oh, I beg your pardon. Too used to being set upon by socialists!
Hmm, the healthcare bill is unpopular, the british PM is increasingly held in contempt, everyone views Obaka's peace prize as a joke... I don't think people are all that stupid - though they definitely don't appreciate philosophy. It's the politicians who are, almost to a man, contemptible morons.
Plenty of people are convinced that those of us who are furious about the award are right-wing conservative nutjobs. (Im an objectivist, but they can't tell the difference)
Same goes for the healthcare proposition, in fact I predict that it will pass, and that we will eventually get a through nationalization of the health care industry in this country, via Parkinson's Law
Canada's constitution omits any clear protection of property rights, in 2003 the Supreme Court said Parliament has the right to expropriate property without compensation or "due process" (still sounds shady). Without protection in the constitution Canada's destined to be a Marxist state
I can't believe how naive Brenda is:
"The police have never ever abused any power they've ever been given, and even if they do it will be really easy to repeal that power right away"
lol

it seems extraordinary that people would even consider a law such as this; it's so obviously wrong.

heh, your post is dated 7 months ago, I wonder if you still think this way now, after all the shit that's been happening
Sam26100 2 years ago
What has happened that alters the fact that people have property rights? You're goddamn right I still think that law is ridiculous.

You misunderstand. I meant the idea that people are smart enough to not concider an absurd law

Wow, only 300 views in nearly 2 years, how sad... this is an important issue that the mass media does not report
