@esackalack Lots of ways to get something like that. The poster was using the wavetraveler (comes with Fruity Loops) which allows you to load a sample and play it at different speeds as well as play in reverse or only play certain parts of that sample.

Pretty much any VST that supports some kind of re-triggering and/or time stretching can achieve pretty much the same effect. A good and free VST for it is dblue_glitch which with a few Googles you can easily download and learn how to use.

@esackalack I'd recommend learning how to use the wave traveler, though. Once you figure out how it works you have a lot more control of the sound. But if you just want to fuck up samples, dblue_glitch is probably more up your alley.

To use multui monitor support :

In general settings click "dont limit windows to screen" and then in the window you want to appear on the other monitor just click the left top corner and choose "detached".

Voila!

I find Fruity "eats" my two monitors with ease... 3 would be 'better' to get the playlist, step sequencer, instrument controls, piano roll, and effects channels all up at once -- but I admit that a good workflow doesn't require that.

I spent about 1 hour trying to get my FL on screen!

Have 2 screens, want right click pop-ups to show on primary monitor (left screen). FL to cover both screens, left to right.

Unable to resize due to FL being off screen, change Nvidia settings, now able to resize due to FL being on incorrect screen, then go back to correct screen settings, FL resizes itself off screen. GET A MAC!! never used a mac, dont like the price and look of them, BUT GET A FKIN MAC and dont use NVIDIA OR FL STUDIO!!!!!!!

sweet setup, i like the way the mixer stretches on a 19 in screen. it fits the window nice i was gonna upgrade to 21.5, but i think ill stay with the 19's

I currently have a dual mintor setup. Everything drags easily onto the other screen yet when I open fl studio, and go to general options, check off "don't limit windows to screen", it still wont let me drag the mixer for example onto my other screen?

Any suggestions!?

@Thesighsigh It's easy! Just click on the drop-down arrow in the left-hand upper corner of the window you want to move, and near the bottom of the list is an option called "Detached." Checking this will allow you to move the window across screens and above FL Studio itself. I have a dual-screen setup myself, and it really helps to dedicate one screen (left for me) to the playlist. and, yes, three or four screens would actually be an ideal setup for any software, fools.

its not really needed to have 4 monitors for fruity loops. 2 is enough. left side i got my step sequencer and mixer and right my Playlist.

but 4 monitors.. sounds waisted money, u never look to 4 screens at the same time. or u use them also for something els next to fruity loops. but if its only for fl i say its waisted money.

1) It's not Fruity Loops, it's FL Studio.

2) The guy you see in the video is one of FL's main developers, so "wasted money" is a pretty stupid thing to say.

1) uhm FL stands for Fruity loops... u should know that.waisted money is not really stupid to say. u should know that u can handle with 2 screen pritty much. but this was a reaction for the usage in the sequencer and not talked about the Developer part.

Yes, but the software is no longer called Fruity Loops, they changed that to FL Studio.

In their forum, they even have a wordfilter for everytime you type Fruity.

One for the playlist, one dedicated to tje mixer and a few db meters, and the center monitor is for all the knobtweaking, editing, step sequencer, piano rolls etc. It's good to have see what happens with the music your are producing without having to browse through loads of windows, especially when you're working on complex projects.

19" screens are dirt cheap. I run my FL on 2x24" full HD screens that I need for HD video editing. I'm planning adding a 3rd monitor.. It's addicting.

He didn't create the music, it comes with FL Studio 7, it's called "Dance with me" or somthing with laurie webb on the vocals. Unless he's 'Blake Reary' he didn't make the music.
