  • I want to ask sth: does 16 x 7.0 alloy wheel mean 16 inches height and 7 inches wide?

  • not even close dude!! your lame ass video for 12 y.o. kids?

  • I know you, im not sure from where, but i swear to god that i know you.

  • Only World of Wheels provide 30 days warranty on their cars.

  • how can it be it be 139.75 mm in height that would be 5.5 inches hieght isnt tht kinda impossible?

  • @10ony thats the distance form teh bead tot he tread, not the overall height of the tire.

  • I love his double chin and how it shakes when he talks.

  • although this video was helpful, he did miss some information that needed explaining like the aspect ratio to the tire width, rather than just saying its the height of the tire

  • uncle, you are very good instructor.

  • im the owner of expertvillage

  • fuk u then

  • "16 means 16 inches"

    No shit! haha

  • clear as crystals !! thanks

  • Thanks for the useful video.

  • Handy tips! Thanks!

  • Its not the size of the tire, its how you use it.

  • Simple and easy to understand!

  • 215/65-16 ...... 65 is a percentage of the width which is, in this case, 215 (mm). So, a 205/65-16 is at the same time less wide and a little lower because 65% of 205 gives you a smaller number for tire wall height. See my drawing no "Projeto tire size".

  • See my drawing at youtube "Projeto tire size". Projeto means 'project' in portugues.

  • Thanks for the videos Richard :) I'm a newbie and your videos are really helping towards my goal of being a hobbyist auto tech.

  • I just bought some tires today and wondered what the numbers meant.

  • as long as all the numbers on the tires match you can safely put them on your car... : )

  • very helpful

  • Donk ride owners worst nightmare.

I would love to see him try to explain rim offset.

    That would be funny.

Overall hes right, but forgot some things like.

Treadwear number, What The letters such as R,Z,Y mean, And how to tell the born on date of the tire.

  • very good to know!!! thx

  • thnx

  • Hahah this guy is hilarious... just like an Auto Technician. (Auto Technicians don't really care about tires, so they don't really know tires; they just know what makes them wear improperly)

  • Trick or Treat :D

  • THANK YOU... I finally know what those numbers mean!

  • jayc2586:

In the example shown in the video:

    1) The '215' means that the tread is 215 millimeters across.

    2) The '65' means that the height of the sidewall is 65% as wide as the tread. For the tire in the video, the sidewall is 139.75 millimeters high (215 x .65 = 139.75).

    3) The spokesman in the video didn't mention it, but if you change tire sizes, and thus change your overall tire/wheel diameter, your speedometer will be rendered inaccurate.

  • 3 makes sense. thanks a lot, appreciate the info

  • i totally understand o_0

  • wow I finally learned something from Youtube. niiiiiice

  • Thank-you

  • Thank-you for this. Very much!
