  • what happened in the left lane ? lol !

  • dude, srt-4's are no joke. They can be fast as shit! ive seen one pull on a modded LS2 GTO. Yea, im not a huge fan of them either, but theyre not laughing matter.

  • is this a 355 or an LT1? i have a 97 z28 and its an LT1 350? just wondering...

  • damn i got a 95 z28 camaro what would u recamend twin supers or twin turbos and was that a qurter or an 8th mile

  • what kind of blower is that?

  • it was about to take off!!!

  • why do people ever want to drive an SRT4. nice car

  • how much horsepower and ft. lbs. of torque

  • I had to laugh when I seen what was in the other lane

  • Nice show getting the wheels up like that for just an 11s. How is the rear setup? Huge swaybar and bags or something?

  • no i have bags but i dont really use them i run 5 psi in them. i have qa1 front and rear shocks. check out my 10.87 run.

  • 90/10 shocks I assume that front end jumped and stayed up the whole pass.

  • No its not 90/10 valving. its just the qa1 single adjustable shocks with 275 lb springs

  • sorry i ment put a lt4 cam in the lt1

  • Ive owned em all ls1 lt4 lt1 and i feel a lt4 The lt moters i love them for the street iron block alluminum headed torque monster they have alot more torque and you can make the same power at alot less rpm i love em I liked the ls1 too but had to rap it alot higher to get the same power and torque and the ls1 witha lt4 cam and rockers(roller with exhaust and heads will eat als1 the lt4s the best

  • wow...people's "knowledge" of these cars never cease to amaze me...SS's where made from 96-02, 96 and 97 where Lt1 Ram air cars with suspension upgrades. A very very select few had the Lt4. In these two ears they had different suspension options as well, so some SS's are different than others in those years.

In 98-02 the SS's came with ram air, suspension upgrades, and the same LS1 motor as any other Z28, SS, Formula, or Trans Am.

    Lt1's stock=high 13's at most

    Ls1's stock=low 13-hi 12s

  • When i purchased the car it had all of the upgrades the SS had. I wasnt going to remove the SS badges and replace them with the Z28 badges. I call it an SS because it has the upgrades, which no longer matter because i have a better setup than the stock SS config. Thanks for your comment though.

  • @pattybart1023 ether way z28 or ss, its still a bad ass car.

  • @pattybart1023 Doesn't matter if it has "SS" upgrades or not. They did not build a Camaro SS in 1995, therefore yours is a fake, poser, wannabe SS.

  • @4mulaBaby ever heard of a clone?

  • @4mulaBaby dude really the SS doesn't have ram air.. you can have ram air on camaro's by doing it your self but in all honisty it still wouldn't be ram air.. quick question where is the air filter on a camaro?.. well on the LT1 they had on teh front drive side.. LS1 had it right nest to the bumper.. now ask your self this where it the ram air at on the camaro.. in the middle of the hood. so it proves no point of having it. only F body to have ram air was the Trans Am Ws6.. and low 13 hi 12.. No

  • @civilwar51190

Uhm...96-97 Camaro SS's had ram air, really no 2 ways about it, you've obviously not seen under the hood of one before. The intake snaked up to right underneath the hood scoop, where the air filter sat on top of the intake manifold. The 98-02 models with "ram air" hoods had functional hoods, but the filter didn't sit right behind them-they were used to circulate air in the engine compartment to make the bottom feeder style air intake (in front of the radiator) more effortless.

  • @civilwar51190

And you're onbviously not well exposed to fbody's if you don't believe that a factory late 4th gen can pull low 13's high 12's 100% bone stock...remember, each track is different conditions, but its been done a billion times over in decent air. Believe what you want, but that's the truth.

  • @4mulaBaby.. ok dude.. the SS came with ram air.. But But it was extra money not all and it was 96 and 97.. any how are u serious that high 12's yea dude each track was different but it had to be at the right moment where the sun is at the right angle.. highly unlikely.. most i have seen a bone stoke LS1 run at the track was 13.5 at 98.. and that was at norwalk.. and not exposed to F-Bodys i bet i have owned more F bodys then you will ever have.. i own two right now acually lol

  • @4mulaBaby plus the only year you can have a Lt4 was 1994 only had that but. they where junk to start with. dude really i wouldn't be tring to make fun of some one if you dont know to much eather. i agree with you that this guy should say it is a SS. because it isn't.. thats what a ricer would say.. ( well look at my C6 Z06 Corvette.. no dude that base model corvette with some work done to it.. well same thing it a Z06..No its not)... please tell me that is not what a ricer would say

  • wow that thing held the front up for awhile. nice camaro man. im hoping to hit mid - low 11's with my z she is at 12.80 right now i should be able to hit low 11's with a 150 shot and maybe a diff cam, stall

  • sweet car

what type of supercharger how much PSI?

  • z28 but they was auto dude mines a 6speed i have did a race over x-mas & he killed a z28 auto then he ran his moth about he can take any z28 stock so i ran him & he lost 5G's to this day he will not say he can take any z28s ony auto......

  • unfortunately there were no such 95 SS's tho but i like what you've done with the car, looks good

  • you're right its a z28. It just came with all of the SS options

  • well i got a 95 z28 6speed lt1 what option dos the ss have bec... i left a ss [newer one like 02] on i95 to my openyen i think ss are slower then the z28's lt1's "Stock"

  • Not true i have a SS 96 Car number 12 and ran z28 all day long have no problems taking care of busy. You have to do something to a stock z28 to bet a SS..................

  • You're retarded

  • well...there's quite a few holes in your logic here...

A SS IS A Z28...but with more options...its actually a Z28 SS...the ss's had Ram air and suspension upgrades, so...two properly running cars stock, the SS wins.

The second thing is...Ls1's are faster, auto or M6...they're faster than LT1's....in these cars auto vs. manual makes very very little difference...its all about the driver...

  • mmm no auto vs manual makes a significant difference when theyre stock. its not untill you start getting higher stall converters that the gap closes.

  • I've seen a few auto vs manual race videos, and one them was actually two LT1 camaros one manual one auto...they were actually very close, they'd slightly pull each other in each gear, but once they were in top gear they were side by side.

  • my friend owns a 94 z28 a4 and i have a 96 ws6 m6 and i walk on him pretty hard. we both have just headers and true duals. i know from first hand experience

  • The 96 LT1 had about 10hp more than the 94 models. Also, the WS6 and SS had about 20hp more than the TA and Z28.

So brand new out of the factory, your car came with 30hp more power.

That being said, your car is 2 years newer. And on top of all, your car is at least twice as expensive. WS6 is relatively rare, it's no surprise if the previous owners took better care of it than the Z28.

Your comparing apples to oranges here man. You would still beat him in an AT.

  • his has significantly less miles and a CAI which=my ram air.

the manual cars put more power to the ground and came with better gears. i have 3.42s he has 2.73s.

the power difference from the factory was cause the exhaust and intakes were of different design. so since we both have the same exhaust and a decent intake...that makes your statement irrelevant.

  • If his CAI was gonna be the same as the ram air, no one would pay more for a WS6 when they can put in a 60 dollar mod to do the same thing. Same with headers. It's like saying your average Joe can do what SLP did for thousands of dollars with a few hundred bucks.

But even if Joey could outdo SLP. How are you so sure of the gears? Rear ends had not much to do with AT or MT or even the trim. Autos just had shorter gears in the tranny to make up for having 2 less gears.

  • the CAI has been dyno proven to make the same power as the ram air.

and yes..you can get much a much better exhaust than what SLP had to offer....MUCH better.

aftermarket long tube headers>anyother type of header.

true dual 3" exhaust>>>anything SLP had to offer.

im sure of the gears because i have done my research. i know which cars had which gears. If you know anything about drag racing, rear end gears make a huge difference. especially if you have 2.73s compared to 3.42s.

  • Yeah, they make a huge ass difference but on the same tranny.

If you have a different tranny, with different ratios, it's a whole another story. Tranny makes all the difference.

Then again you can't really use the gears as an argument against AT, the rear end was shitty and its failure is a common problem and people have to get it fixed at about 100K. Most people end up swapping to something else.

  • "Tranny makes all the difference" :)

of course i can. the auto cars came with different gears. that plays a large role in why theyre slower. that, and cause its a proven fact that they put down less power to the wheels.

iv owned my share of fbodies and i know for a fact what these cars can and cant do. i know first hand. personal experience. the autos are SLOWER than the m6 in stockish form. when you get into the higher power ranges, the auto is faster cause they can launch harder.

  • aright fine man whatever you say. I meant the gear ratios are shorter in the tranny so it cancels out the rear end lower ratio. I know this first hand too, my Camaro does near 3000rpm at interstate speeds in 4th gear.

Honestly though if you look at it realistically you gotta be a really good shifter to be faster than a auto. And especially with a 300hp car, you really gotta know what you're doing or you'll be going through clutches one after the other like crazy.

  • @LT1berad seems to me a cold air intake wouldn't really matter on the dyno since the car isn't moving, therefore that hot air from the motor can make it's way to the intake, where if it was moving it wouldn't be able to

  • @theraf8100 they put giant fans in front of the car to simulate outside air movement

  • @LT1berad Aaahhh Yes....the fan...forgot about that :) ...On a side note you say it "simulates" it...Does that mean that the fan speed is directly proportional to the "speed" of the vehicle?

  • @theraf8100 Not really. lol just a big ass fan thats moving a lot of air.

  • my 94z a4 came with 3:23s
