  • they call this the snatch because crossfit faggots do it

  • watching this makes me feels like having sex. this compound lift is Sweet! but why arent anyone doing it?!?!

  • alex google is a wonderful tool, use it before you issue dumb ass facts, moron

  • its cool but thats a good way 2 get a hernia or other serious injury, plus if that shit falls on ur neck or spine ur done 4

  • @bobbygoo9 hernia's arent from lifting heavy and Olympic lifting has one of the lowest instances of injury in the uk. bottom 3 i believe with the majority of those being soft tissue.

  • @alexJnips Actually, hernias are a tear in the abdominal muscle wall, allowing tissue to protrude to some extent. They can be caused by heavy lifting, usually in conjunction with a lack of rest, resulting in an overworking of the core muscles and an insufficient time to repair after a workout. I recently had 2 hernias repaired as a result of going from minimal lifting to 6 crossfit workouts per week.

  • @bobbygoo9

Do you know what else can cause serious injury or death? Crossing the street.

  • @TiniestViolin or getting sat on by your fat ass tranny hooker mom

  • holy shit that guy gets air in the beginning? anyone know if this is better for your vertical then the power clean or do them both? and how can i do those in a routine for vertical?? SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY!!!

  • buttwink isnt a big problem if its not that much

  • buttwink in low position...

  • gsp is a world class wrestler. cleans, deadlifts, snatches, rows, squats are all 100% a part of his strength training throughout the year. he has used these lifts throughout his pro career as an mma fighter and i would be willing to bet my life that hes used them before he turned pro as well. his strength on these lifts is probablly what gives him such an advantage overwhelming his opponents on the ground. that being said wrestling is only a part of mma but shouldnt be understated.

  • @mattyoc3 you mean his overwhelming strength of being a blanket? Georges "Whats the rush?" st.pierre

  • /watch?v=K837AwoIpFI&feature=related one of the greatest Athletes ever, Pyros Dimas

  • how well do you guys think the power gained from snatching translates to other sports. I've been reading extensively how snatching does not translate well to mma.

  • @RisingStars im no expert but i cant see how getting more explosive from snatching would be a negative to an mma fighter. just curious where you have been reading this.

  • @smats42 A lot of the information i obtained is coming from joel jamieson, he is the author of 8 weeks out and according to many, has trained top fighters like rich franklin. It is not that snatching is negative, any form of exercise is helpful. It's just that training the snatch as a mma fighter is not as useful as training other forms of exercise. It has to do with the planes of motion that the exercise is being completed on.

  • @RisingStars thanks for the reply

  • @RisingStars well....I've seen GSP and other fighters do it lol....and his record speaks for itself.

  • @js83 i don't think powersnatching is responsible for gsp's record.

  • @RisingStars yeah...all the MMA guys are doing it to waste time -___-

  • @js83 8 weeks out, nuff said

  • I dont understand how the argument of going past parallel on squat stil exists. Someone show me solid proof it's bad for you when using proper form. Simply, If you don't go all the way down, you are a faggot, and I will be making fun of you if I see you at the gym.

  • @pfcjessewright as i understand it, from a laymans perspective, the new school of thought is that going past parallel, particularly down all the way to the ground for full range of motion, is better for the knees than half squats. plus, people at the gym wont make fun of the faggot doing shitty half football squats lol

  • someone knows what's the name of the song in the beginning?

  • I'm the fucking president of space and I say squat past parallel. Anyway, power snatches are among the best excercises there is for anybody and for any reason imagineable.

  • why are people talking about squats on a snatch video...?

  • up's @ :13

  • Read some literature, squatting below 90 degrees has been shown in numerous studies to improve the musculature around the knee and reduce occurrence of knee injuries. Going past parallel is not dangerous if the technique is taught correctly.

  • Olympic lifting done right is a beautiful thing. Combination of impecible timing, energy transfer, body mechanics, balance, power, explosivenss and grace. Nice video

  • lol at title

  • Awesome video, whats the song for the intro?

  • when they snatch it looks like they hump the bar

  • @3spanishfreaks

Yeah, I used to think that too. But then I turned 12.

  • @Azorian36 i used to think your jokes were funny but then i.... oh wait they were never funny

  • @3spanishfreaks

Thanks for confirming you are a child by trying and failing at responding to me with the cheesiest comeback you could have used.

  • 0:11

  • Is that the same as a "split jerk?" or is that just a local term we use?

  • This girl's form is SO GOOD. I am so jealous.

  • i know im gonna get a ton of shit for this but i use a smith machine for squats. i dont want to but i workout at the gym thats free to everyone in my town because i cant afford a membership to another gym and it doesnt have a squat rack. i was wondering if squatting using a smith machine is worth doing or if i should do plyometrics or front squats instead.

  • @zerordieb87 depends on what the goal of your training is.

  • @zerordieb87 depends on what the goal of your training is.

  • @zerordieb87 my goal is explosive power and an increase in vertical leap. functional strength

  • @zerordieb87 try front squats. you will have to use much less weight but they are worth trying. you can spice them up by starting with a clean to get the bar into position. they will train balance better than smith machine squats. plyos are good too, it really depends what your training objective is. just my opinion i hope it helps. hey, a free gym membership is the right price!

  • ugly!

  • anyone know the name of the song at the beginning?

  • IMO a squat without going past parralell isn't a squat, it's a cheat. i love the guys who put 400 pounds on the bar and go down three inches... impressive, anyone can do that.

as for the snatch, it's an incredibly fantastic strength building exercise but i can't do them or cleans anymore, no matter how well coached or how good your form is you will eventually have shoulder issues doing these movements.

  • I approve of her snatch.

  • Yea just to weigh in on the whole squats debate, going past parallel actually is better for you, health wise and muscle building wise. And Im a CPT so I kinda know what I'm talking about.

  • @thekidwiththefro Anyone who thinks they're squatting if they're above parallel is either ignorant or delusional.

  • @KingHenryXI

    i totally agree

  • @thekidwiththefro kinda...but you're incorrect.

  • @MrChrisplaysdrums

    really, how so?

  • @thekidwiththefro i agree with you but a lot of personal trainers don't knock jack

  • @thekidwiththefro

isn't it bad for the knees?

  • @TheGoldBoltz

Well truthfully speaking, every athlete will encounter some sort of knee pain no matter what type of squats, if any for that matter, they do. Its just how our bodies are created. But by stopping in a squat before breaking parallel it puts more strain on your quads thus making them stronger. As a result of this though, there is too much of a pulling force on the front of your knee since the hamstrings are so weak in comparison. This is how you tear your cruciate ligaments

  • @thekidwiththefro

so if you go past parallel, you are less likely to tear you cruciate ligaments?

  • @TheGoldBoltz

    exactly

  • @TheGoldBoltz

I have a torn anterior cruciate ligament (and a torn meniscus). Physiotherapy made it worse. I pretty much healed my knee (as far as it is possible) by doing heavy deadlifts and past-parallel squats.

Going past parallel balances the muscles around the knees/legs, wheres half squats give you strength imbalances (also raising chance on things like tendinitis).

I hope that answers your question. :)

  • @Jereplofje

The physiotherapist actually wanted me to do silly stuff like leg extensions, even though I explained that it would not be good for my ACL. She disagreed. She, of course, was the physiotherapist and I was only the patient.

  • @thekidwiththefro your point is invalid, anybody who graduated from HS can pass the CPT exam. Just because you are a CPT doesn't mean you know shit. But other than that, you are right, research has shown going past parallel is safer for your knees.

  • @thekidwiththefro being a CPT doesnt mean shit......anybody can get those certs.....10% of cpt know what they are talking about....but i agree with you....squat below parallel or dont do them at all

  • @thekidwiththefro Being a CPT is meaningless. I took the test and passed based off of prior knowledge.. Come back when you have a degree in physiology.

  • @gpburr

I do also so don't think you're some hot shot, from Salisbury State University where I also played lacrosse. And did you really? That its impressive, too bad nobody gives a shit

  • @thekidwiththefro Too bad nobody gives a shit that you're a CPT, either, huh? And why (if you possess a degree in physiology, which you do not) would you choose to cite an inferior credential (Being a CPT)? Eat my ass and good day to you.

  • @gpburr mother of jesus,a cpt is a clowns qualifiaction if its from the issa, anybody who can read would pass it.Also, you dont learn anything about sport, exercise or biomechanics in a physiology degree.

  • @scarred10 Um.. pardon me? Look up the field of "human physiology" Biomechanics are most definitely involved.. Besides, if you understand physiology, then you can infer what sorts of exercises would be beneficial. You have such an immense knowledge of the organism itself, it allows you to make inferences beyond that which you learned directly.

  • @gpburr a physiology degree does not deal with exercise physiology nor sport biomechanics, nor anything to do with sport, its normal function of the human body, not pathophysiology nor exercise physiology ,those are different fields and different degrees. You are referring to ex physiogy ,not a physiology degree (which people normally use to progress into medical careers.).

  • @scarred10 Why are you so unintelligent? Saying physiology doesn't have anything to do with sports nor biomechanics is as stupid as saying that physics doesn't deal with numbers. "Physics deals with mass and movement and stuff.. not numbers.. duhh.. for numbers you study math, dummy head! darp!"

  • @gpburr i have a degree in physiology and a postgrad in exphys, there was nothing about exphys or sport on the undergrad degree, its not designed for that, its an avenue to a biomedical career, not sport or exercise. There was zero biomechanics on the physiology degree, that was a subject in ex phys.I take it youve no degree in either.

  • @scarred10 Why are you STILL arguing? If I have extensive knowledge of the human body in the form of physiology, I GUARANTEE you I can design and understand exercises.. It's just part of it.

  • @gpburr ex phys is an extension of physiology not taught on straight physiology courses,it has absolutely nothing to do with whether you personally can design a program.

  • @thekidwiththefro You're a captain so you kinda know what you're talking about? shut the fuck up you aren't a captain and even if you were that doesn't make you a PT expert you desk jockey. You must be pretty pathetic if you have to brag about being a captain to a buncha random assholes on the internet. Typical egotistical officers with no true leadership abilities.

  • @usnavy81887

CPT meaning certified personal trainer, and a degree in kinesiology from Salisbury State where I was a captain of my national championship lacrosse team. I have no military experience if that is what you're alluding to, but my brother, a marine, just returned home from Iraq and my best friend is leaving in a few weeks. You literally are making no point in what you're saying and are completely disregarding the entire meaning of the original post. Idiot..

  • @thekidwiththefro I go below parallel too, but what about for athletes looking for explosiveness? I've been hearing that staying a few inches above parallel is better for improving your vertical jump, and I'm trying to find the right rationale to refute this claim.

  • @ChallengeVHS It's not better, but it is important. You need good deceleration strength for vertical jumping, and explosiveness in general. Stopping above parallel and with a moderate to moderate high rate of bar speed will help build deceleration strength. Squatting below parallel with a pause at the bottom gets the body used to "driving out of the hole" and can help with acceleration. Do both styles. a few weeks of 1 and few of the other.

  • @ChallengeVHS

Still go below parallel. If you don't go parallel you're not maximizing the amount of effort you put into the lift. Its like your saying you want to get drunk, so you order a lemon drop, but only eat the lemon and not the vodka. While it does do something its both not maximizing potential and will most likely result in injury. Common sense I suppose but it is a tad tricky. But if youre looking for explosiveness do box squats, theyre so much better for that reason

  • @dudeitsdavid 1st, you're only 16, which doesn't entitle you to any opinion on anything. Have you watched ANY Olympic lifting at all? If you don't squat past parallel on a snatch or clean, it's called a Power Snatch or Power Clean. Squatting past parallel engages the hamstring, which actually takes pressure off the knee, if you make sure your knee does not extend past your toes. Read "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe or turn 30, whichever comes first, before you give your opinion again.

  • @liftercrossfitgirl okay... what i meant was if you go too far past parallel it can cause injury to your knees

so do you have a scholarship for lifting? or do you make money from lifting? yeah thought so but guess what? i have a scholarship for track. so wheres your legitimacy? just because youre 30 years old, going through a midlife crisis, and lifting all day as a hobby doesnt give you the right to say dumb shit like "youre only 16 so you dont know anything"

  • @dudeitsdavid LOL! Your response is so typical of a teenager.

  • @liftercrossfitgirl and your response is so typical of an uneducated middle aged woman that argues with teenage boys online. please, just stop talking

  • @liftercrossfitgirl oops, excuse me. i meant 40

  • squatting deep is for idiots and loser weightlifters

  • @qwertypluss

"squatting deep is for idiots and loser weightlifters"

good joke dude, maybe you should meet Tom Platz who has the best legs of any bodybuilder. He does calf to ass deep squats.

Also, maybe you should stop squatting and inch deep. That aint gonna do shit for you.

  • @MasakoXer

It was a good joke indeed. I'm wondering why you bothered to waste your time if you knew that? Fucking lol.

  • @qwertypluss

    lol, idc.

  • look how deep she squats. What stretches are making you so flexible? I think flexibility is the key here, otherwise this can very easy result in an injury.

  • she has a good technique, but she streches too much her back in the "explosive" part of the lift as they call it, and looses a bit of up ward momentum as you can see by the "rocking" montion she exhibits. Perhaps if she curled more at the shoulders and flexed more her elbows she could improve her technique.....

  • 12-14 what a BEAUTIFUL jump

  • :12

  • If the shoulders are slightly in front of the barbell, then won''t that make the barbell lose contact with your legs and push you on your toes?

  • @tempac91 You want your shoulders to be a little in front of the bar so that your scapula is over the bar, since that's where the power is transfered from your arms to the rest of the body ;)

  • wow her snatch is nice

  • creepy...

  • so i keep the bar above my shoulders?

  • Great Video. I've been doing reactive and jump squats, but would like to start on simple variations of Olympic lifting such as the Power Snatches demonstrated in this video.

Question: Is it OK to perform these exercises using a squat cage at your local gym?

  • @vex123 Good decision, i gradually progressed from machines to free weight, and now i understand that the real thing is Olympic lifting.

  • @MasakoXer hey I just read a few of the comments (don't worry I'm not here to bash anyone) and I'm looking for info.

I saw that you were saying that a number of olympic lifts are not safe and don't build muscle.

Where did you find that info? Any published studies? I would like to know more about it, especially if it isn't safe to do.

  • @mimicosfinest Yeah, it's not the safest thing in the world. But then, they are the best! Don't take more weight that you can, stay focused, ALWAYS tense your abdominal, glute, and lower back muscles, - everything will be OK. You won't see anyone doing this in gum, but this is REAL STUF!!!!

  • @valgez Hey bud, it's no more of less safe than most lifts. And I agree it's awesome.

I was actually trying to get some facts as a response from that moron MasakoXer instead of just his opinions lol.

I guess he had no proof to back up his idiotic claims.

I'm actually a trainer/coach with 3 certifications and a Kin degree and I am a supporter of and believer in olympic lifts (taught and performed properly).

  • wish i had a trainer to show me this

  • Comment removed

  • @MasakoXer This is an excellent exercise when done correctly. The problem lies in that most people have no idea how to do this lift correctly. A properly executed snatch is smooth and powerful. I have never injured myself doing this lift (or the clean and jerk), because I have a good coach, and took the time to learn the lifts. Additionally, the olympic lifts make you better at squatting. I can OHS 250 lbs, Front Squat 325, (High Bar) Back Squat 410, and Deadlift 505.

  • @urpwnd

Thats good for you that you can lift that much.

But any excercise that places too much momentum isn't good for your body and poses a risk.

This is exactly why Physical Education in the U.S has been a failure.

Too many damn people are getting injured. When you perform a work-out it shouldn't have to cause you to sprain your ankle...

Any excercise that is explosive places to much force on the users body.

  • @MasakoXer Nearly everything anyone does carries some risk. And you aren't putting momentum on your body, you are putting it on the weight. Saying exercises that use momentum are bad, is like saying that running is bad for you because you are gaining momentum as you run. Physical education in the USA sucks because, generally speaking, Americans are lazy bastards both physically and mentally. Hurting yourself while training is because of bad form or lack of knowledge on how to do the workout.

  • @urpwnd

That last sentence that you said is exactly what I'm talking about.

And when you put monentum on yourself (I may be talking only about bodybuilding here), most weightlifters want to make the excercise harder for them.

I don't think you know so much about wightlifting...and extreme wightlifter can do a chin up in 2 minutes.

    Thats hard.

Usually you would do a chin-up in just about 2 seonds.

But holding yourself in the middle for a couple of seconds hurts like hell...

  • @MasakoXer I'm curious as to why you seem to think you are the authority on this subject. Also, why do you keep bringing up bodybuilding? Even bodybuilders don't do every lift slowly. But they are only trying to maximize appearance. The olympic lifts, or any of the basic lifts, are done explosively for performance reasons. If YOU want to be "strong" and only slow, have fun with it. Most athletes would rather be fast when necessary, and strong when necessary, and both all of the time.

  • @urpwnd

When you weight lift slower, its harder.

    Thats all I'm saying...

  • @MasakoXer have you ever tried an olympic lift? man you must be a new school trainer or so influenced by new school bullshit trainers that you don't even realize it.

deadlifts, clean and jerk, power snatch have all been around for over a century. They are still used by professionals for a reason; they have been proven effective time and time again.

Try snatches for a month, twice a week, and tell me you won't notice increases in strength and size in the upper body.

  • @gfag2009

    wow...

so now we're talking about bodybuilding...

you really are stupid, this excercise is completely pointless. Going fast and explosive does NOT put muscle on your body.

Going slow and strong does, its a FACT.

    Get over it...

Those comments I made down there were just stating that going explosively with a heavy weight on your back puts too much fucking force on your body, therefore, putting you at risk.

  • @gfag2009

and what else are we talking about here?

"Impressing people" with lifting a 5,000lb weight and making everyone clap?

It would be more impressive if you took about a minute to lift that heavy weight, THATS going slow and strong.

Do you know what really builds muscle on your body?

High Intensity training, do you know what that is?

No, of course you don't. :)

It's when you actually work your muscles until you litterally can't lift the weight again.

This is also called Hard work

  • @MasakoXer how in the world can you be so damn ignorant. Whats more impressive you ask. One person deadlifting 300lbs all slow and red? Or another one with the same bodyweight cleaning it out of the floor, then pressing it overhead? hmmmmm... Bodybuilding is GAY. Weights were meant to be lifted to get strong. Looking good was secondary. NOW all you have to do is lift shit, take all your supplements, Get a needle with steroids injected in your ass and look strong, BUT not be strong. BB SUCKS.

  • @doubleg35

going SLOW and STRONGg shows everyone that you can hold on to the heavy weight for a longer ammount of time, you dumbass.

Just getting it over and done with doesn't show any effort at all.

And who the fuck are you to say that bodybuilding is horrible? Bodybuilding is a sport that requires the most self-discipline then any other sport world-wide.

You're probably just a 12 year old 60lb little kid who I could just destroy with one punch.

  • @doubleg35

Why the hell wouldn't you want to go to the beach, take your shirt off and show all, or would you rather sit on the side with your coat on and bake in the sun?

Dude, you don't know anything about bodybuilding, do you?

You dumbshits just think that we get this big with a fucking needle? That pretty pathetic. It's our genetics that give us the ability to get strong, and LOOK GOOD.

Now, twiggy, go look up someone named Casey Viator, he was not on steroids, though he may look like it

  • @MasakoXer listen you dumbshit, I have bodybuild thats why I have the right to say it IS gay. I have done it all you fucking dumbshit. The way u reply makes you look like the weakling. I train to have strength, to be a man, tough, ALL NATURAL. Getting a physique with strength. Steroids? you wouldn't get nowhere in bodybuilding without them. Bunch of walking phramacies. Bodybuilding is gay just like you. You don't know shit about weightlifting. Go back to your spa and tans homo.

  • @doubleg35 ps I usually don't take little shits like you on the net seriously but I just had to correct your stupid ignorant ass. Weakling? lol. You'd be afraid of me if you saw me. Go back to your gay ass gym and lift your stupid machines. Don't forget to take your little gym bag full of supplements. Don't forget your needles and cycle, so that your gay friend can touch your ass as he injects you. Old school BB(the real deal) Modern BB and you(GAY).

  • @doubleg35

go rape your mom and have a good time, you cunt.

Hell, your moms probably planning to kill you. Yeah, remember when I said, "I don't know why I waste my time with dipshits like you?" well, fuck that, I actually enjoy spending a couple of minutes taking the fuck out of you.

You're annoying, your an idiot, thats a fact. Get the over it.

Bodybuilding is the most disiplining sport out there. Of course, mommy probably spoiled you, do you don't know what the fuck disipline is.

  • @doubleg35

you're a fucking little idiot who has no fun is his/her life.

Go out in the world and do something, and when you come back, I don't want to hear that you have no friends, no girlfriend, no job, no dick...

no shit...since that's bassically what you're telling me now. :)

  • @MasakoXer Wow! such hatred towards mom's. Whats a matter was yours a whore. Was she banging nasty truck drivers to give you something to eat. OR, were you a piece of shit orphan or adopted. Its fun to see all the crap that comes out of that little piece of shit head of yours. But anyways, LIKE I SAID, YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT WEIGHTS. Go jack off to ronnie colemans poster and finger yourself in the process.

  • @MasakoXer hahahahahah, well, well, well,....in your profile it says your a christian and that you promote peace and harmony. lol, you don't want to be a hypocrite now huh? You christians are all the same. I wonder what jesus would think of you. Your profile is full of shit. I'm glad satan used you and humiliated you to write insults and whatnot. You can't fight the prince of darkness son. see you in hell boy. hahahahaha. What a loser.

  • @doubleg35

will you shut the fuck up already...

Christians can get angry as well...you think I don't see this shit that goes on in this world?

Did you not listen to anything I wrote on my last comment?

I'll repeat it: go rape your mom and have a good time, you cunt.

you're a fucking little idiot who has no fun is his/her life.

Go out in the world and do something, and when you come back, I don't want to hear that you have no friends, no girlfriend, no job, no dick...

    Listen next time...

  • @MasakoXer What goes on in this world? haha your no different. Look at that little anger thats pouring out of your ass. You want to make a difference in the world and you can't even write a sentence without adding insults. hahaha. You ain't changing nothing. You ain't no christian. You ain' shit. People like you ARE hypocrites. Turn your other cheek to me boy as the bible says. I have fun telling U the truth post after post unlike you who is throwing a fit like a lil bitch that you are.

  • @doubleg35

ALL you are, ALL you could EVER hope to be is a little zit on the ass of the earth.

You're nothing but a worthless peice of putrid shit. NOTHING but that.

That's the only reason why you started this retarded arguement.

I can see from just on youtube that you can't be anything in your life, so go die.

The best you could do is move out your moms house.

  • @MasakoXer whatever you say christian boy, hahahaha, bet your a lil kid who was forced to go to church by a lunatic mom and dad. Now I understand why your mentally challenged. You don't know shit about weights. A christian with a shitty mouth. You should be ashamed of yourself. Your not a christian. Your a disgrace to christianity. If your mommy and daddy saw this they would spank your little ass. Go to church, give money to your stupid pastor...and SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • @doubleg35

will you PLEASE shut the fuck up, you little cock.

I am a christian, and so fucking what I'm cursing. Here! : Shit, fuck, cock, ass shit, fuck fuck fuck.

I'm cursing and I'm a christian, what the hell are you gonna do. I'm a certain kind of christian.

    You're hilarious, man...

  • @MasakoXer hahahahahahahahaha, a cursing christian, I thouht I saw it all, money hungers, lunatics judging people, etc....and you? A lil bitch cursing christian. C'mon preach bitch. Save my soul cunt. Tell me how to get saved homo. Preach to me about love and peace.hahaha oh wait you can't cause you can't even get that anger out your own self. It ain't my fault your daddy molested you as a kid.

  • @MasakoXer before you private message again with your whines, one thing is for sure. People like you are easy to tick. Your weak minded. Thats what religion does to you. You claim you won the argument? What argument. It was fun to promote your anger. Learn to not take something so serious. How do I know you took it serious. Because the private message that you sent was a page long. Go see a phsycologist to help you.

  • @doubleg35

I only pm'ed you because I couldn't fit everything I wanted to say to make you shut the fck up.

Aparrantly, I don't think it worked.

and you dude, you're the one with the anger problems. You really make me laugh. I was on the fcking floor.

You say random shit, and I bet it makes you feel all superior. You're probably like "hahahaha!!! another comment posted which wasted 5 min of my time!"

and me, it's hilarious to take the shit out of you. You like cursing christians, here it is

  • @MasakoXer finally your starting to get it huh? THIS IS THE DAMN INTERNET. have some fun in your fucking life. PS. MAN...YOU STILL DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT WEIGHTS!!!!!!!!

  • @doubleg35

wow dude. I don't even know why I waste my time on little cunts like you.

How about you go back to that queer bar where you know that the only job you could get there or anywhere is to please 5 men by cumming a huge load down their mouth.

You're a little 11 year old dipshit who doesn't know shit about anything.

It's pretty damn fucking obvious that you're lying, you haven't tried bodybuilding, your only saying its gay because you can't even lift a 3LB dumbbell with your skinnyass

  • @MasakoXer Wow. You don't even know high intensity training is about. Its not slow and steady at all Dumbass, or about exhausting your muscles (although it does). Its about fast HIGH INTENSITY. Sprints are high intensity. Jogging is not.

  • @modsoul

I know exactly what high intensity is when it involves weights, dumbshit. Not running.

When you're lifting a weight doing H.I.T, you WANT to go slow and steady. Here, try doing a pull-up, but go up taking 1 minute and go down taking one minute. That's hard. Only a handful of people can do that. most can only do 30 sec up and down. That's also called a negative pull-up. It's a part of H.I.T.

Going slower is harder. You also want to not make the excercise easier for yourself.

  • @modsoul

I could sum up H.I.T in 9 words: Do as many repetitions as possible in good form.

Meet Arthur Jones, the founder of Nautilus machines. The machines you see at the gym where you stack up the weight and lift or pull or whatever.

I purely use H.I.T. Nothing but that. In H.I.T, you need to litterally get the last possible rep in there, possibly to the point of falling on the floor. If it's your legs, you probably will need someone to carry you.

It really lives up to its name.

  • @urpwnd

and most of these weightlifters never get hurt doing an excercise...

why? because they know how to do the excercise in good form, and not EXPLOSIVELY.

You say that everything that we do poses some kind of risk, but when you do a workout thats PURPOSLY carries a risk to your body then thats just plain stupid.

Some football couches tell their players to do Power Cleans. Thats not good, its not PRODUCTIVE for the football player.

  • @urpwnd

    The Clean and jerk

    Power clean

    Lunge with dumbbells

    Power snatch

all these bullshit excercises aren't safe for the body.

  • @MasakoXer If you seriously think that these exercises are not safe, than you, random internet person, are in disagreement with almost every strength coach in the world. Even dedicated powerlifting coaches like Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell (who doesn't like the olympic lifts), still trains his guys to do the regular lifts (squats, presses, and deadlifts) fast and explosive for sports performance. This is a guy that benches (at age 50+) more than most people can squat or deadlift.

  • @MasakoXer these comments are some of the dumbest comments I've ever heard. That's okay, though, go ahead and exercise the way you want to and I'll keep doing these movements and getting stronger so that your max lift would me MY warm-up.

  • @liftercrossfitgirl

exactly, I know what the hell I'm talking about here.

H.I.T is the best form of excercising. Seriously, who the fuck lifts weights and doesn't want to develop muscle tone from it?

  • @MasakoXer The fact that you exercise at all is great! More people should. That last comment seems out of left field as I never expressed anything regarding lifting weights and NOT wanting muscle tone.

What I really don't understand is that you claim to be Christian, but all your comments on this thread seem very hateful- I've never heard any of my Christian family/friends speak the way you do. Is that what Christ taught?

You & dudeitsdavid need to stop spreading hate. That's my last word.

  • @liftercrossfitgirl

"hateful"? where are you getting that from? we're talking about weight lifting here, now aren't we?

I'm a christian. you looked at my channel...and??? What, you expect me to be reading bible verses here to express how I feel? You don't know what goes on in my life, so you don't know what hate is around "here".

What's this guy doing in this vid. Jumping up in the air with a 200lb weight.

There are FAR better excercises out there than this. And what "hate" is in this???

  • @MasakoXer This exercise is beneficial though for elbow flexor strength though if you feel like they havn't developed in a while from doing other exercises because power snatches help develop better thoracic and cervical alignment, which provides better neural drive for the elbow flexors :) (Charles Poliquin, 2011)

Next time your elbow's are feeling weaker you can refer back to here but I agree that there are much better exercises out there.

Good luck with your workouts in the future :)

  • dislocated my shoulder while maxing out on this lift. damn i miss it.

  • @antirl

That's exactly the fucking reason why this is a horrible excercise.

If you actually think this is a good excercise, you need to get a new coach.

If you actually dislocated your fucking shoulder, you need to stop doing this damn excercise.

  • @MasakoXer Go read more. Get an education in Exercise Physiology and come back and erase your comments. It makes you sound... not so smart in the fitness industry. I'm not being mean, but most people don't know enough about this lift to comment, as so many people think they do. It's one of the best "Lifts" to help build fast muscle contractions throughout the body. It's not like the squat or bench press, where the twitch is slow and strong, but fast and explosive. Check it out, you may like it.

  • @crystalnrich

Ok dude, you don't know shit about bodybuilding.

And from what you just said, it makes you not smart at all about excercise.

Lifting weights is all about slow and deliberate movements, not fast and jerky ones.

Really man, were you actually trying to make me laugh with that comment?

An explosive excercise places too much force on the users body, it's to dangerous.

The Bench press, and squat is more safer.

Just get over it, you don't know anything about bodybuilding.

  • @MasakoXer Never said anything about bodybuilding, where the hell are you coming from? The video and I are talking sports performance. EXPLOSIVE ENERGY VS. MUSCLE SIZE THAT DOESN'T WORK. Go back to school and learn before looking like a retard in front of the rest of the sports world. Sorry, but you're an idiot and everyone can see now. Your fault.

  • this is one of my favourite videos....that girl's snatch is really really good

  • @scientificallyunstab that girls snatch is really good! haha lmao sorry i couldn't resist

  • @azt3cassas1n so...would you care to point out the faults?

  • @scientificallyunstab there are no flaws lol i was laughing because you said she had a nice snatch (slang term for vagina)! yes i know i am immature haha

  • @azt3cassas1n hahaha, ok whatever :P

  • The woman at the end had a beautiful, powerful snatch. What I would give for a tight elegant snatch like that! Bravo!
