This song brought tears to my eyes, Chely Wright is the singer. This song fits all branches of the services. I retired from the Navy in 1985 and was a proud warrior. I served in Vietnam for four years which was an unpopular war, we had no choice, we served our country and did as we were told, I would do it again
I was stopped at some road construction last week, and the flag man looked at my Marine Corps Veteran plates, and started shaking his head. I couldn't understand at first, until I realized he was staring at my plates. He proceeded to give me the stink eye as I passed. I wasn't angry, I was hurt ! I was a Marine during a time when it was very un-popular to serve. I thought this kind of crap was a thing of the past, but apparently not. FYI he worked for the Cleveland electric illuminating Co.

I have friends in every branch. Coast guard, marines, army, national gaurd, and navy. Two of my best friends are in the navy and Marines. And I'm also an army girlfriend. I I cried the first time i heard this song.
I found this video in my e-mail this afternoon. It brought a tear to this old warriors eye and gave me hope for America. God bless all of our Warriors and the Americans who pray for and support them.

No comments necessary. I saw her perform this song live in Norfolk just after it came out. It gave me goosebumps and yes I could not keep it dry. As a former Marine I could relate to the song so well. Thanks Chely.
