but pigs can be killed with whatever whenever here in texas bows knives dogs guns there also the only animal you can spotlight maybe coyotes too

  • stupid fat fuck hick, wtf u mean putting ur way of life in jeapardy? so u cant eat as much corn? they were here before u planted ur food u dumb fucks

  • @theneeg Actually, a lot of feral pigs are domesticated ones that were let out to feed too long and bred in the wild. so its a problem of their own making as much as it is a pre-existing condition.

  • @theneeg A "man" that uses the letter "u" for the word "you" calling someone dumb. That's funny. "wtf u mean," absolutely brilliant! You have recognized that YouTube has a spell checker haven't you? Are you too dumb to use it? I'm sure you would never call someone a "fat fuck hick" to their face. You're a little coward after all. Not that you have the intelligence to understand this, but they weren't here before us. They have escaped from farms, or they've been released by hunters.

  • @theneeg I hope this isn't looked at as an invitation for an argument, because that is the last thing I am trying to do.... however, that is not true. Pigs are not native to MOST areas of the planet. They have been moved around by humans who did not know any better many many centuries ago, and because they have nearly no natural predators in these other regions, their numbers grow far too rapidly, destroying native plants of the area, and driving off native species. Just a thought... Take care!

  • me and my friends are about to hunt these in a couple weeks, the big ones are moving in and we are about to setup camp on the farm + lots of guns = lots a fun

  • we have a shoot on site law in Iowa

  • there are thousands of these hogs in my hometown... right on the border of texas and mexico... CANDELARIA TEXAS... we own property in mexico with lots of feral hogs .. but can't hunt with comfort cause weapons are illegal in mexico. ;(

  • @aquienleimporta1 Even crossbows?

  • For them being such a big problem I sure haven't been able to find anywhere to hunt them... everyone seems to want you to pay THEM to hunt on their land when the hogs are doing all this damage. In the DFW area, responsible, have gun and will travel...

  • To bad we can't shoot them down in S. TX - here they call it poaching. You need a license adn it has to be on a lease???

  • sorry about the farmers but i lov hunting pigs and i say the more the marier

  • how do they get the flesh off the skulls?

  • @cscate dig a hole and burry the head. after a month or 2 bugs will eat at it and itll just rot off. take it out and hose whats left off. then you could clean it up with bleach, but be careful. too much bleach will make them brittle. easyest way i know.

  • @adammotox is this true with other animals and humans?

  • @cscate well ive done it with deer heads also but dont bleech the horns, if your trying it on a human skull youve got problems.

  • I say that we Texans could produce a lot of meat to go to charities, orphanages, homeless, etc if the state mandated organized a way for lawmen to pick the dead pigs up and process them after they are shot. Most of the time people don't want to have to deal with the mess of cleaning them and/or transporting them to a butcher. The state might even profit off of it if they sold a certain amount overseas

  • Comment removed

  • People should move elswhere then, killing hogs won't solve the problem.

  • @spaghetti3331, kind of a dumb comment don't you think?

  • nudering the male hogs is actually a more effective way of population control

  • @Wolfendale69 I have to respectfully disagree. Neutering the hogs would likely do about as much as hunting them would, and it would cause the state government to have to step in, wasting tax dollars and valuable government resources. Animal rights activists would probably go even crazier if they heard that instead of just hunting the animals, we were castrating the males in a "twisted" attempt to play god. Maybe hunting isn't exactly nice, but at least the hogs get to keep on busting a nut!!!

  • yeah right blame it on the hogs ,we humans keep cutting down forests and they have no ware to go , so they keep coming to us , were the problem , what were 6,7 billion people and they are what 10,000 + - ...

  • @MrPrivatetv1 I could not agree with you more. We are encroaching on their territory. However, unfortunately that is not going to change. Plus, if you walked into a bear den, and the bear thought you were gonna do something to mess up what it had built, it would kill you in nothing flat; and I'm not trying to be rude, but it wouldn't give two shits about your current compassion for animals and their space. So maybe take it easy on those whose homes and businesses are being destroyed by wild hogs

  • @MrPrivatetv1 , what do you people not understand about feral hogs? these are not animals native to this area...it is not a matter of people encroaching on their space...please educate yourself.

  • I'm from continental europe, sorry for my bad english.

Hunting is ineffective. Only way you can stop feral hog spredding is with pig cholera (CSF virus). Humans are immune but it's a highly contagious for wild boars. This desease is only thing that can keep them on short leash.

  • @Stiv591972 Probably a valid point. However, I would sooner have hunters running wild and actually putting the meat to good use all over the world than simply spread famine and disease through the pig populations. In my own opinion, humans have made too many horrifying, disastrous mistakes simply by taking the easy route, which is what infecting them appears to me to be. Governments must allow hunters in affected areas to hunt them free of charge! Put some food on peoples' tables! A tasty plan!

  • @jasong19711 i advise a bow... but sounds more like heavy artillery to me.

  • all rite shoot the fucking hog or dont. dogs bitting them is mean, and plus the dogs get hurt half the time. just shoot the pig, kill it fast if your going to kill something. you ppl who take some sort of sick pleasure watching animales die slow should fucking die of cancer. you want to go see something die, go join the Army, and see a human die, that will chang your view in a second. damn is it just me or is everyone outside of NY a dumb fucking hick?

  • @IIIJFRIII you ppl should try your inhumain animule killing ways up here. you wouldent leave here alive. i mean im sorry for the damage but kill them fast, i know hunting is big in the other 48 states so dont be pulling some we need dogs to find them bull shit. these pigs are so much of a berden they are in ppls yards. i dont think it would be that hard to pull out and gun shoot the thing kill it fast. you dont need to hunt them with dogs. just wrong, so un-Christian of you.

  • @IIIJFRIII Ur the dumb one for not realizing where your food comes from. Hint it's not sterile wrapped behind the butcher counter at the supermarket. Ever been to a slaughter house? U wouldn't think that's humane I promise u. They're wild pigs, they die ugly deaths that u don't witness from wounds, disease, starvation, overpopulation, starvation. I guess as long as "Man" has no hand it's ok?

  • @texicanhunter

@IIIJFRIII Hunting doesn't begin to keep up with the population explosion-3 litters of 6 piglets per sow per year. 2 million hogs in Texas so 1 million sows. 18 pigletsX1 million is 18 MILLION HOGS PER YEAR so we have to eradicate or face massive crop damages, disease, associated pests, deforestation, other specie eradication. Starting to get the picture?

  • @IIIJFRIII And what's with "you want to go see something die, go join the Army and see a human die" comment? We join the military to serve our country and serve our fellow citizen, to protect them from Muslim terrorists and defend their Constitutional Rights. Get outside of NY and lose the narrow, parochial, insular viewpoint. Also, FYI, the military has a "don't ask, don't tell" policy so u'll be OK.

  • @dibi105 VERY GOOD. Gotta cook them a little more than other pork, worms n junk like that.

  • Kill as many as you can, they repopulate pretty quick.

  • Mmmm... I bet they taste good!!

  • @dibi105 Incredibly tasty. But. They are feral and cannot be sold in public market places without being inspected by federal or state authorities. Most wild hogs won't pass inspection 'cause of hog cholera, pseudo rabies and trichinosis. Still safe to eat, but ya gotta cook 'em well done. I eat 'em frequently.

  • I understand that 70% of the feral hog population would have to be taken annually in order to stabilize the population. I just can't see that happening. Props for putting this up. Maybe some of the anti's and vegetarians will see this and gain some understanding. Well done.

  • "In terms of eradication, I don't know if we're ever going to get to that point or not."

The problem is so bad in california that they aren't even asking the 'eradication question'. Oregon is much like california 30 yrs ago or whenever this started in cali. Next on the target list.

But the most notable and unmentioned is Hawaii. With much rainfall, the pig ruts (stirred up soil with feces, rather than clear water which larvae can't survive/thrive in) allow for disease carrying mosquitoes that

  • 0:35 Texas also has a problem with obesity, my man.

  • leave the there is h1n1 lol :)

  • there is a huge domestic cat overpopulation in my area so i began hunting them. i have one of the videos of one of the hunts on my channel, check it out

  • Comment removed

  • @jasong19711 tainted with dynamite you mean? :D

  • I made a video where I mixed the air cavalry scenes from Apocalypse Now with helicopter hog eradication in Texas.

Bill Kilgore leads the Texas Air Cavalry against the plague of hogs.

  • I don't think the hunters really want to fix the problem as much as keep it stable so they will always have their fun. The only way to really address this issue is to initiate a mass culling/extermination campaign. Pay a group of people a certain amount and have them clear the land acre by acre of every hog they encounter. Walking around some abandoned farm with a couple pit bulls and sitting around for an hour as they play with ONE hog isn't going to do a damn thing.

  • @highgrade1980 Hey im all for it. You need a gun im here

  • thanks for posting this vid im tired of all the whiney hippies leaving nasty comments on all the hog dog huntin vids on youtube

  • is she hunting with a pit bull?

  • east of Huntsville towards Lake Livingston, I saw young hogs all over the place. I'd like to shoot them.

  • Im on a lease west of madisonville and we do our part on this problem lets just leave it at that! :)

  • I'm in New Roads La. I was talking to a guy who shot five of them swimming across the mississippi. He shot em in the head and pulled them in the boat. I've been working on and checking hog traps for the last five days. They come and go.

  • We need the natural predetors we killed off in the south back.Red wolf, cougars, grizzlys, black bears ect.

  • These animals are a nuisance and should be eradicated.

  • I'd love to turn som loose in my province of Ontario so I can hunt some and eat them

  • can anyone give me a link of the picture on 0:15

i need it for a science project ;)

  • I'm not a hunting advocate and even came here to make a negative comment about the killing of that record 780lb hog. But, a/f watching this video, kinda better understand what's up.

  • @ThatguyNice Thank you for that comment.

  • They are sure fun to hunt, but never, never turn them loose to do so. The downsides far outweight the upsides of hogs.

  • The meat is excellent. Just like deer, don't run them if you can help it. Gives it a strong taste. Best meat to mix with venison for susages, and makes great jerky. If you trap, castrate and feed for a short time, its hard to beat this meat. And the ribs bar-b-qued? The best!

  • Have a hog problem? please call me at 210-365-4935. We hunt the hogs free of charge and donate the meat to a church for the needy. Thank you, and God Bless. In San Antonio, Texas or surrounding

  • Much love/respect for ya'll :)

  • free dog and cat food, assuming they're not finicky eaters: you could feed kennel's on pork.

  • and Vegans support these pest. Feral pigs are killing the livestock of corn farmers. Make some bacon people.

  • Comment removed

  • @R5H4D0W I am not trying to be rude, and I don't presume to generalize vegans in a category of ignorant treehuggers, but I must respectfully ask where these vegan hunters are! I live in So. Cal. (which might be the problem in the first place) and I have never heard of such a creature walking this earth. Vegan hunter? Sounds very paradoxical...

  • @Shaw52587 Well you certainly make a good point.

I made that statement to allievate the misconception of overgeneralizing vegans. I have friends who are vegans who "support hunting practices for population control," but I guess I should have asked then whether they have actually hunted before I made that statemen. Comment removed :)

  • @1Nanalo When the vegans realize that these hogs are eating the crops that they depend on for their vegetarian diets, you have to ask, would you rather have the hog population controlled or go hungry? As hogs are a non-native invasive species, an enviromentalist would support their eradication.

  • this must be where Chipotle's free range pork comes from.

  • With the economy the way it is someone should look into promoting them as a source for personal food and for food charities. Put up a sign did your neighbor loose his job " Kill a hog " : )

  • They make good chili, just don't try to butcher and sell them or an agent might come to get you.

  • i wan it to go hunting hogs in texas with my dogs please any farmer guy from texas give me a call i am from arizona i got dogos argentinos they are good hunting hogs 480-703-2277 sergio adaro

  • The population nationwide is estimated to be 6 million now, not 2 million. 40 states have problems.

  • guess you can make that 41.lol

  • good video...

  • Davis your crazy. I love me a wild pig pork chop. Very hard to chew. HA! you sound like a damn panzy

  • you are all hoggy rednecks... save the hog dawgs.

  • can you eat them!?

  • Absolutely. I've heard people prefer wild pig meat to domestic pig meat.

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • lol palaka.. u from hawaii? u should know beter .lol

  • WTF was so racist & ugly about my comment u donky?. u asked if you could eat wild hogs.judging by the word palaka, witch is a type of hawaiian clothing print,i thought u were from here & ALOT of hawaiian people hunt hogs for food.srry 4 assuming but you sir are an idoit.far as the mother comment¦GROW UP KID. ALOHA

  • i live in a georgia, there has to be more than 2 million in the states

  • Pigs are terrible... We've trapped and killed about thirty in two weeks...

  • I thought they were talking about women. LOL

  • Everybody that has something bad to say about hunting hogs or trapping them need to watch this vid and shut up!

  • can you eat big wild boars

  • ya you can but they taste horrible and they are very hard to chew. Ive heard that soaking the meat in vinegar will 'cure' the taste, but ive never tried.

  • i forgot to mention, the big ones arent the ones you want to eat. Younger pigs actually taste better than domestic pigs.

  • Yes, you can... There isn't any difference in the taste from a regular pig

  • pigs are smarter than dogs (fact)

  • im not a hunter , what do they use dogs for when they hunt a pig?

  • I would love to hot hogs... I'll film it too!

  • ya think that is bad were i live one of our neghibors cathces pigs and from jan to october they caught over 7,000 wild pigs

  • we have tha same problems up here in Missourah

  • Wild hog meat is better than any domestic pig meat Wildhog meat hardly has any fat, wild hogs are not injected w/ chemicals and testosterone shots like domestic hogs, and they are not fed chemicals. Wild hog much better trust me I eat it allthe time. The mexican cowboys that I work with build a fire in a hole and leave cabeza de marronno(head of apig)in it over night they really enjoy that. I dont think itsall that great though. The vaqueros(mexican cowboys)I work w/ also rope pigs off horseback.

  • I hear of the damn hog problem all the time, and I live near Greenville and Mesquite TX. Tell me where to go hunt hogs please! I have the guns to take them, I just need landowners permission and directions to location of hog sightings. PM me if you want someone entertaining and creative to take on your hog team.

  • good video there, Katie.

i wish i could come to TX every year and hunt the hogs and help those farmers out but i just don't have the money to do so. but when i do get the chance every so often, i make sure to bag as many as possible! it's good fun, hog hunting.

  • well guys in texas you dont have to have tags to kill fereal hogs if you have permission from a farmer (which is a great favor to them ) you can hunt as many as you want

  • God, I wanna move to Texas. I've never hunted hog before know that it would be fun. I live in Philly and there are only a few places that we can hunt, and even then, licenses (deer) are very limited. Besides the fun, I think hunting hogs in Texas can actually be profitable since there is so many so them. Is the meat good enough for butcher shop to sell the meat online? Never ate wild hog but I reckon it taste hardly different then regular pork.

  • no its illeagle to sell meat from game you killed (i live in tx)

  • Hog meat is not as good as a regular pig. It's really tough and "gamey" (to some, i kinda like the gamey taste).

You have to know how to cook it right to get the meat to be tender. Lots of acidic/alcohol marinades are used. Some use a 50/50 alcohol/coke (such as rum/coke, jack/coke) just to get the meat tender.

  • there's no bag limit or season for hogs in texas actually..

  • what to do?? well i say less veggies and more pork chops.. fried with egg/flour breading and some white gravY!!!!!

  • free bacon and pork for anyone who shoots it

  • totaly agreed, ill join you with couple of my greyhound x pitts and then ill see...

these people are livin in heaven why dont they go and kill em all.

  • We kill as many as possible. There are lots of people in Texas that would let you come and hunt pigs on their property if you're respectful and careful with the rest of their property. I have friends that kill 200 a year sometimes more, and they don't even put a dent in the population. I shoot .300 winmag and at $1.25 for the cheap stuff, even shooting 200 hogs gets expensive. If I shoot my reloads then I'm wasting time too. It's paradise for us hunters but hell for the people that own the land.

  • Envy is the only word i know to describe my feelings for hunters of texas,is it legal to shoot hogs at night from 4x4 with a light?.300 is classy for hogs,u can use 30-06 or 270 if there ammo is cheap? or just use 12 guage with buck shots, but if you want to get rid of them from your land u ve to use dogs(its much more fun as well)keep on fire burning in ur heart mate.
