  • assholes

  • @MultiYaze Another amazingly intelligent comment from you - I would suggest that you use your time at school to learn, not browse Youtube randomly insulting people or you will end up being a grown up MoFo or asshole yourself.

  • @interjohntom By the way that fishes can eat a boy. Scary 8:) hAHAHAHA Great times. Thks

  • @Rodneyy95 with arms wide open- creed

  • @madakopee Thank you men !!!:D

  • its sad mekong cats are endangerred, theyre harmless vegetarians, no teeth, no whiskers, plant muncher

  • @interjohntom a mekong cat can reach up to 3m / 10ft in length and can weigh upwards to 350kg / 770 lbs

  • @fifafreak310258 They are endangered in the WILD. These are not wild fish, there are thousands of them that are bred in lakes like this all over Thailand. :)

  • @interjohntom the point is....LEAVE THEM THE FUCK ALONE!! lol

  • I wouldn't wanna get in the water with that motherfucker!

  • What's with all the negative vibes MONKFG & MUTEKIXIII? Fishing at Bungsamran is great. Maybe one day your "Special Needs Carers" will let you fish there too. In the meantime; and may I be so bold as to suggest, that more attention to ones own JEALOUS and HOMOPHOBIC tendency's be looked into before abusing such an Innocent yet Fascinating post.

  • @interjohntom

So this is an artificial pond? Wow, didn't know people would let a fish get that big in those.

  • @monkfg There are lakes like this all over Thailand, some monster fish in them, they go quite a lot bigger than these! Because of the climate they are able to successfully breed monsters, some nearly extinct in the wild, from all over the world. They look after caught fish well too. A big fish anglers dream. :)

  • this fish is critically endangered...

  • @monkfg exacte , poour kao kouane raksa pla sanitni vay , kone thy man sa shoune phane jak lokk

ny keu kouam mayrou thao thune kane khone kon pourny

  • The Mekong River is so contaminated with all kind of junk including human flesh that's why the fishes are so big. The fishes there probably been eating all kind of chemical and human remains to make them grow so big.

  • lmao i know this sounds imature and weird but at 0:05 it looks like hes having a big boner!

  • this is making me hungry

  • nice photos! thanks for the uploads, it makes all the viewers like we were there with your family. They are some beautiful fish!

  • suki suki 5 dalla!

  • what bait did u use?

  • @interjohntom nah im waiting for final fantasy 14 to be released!

  • @MutekiXIII its by creed lol

  • hahaha do you really have to pick that music.

  • 2:46 thats a beautiful cat...

  • oh wow me and my whole family are big fishers that would be so amazing to catch somethin that size, thanks for sharin the video

  • @killAxMaChinE - Bungsamran is far from cheap, even if you don't include the flight from UK to get here

As far as a "Fantasy", you may notice that the video has real people participating in a real recognized sport, passtime or hobby (depending on your point of view)

Playing computer war games when you get home from school is a cheap fantasy (and you can include the price of the software if you wish)

  • @interjohntom That is hilarious, rolf.

    another "special needs" youtube user

  • sick dude

  • very good fishin

  • haha bangkok.......GO KHMER!!!!

  • i own a mekong catfish, but way smaller than those

  • nice catch! :) hope i can catch one like this someday!

  • thats big.

  • its okay to fish by paying. one of the best way of conserving fish is by releasing back them to he water

  • where s this place??

  • Awesome!!!!! ahahahah....

  • nice catch, time for lunch!

  • bad song

  • Relevance?

  • @SwaxMedia couldn't agree more

  • @SwaxMedia FUCK YOU creed is awsome

  • did you kno go suck a dick i didnt know

  • Children are not allowed to fish here!

  • did you no that fish is becoming endangered from people on the rivers doing this seen it on the web

  • @turtlefreak11900 dont belive eveything you see on the web

  • hey it wasnt on the web is was on the discovery channel so what now

  • @turtlefreak11900 in your last comment you said seen it on the web

  • ozzman think might have been smoking some crack and weed

  • great catch. there arnt that many cats anymore

  • in thailand?

  • Good fighting fish there, i enjoyed the vid very much,,,it's just a shame that these fish are so ugly,

you can't compare them to Bass, salmon or brown trout for looks.

  • did you know that creed stands for mixing crack and weed? the whole making blind man see is due to creed (crack and weed) being some crazy ass shit. That song about taking him higher is in reference to creed (again crack and weed)

  • hey man this is really cool. nice fish

  • CATFISH because of there are not so many !!!!!

  • somebody know the name about this song?

  • Creed arms wide open

  • gratz on the big catch!

  • biggest noobie ever

  • Another "Special Needs" comment

Which one of us is the "noob" in your expert opinion...

  • what kind of bait did you use?

  • if you see a Big Fish photo at Bungsamran, Boonsong will be in the background

  • where is boong soon, there is big fish!!

  • sawadeecap john :) been to thailand twice now and still havent got round to doin any fishin but def gona give this a go next time...do you work there john or you just a tourist

  • 15 years and counting, not been back to UK for 11 years - why be cold!

  • omfg i am goin there for next vacation!

  • cool

  • wow.thats a lot of mekongs. i want to go there.great jod guys. awsome fish.

  • so when they keep hitting the water with the net is that for good luck is it just that one person.

  • They use the net to try and discourage the fish from swimming under the pier where it will become snagged. Some say it works, some say it does not make any difference.

From what I have seen, It seems to work most of the time.

  • in some places splashing attracks pirahna

  • Thailand is a lunker dream come true. Because big lunkers are lurking about in the lakes and ponds, you can just ball up bread crumbs or sticky rice and easily hook the fish of your life. It's a real rod bender. :-)

Please don't say to hook a motor bike to a rod and reel to get the same effect. Yes, I've had people tell me that when I talked about catching a big Mekong Giant catfish in Thailand. I too let it go as it's too much fish for a tourist to eat. Very good eating.

  • Great catch! nice to see you looked after that beautiful fish

  • Ohh Cool <3333333

  • that is pangasius catfish i got two of them in my fish tank they are about 40cm long.

  • The shark catfishes are a family, the Pangasiidae, of catfishes found in fresh and brackish waters across southern Asia, from Pakistan to Borneo. Among the 30-odd members of this family is the plant-eating, Mekong giant catfish Pangasianodon gigas, one of the largest known freshwater fishes - which member of this family to you have in your tank?

  • =) nice

  • dang nice catch

  • nice too see he was let free, this fish is on the critically endangered list. Nice catch tho.

  • The fish are endangered in the Mekong river (their natural habitat) to say the species is endangered would be like saying horses are critically endangered - in fact there are more Mekong Giant Catfish in Thailand than there are horses and sheep combined. You can buy 1000 Mekong Giant Catfish today with a phone call to a few of the many fish farms - if you had the money.

  • the guy at the start of the vidi looks like hes gonna fall in.

hes so close to the edge lol

  • catch & relase i like that :)) nice fish'es

    :)

  • Ive Caught Catfish Before but nothing near the size of those ones

  • Wow what a fish..nice one.

  • None of the fish in this video have been eaten - the Fishing lake is catch and release only

  • When I was young living in Laos, adults used to scare us children with giant catfish so we wouldn't go near the Mae Nam Klong. The antics were used because many times we weren't supervised and fearing we would drown, giant catfishes were used as our greatest fear. On top of that, there were also "dragons" in the river. I'm not sure but I believed I have encountered one when I was about five years old. I still have nightmares.I still believe....

  • do people eat those things, and if they do what the hell do they taste like?

  • Fish.

  • ya ok that narrows it down!

  • The Striped Catfish are also known as sushi catfish and are eaten often in Asia - very meaty full fatty fish almost steak like. The Giant Mekong Catfish is similar in texture but with more taste - smells like fish, tastes like chicken! only eaten it once, skin is like rubber and oily fatty chunks of fish - boiled for ages to make it edible.

  • jeez they are like the mother in law fish, is good fishing out there or are bites limited? , my father in law lives in thailand would love an excuse to go and see him.

Im sure he was living near phuket but maybe im wrong he does move a lot.

  • This lake has good days and bad days but it is almost unheard of to blank here.

If you want a monster sized fish use a guide - watch Extreme Fishing with Robson Green Ep 7 Season 2 on 5

  • respect for the catch and release, suprisingly in the dirtiest waters of the mekong you have your biggest fishes ...

  • puta merda

  • Indeed!

  • those are not catfish catfish has got 1 big tail and does not have wierd eye's who are lokking in the wrong direction.(side way's)

  • Giant Mekong Catfish - Pangasianodon gigas - they do not have them in the Netherlands so you are correct, they do not look like any European Catfish

As for the 1 big tail - I sure it could tell you a few!

  • how the fk do u know i am from the netherlands??

  • Ik weet dat je uit Nederland en 19 jaar oud, want het zegt dus op uw "Channel Page"

  • there both catfish

  • awesome. would have loved to have been there

  • uhm the catfhishes dont have poison stings on fins?

  • NIce Fish

  • this is coolio

  • thats beautiful fair fishing!

    GREAT!!!

  • i bet if the that Mekong's fins got you it would hurt like hell

  • you guys also caught a couple paroon sharks.

  • Yes - Pangasius sanitwongsei - they are known locally as Chao Praya Catfish or Pla Tapar

They are predators and inside their mouth have amazing plates of hundreds of tiny teeth - more details and pictures on my site and blog

    Thanks for the comment

  • were the catfish let go after they were caught i hear there endangerd now

  • They are endangered in the wild. The fish in Bungsamran are bred and raised in privately owned farms throughout Thailand and are stocked as a sport fish - only catch and release is allowed. The sport fishing for these species, (although not an ideal solution) will ensure the survival of the species as it has a financial incentive. You will find that most anglers for these big fish take the upmost care of the fish until its return to the lake.

  • man those fish are hugh john,,fish most of my life here in ireland for salmon,,but nothing on that scale,,nice

  • these*

  • wow this fishes are huge
