  • Greatest respect for you Lou, you still sound awesome, rock on!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for posting, no one every absorbs there mortality till its there own, human nature, and the young, we have a world of hurt coming. rock on forever.

  • That lucky lady!!!!

  • Lou still sounds good....I'd definitely pay to see him

  • He is still doing it after all he has been through. You go Lou.

  • @warpathHB You are right, as far as I am concerned, he is the "Master"!!!!! No other voice like that back in the 70's. This man should be inducted into the 'ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME", without a doubt!!!!!

  • @rogeratl55 No doubt my friend...no doubt!

  • Will always love your singing Lou.You are one of a kind.I love your singing .I grew up listening to your voice.God bless you .

  • I certainly hope you all agree with me, but I am 55yrs old and absoutely love FOREIGNER. There will never be another LOU GRAMM. I nominate LOU GRAMM to the "ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME. He is spectacular!!!

  • Lou Gramm IS Foreigner, no ifs ands or buts about it, Without Lou we would have never heard of the band. LOU IS THE MAN! He rocks.

  • looks like Chriss Squire now

  • Lou was much older than most of his 70s rock band contemporaries. He's 7-8 years removed from Jagger/McCartney's generation. He just got a late start is all. Secondly~ Any of you shit talkers wanna tell me how you had a Garbanzo-sized brain tumor pulled out of your head, and can still get up on stage and have hundreds of people pay to watch you belt it out, feel free to msg me anytime. I know by that by 10 years end, that box will still be empty. And Lou will still be fucking rocking at 71.

  • @SouthOCmixdown he got famous with foreigner 26-27 lot younger than foreigner guitarist Mick Jones

  • No other man would I want to hear sing this song. Thank you for singing it again Lou.

  • Talent is talent. He is one of the best rock and roll voices ever. He is a survivor..an old guy yes, but that's what life is about...getting old..and doing what you love for as long as you can...and he's still got the voice. Rock on.

  • One of the most soulful voices in history.

    Pure Mojo.

  • @StudEmonkey What's with the Bon Scott knock? AC/DC is my favorite band and Bon was great at what he did, as was Lou. I would love to sound like Bon Scott. No need to make it sound like it was a bad thing to be compared to Bon.

  • He sounds great! Just great.. Go Lou.. you were always a fav.

  • He has changed, just like us all. But that voice! Lou, you are the man.

  • Comment removed

  • Lou has always had a superior singing voice. He's great, period.

  • He sounds dang good fer an "old guy". Especially good that he's in Manistee MI, my home state.

  • That chick is super cool.

  • I LOVE LOU..BUT ITS HARD WATCHING THIS VERSION OF AN AWESOME SONG..GOD BLESS

  • Hard to do, but I recon he sings this even better now than he did when he first released it!

  • I agree

  • From seeing earlier videos of him, he seems to be getting better each year. The man can still bring it! Keep Rockin' Lou!

  • He's got passion for what he loves and that is singing and I see and know he still got the touch, ROCK ON Lou!!!!!

  • Wow, is that really him? First, I thought that with his illness, he was done singing. Great to see that the ladies still love him, and yes, what an AWESOME voice. I'm an old rocker.....he's one of the best of all time....

  • Dont get me wrong im a great fan of foreigner and lou gramm, but he should retire, sorry it hurts to say this but it is painful to see this.

  • @indianastan A couple of months, when I saw this video the first time, I thought the same, but now I think why should he retire ? Legends don't need to, and he lives for the music. I say let him sing and enjoy it ! We will all get to that age.

  • He looks like Marlon Brando.

  • Still lookin' good Lou ! I Love you !

  • Say what you will, people, this man is AMAZING! You don't know how hard it is to recover as he has and still take the stage and blow away a crowd of happy people like this. He shows enormous courage. But more than that, he shows that his voice and spirit are still completely intact and strong. The lower tuning is only to save the voice over a long tour. I have known many great artists who did this. I am more than sure from listening to him that he still could sing in the original key. Yes!

  • hint of the eighties and still very good

  • Do you think he was having a 77's flash back at 2:12 ?

  • Love Lou, He's just outstanding !!

  • DANG he's changed a lot!

  • What you talkin about yaimavol. The entire song IS a conversation. He's recanting his childhood. I think he did great here. They only tuned him down a semitone or two. And who doesn't tune down at his age?

  • Every time I watch this I am no longer blue. I saw Lou back in 77? at a stadium concert as one of the opening bands for then HUGE Peter Frampton at the Oakland Stadium in front of 65K + and knew that he was special. And to see that oh so lovely lady giving him props gives me hope.

    Quality and integrity never die.

    Rock on Lou!

  • Sorry, folks, I'm a huge LG fan, but it's time for him to retire. He's not really signing the song -- he's sort of talking and trilling his way through it. He can retire knowing he was one of the greats, and that's more than most people can say.

  • You are the Best LOU

  • Wow! I was expecting something really bad after some of the crap I've heard about how he's lost it! He only sings this 1/2 step lower than his original and he still has that killer tone! He's still one of the best rock singers to me!

  • Wow! I was expecting something really bad after some of the crap I've heard about he's lost it! He only sings this 1/2 step lower than his original and he still has that killer tone! He's still one of the best rock singers to me!

  • i love you lou you are a beautiful singer.

  • i had the privilege of meeting Lou on a several occasions..he is great in every respect..

  • What a voice.

    Love ya, Lou....

  • although the years have aged and the times have changed, the music from this classic rocker will live for ever. i would have given anything to see Lou live in action. those who have..just be thankful you have seen a legend.

  • He's such an amazing singer ... always was and always will be. He has to be one of the greatest singers in the past few decades and has such a wonderful voice. Lucky woman for being able to get up there on stage with him and give him a hug. As someone else here has commented, loads of women would give their eye teeth to have been so lucky ! ! !

  • Thank you Lou. Thank you.

  • He sounds a LOT better than he did a year or two ago!!

  • I LOVE YA LOU!!! YOU ARE STILL AS HOT AS YOU EVER WERE! KEEP ON ROCKIN BABY!!

  • You know all of these other singers in their 60's sound like they gargled glass. Lou Obiviously takes care of himself. Great job.

  • That man has bee through a lot and still sound great .

  • I wish Lou and Benjamin Orr could have done something together-I thnk they would have made some great music

  • @northernlitez1

ahh? I think that would be difficult since Ben Orr of The Cars died of cancer some years back

  • Whats his illness

  • @61SGman In ,97 Lou was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After a grueling surgery to remove it, he was put on a recovery program that included steroids, which affected his weight, stamina and voice. He worked very hard to get back to his musical career and still suffers some affects from his ordeal such as shortness of breath. He's a true hero and he still Rocks!!!

  • @northernlitez1 he must have gone through hell

  • @61SGman Yes he did-and his self image took a dive too. He never gave up and ROCKS ON!!!!!!

  • Lou Gramm-the greatest rock voice of his generation. Go Lou! You sound fantastic!

  • lou never ceases to amaze me at how he came back after a horrible illness. im 17 and know who he is and love his work. every night after work on the way home i have midnight blue playin on my ipod to my radio cassette. keep rockin' lou!

  • Lou still rocks it...

  • Yeah I heard he was ill but if he got back down to his playing weight it would help his performance not slamming him either.

  • STOP!!!! Do you people out there realize what a gift that YouTube has given us of a certain age? Some things are just so priceless! And this is one of them.

Thanks to all who have uploaded vids and music from times past.

And thanks for listening to the greatest songs ever written and produced.

And a special, very special thanks to the two guys who invented YouTube.

Your contribution to society in general is so very heartfelt.

    Joseph F

A testament to a great singer. period.

  • @jmm1000, great performance, you're right.

  • @jmm1000 ROTFLMFAO! What are you watching? Not this video! All Lou can do these days is speak the words. His singing days are very long past; as is his once slim waistline!!!

  • So love LOU!!!!!Since i first heard these guys in the 70's. Great memories

  • what is up with the reckless camera work way beyond reason ? how do you explain the dizzying up and down antics, going from facing the floor , then facing the sky, then facing some totally blank spot.

  • some people in the crowd need to shut it.

    great video though :)

  • A classic!!!

  • The greatest voice in rock. I love you Lou!

  • hahahahaha, that woman is awesome, and Lou's reaction is priceless.

  • Wish everyone would quit talking about Lou's illness, he obviously has moved on from there and is doing fantastic. Need to think if him in the present time and that he is just as amazing as he always has been!!!

    {:-)

  • @pmcpk You are absolutely right!

  • @pmcpk what illness would that be??? I love Him regardless

  • big ups Lou, immortal baby!

Also, massive props to the lady at 2mins, you got it Lou.

  • Excellent, great singer!!

  • @pmcpk it's understandable really. But one thing is for sure, the difference between this and when he first made his comeback is astounding. Think of it as a hard-fought victory for Lou. He sounds great.

  • @pmcpk you chosen the right words

  • @pmcpk he's got his voice back , all he needs now is to loose the wieght and he would be the same great singer he once was !!

  • @pmcpk Agreed!
