I have only gotten Raziel to fly once and I think I pressed the PS1 buttons slightly differently than the way Raina has described. But I was able to get him to gain altitude. What we need now is to see Raina's hands in action. Raina! Can you upload a viral video which shows us which buttons you're pressing when and how fast?

Finally I've been able to do it! Thanks Raina, it's just epic to see Raziel fly!

However I'm not that good yet, I must train more to gain the perfect timing, but Raina, a couple of times my Raziel fly but doesn't gain altitude, he stays at the same for almost the entire time. Has that ever happened to you? If so, do I let R1 too quickly or too late?

But, I think ive nearly got it, I can make raziel fly really fast, its fun, but I have to be high up to make it last, I just cant get him to fly UP like you do. no you don´t need any cheats, it is for pc and playstation version. Find a suitable area like in the video, put camera behind Raz, crouch, jump up, press X to start gliding at the top of the jump, immediately press and hold R1 briefly , and you should get the boost.

not a bad idea, I will think about it:) I know it´s not easy to do if you don´t know how, but it is possible. Location and timing are crucial, make sure the camera is BEHIND Raziel at all times.

I am so frustrated with this!!!!. It's a crock of poo. It doesn't work!!! It's got to be fake!! I took my ps2 controller outside and jumped off my garage for like an hour or so. I hit all the right buttons.  Did I fly? Nope!! All I did was sprain my ankle and bruised my skull. O yeah and I accidently landed on the cat. . . . accidently :P

it is indeed a most taxing thing to do,and i fear i do not kno which signs to look for as far as timing goes but i belive there is hope for i managed to make raziel float in place without decending but i fear that he didnt elevate for even thought i was holding the designated button the long anticipated boost i so desired never appeared and thus I am once again back at square one, lol soul reaver helped expand my vocabulary XD

perform a long glide from a crouch. After reaching the peak of your jump spread your wings, immediately press and hold autoface for a second and you should get the boost.

the timing to press R1 needs to be precise, if you mess up, you´ll never do it. If you hold it for too long, you will only glide quicker. Oh and always position the camera behind Raziel and find a good spot to do this (locations in the vid will do just fine).

try to do exactly same thing like in the video. (L1 is only for crouching, then let it go), you need to press and hold X to jump and spread wings, and at last you have to press and hold R1 for a brief moment to give you boost.

Is it possible this works only in the NTSC-Versions of Soul Reaver? I really think they fix this glitch in the PAL-Version. There doesn't exist a possability to fly in a PAL-Version with Gameshark-Codes, either. The reactings of the game to a flying Raziel without wind seems to be completely cut out there.

no you don´t need any cheats, this is just a bug in the game. You can assign the keys as you like on pc, but default are C for crouching, space is for jump, autoface/walk is S, but this trick is about precise timing.

you just have to keep trying:) It works, whether you play SR1 on ps1 or ps2. One of the best places for flying is in front of the Water Tower in the City.
