kim wore a wedding ring up until a certain episode and JD didn't notice her b/c of the ring. All married women are invisible to JD.

Even worse though is that right after the elevator clip shown, the Janitor stops it, then climbs down the elevator shaft and tries to tie JD's hands up just before Dr. Cox opens the door and saves him. She would have been in that elevator and even witnessed the thing with the Janitor had she been there.
