West coast tards, you don't understand what tuckerman's ravine is and you never will until you go there. It's not about skiing, and its not about cliff jumping, its a pilgrimage made every year by all sorts of people. It's a great event and people have fun with it, go back to you Wussy powder, like to see you try out the Ice fields of Cannon Mountain.
cake... yeah it's steep but if the snow is good steepness is going to help you don't want to land flat and you just need to know how to handle your speed. half the people here freak out over a little drop and for them it a short stop (more like tomahawk) once the put on the snow plow... ridiculous but hilarious too
People seem to forget that the out-run from a cliff can be pretty dangerous. Being able to ride it out is part of hucking cliffs and is an important skill to be learned before hitting places like tuckerman's... which has a long and choppy out-run. This video is an example of how to really hurt yourself. Epic crashes though.
Any one who thinks landing that and staying up is easy has likely never been there. Landing on about 50-degree slope of choppy, soft snow already doing about 30-40MPH is no small feat. Most of you would sh*t your pants standing atop the Headwall, much less those drops/ledges. Trust me, this is one of the most humbling places you will ever ski or ride, once you are actually on it. Riding over The Lip feels like riding over a cliff. And only way there is one step at a time...
@petebanta I skied Tuck's for the first time yesterday and completely agree with everything you said. Not hard to tell who's who, and who the boss is.

@tclaxer3 theres no snow to ruin on that shitty mountain anyway..... that was pretty pathertic that every skier ate shit... id say saying thats 10 feet is pretty generous
@cashmab haha. thats because this stuff is so steep, its on the verge of free falling once you land and try to ski it. this video really doesn't capture how steep this thing is. you should see climbing up the thing. if you stand up straight on a little ledge, your shoulder is almost touching the slope :O some scary stuff.
snowblade are for people who are to afraid to put on a pair of skis! total gaper. however snowboarding is cool i love to take off on my board after work!
Because the snow on Tucks in March is like mash potatoes. Its only at 5,000 something feet-if that. Making a huge GS turn at MACH 1 is bad juju...haha.
FN awesome. Did it once over the headwall to the right....never again.....very scary when you can't see over the lip and spectators are tumbling down just trying to get higher in a line.
Sweet I remember skiing at wildcat and being able to see little flashes on sides of tuckermans. Their goggles reflecting in sun

If snowboarders were so lagit than why are all search and rescue on skis? Skiers save people out of bounds. Boarders dont.

Did the two knuckledraggers land their jumps? Why the edits? I was hoping to see if they made it or not.
