  • Idno why people voted against this video. Fuken trolls

  • @waterandtreefilms because he is telling all the similarities and wasting time, he should have told just the difference in a min.

  • you sound like david lynch

  • So, the screen is the differene, otherwise its basically similar?

  • So, where's the goddamned camera????????

  • show not tell D:

  • thanks for the info mate... :)

  • you're good at reading off a sheet of paper.

  • what about the wireless flash

     trigger built in to 600D

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP!@@@

  • nice review! check out my t3i short film/test

  • I could have read the spec sheets myself in a quarter of the time. How Dull!

  • You're going by the spec sheets?

The only person who should be doing a comparison review is someone who has owned and used both cameras.

You left out quite a bit.

  • boring

  • You also forgot about the HD crop for video on the 600D. The 550D is only a SD crop. However, this can be overcome to an extent with a good video editing software.

  • So lets see the cameras

  • Very informative. Thank You!

  • A californian british bulldog.

  • Ok, here goes, I have owned both of them, OVERALL, the 600D is more intelligent than the 550D, but the 550D handles ISO, focusing, Live mode focusing, Dinamic range and contrast SIGNIFICANTLY better than the 600D, the 550D VS 60D the only win that the 550 has over the 60 is the ISO, surprizingly yes, everything else is a win with the 60 (To be more picky) I hate the option on the 60D on the mode wheel where you have to push down, also the Unlock button, u have 2 UNLOCK everytime u change gear.

  • are you a wizard?

  • this dude is reading the technical data off the sheets...no use

  • t2i is the same as the t3i except for the screen

  • the 600d has built in flash sync and the 550d don't. You missed that point too. And others, like more filters... and more features, like "easy guide assistance" for beginners.

  • I did not read through all comments so Im not sure if someone else pointed this out but the LCD is not the only significant difference. The T3i has integrated wireless transmitter with multi flash control. This is a significant feature and probably more significant than the LCD screen.

  • If you want this for filming purposes then get the 600D

if you have the money hit a 60D <-- One of the best canons their is for filming and its at a reasonable price compared to the likes of the 5/7D!

  • I bought the Canon 600D after many weeks of debating between Nikon/Canon D3100/D5100/550D/600D. I can't speak for Nikon, but I know that if I got the 550D, I would be disappointed with the lack of the tilt screen. I shoot mostly video but also allot of pictures too (70/30%). If your into shooting video, get the 600D, it's well worth it. Not only that but the layout is slightly different and easier to work round. The mode dial is much nicer and just an all round nicer feel! Good luck choosing!

  • You forgot the sound recording settings on the T3i, BIG difference

  • @jackdelamare You are very true, but all someone has to do it install magic lantern and get the same audio controls

  • @jackdelamare Does the 600D sound better or is it just that it has that histogram thingy?

  • @jackdelamare what do you mean? what are the differences in audio? please reply soon.

  • hi, can you put that into english for me?

  • Thanks for the tips!

  • does the 600d film at 720p 60fps?

  • @nisse530 Yes.

  • Really lame wheres the cameras? show us the diff i know whats the same

  • WHY DO YOU HAVE TO TELL ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE SAME IN BOTH CAMERAS. I WATCHED THIS SO I WOULD KNOW THE DIRRERENCES

  • fuck that ... But I'm thinking of getting a Nikon D3100 or Canon t2i ,, Can anyone help me with my choice please?

  • @VegaKnowsViTo only photo? go for the D3100; only video? t2i; both indistinctly? depends on your budget

  • @VviktorV Photo & Video .. You Think The T2i Fits Both ..

  • 5 minutes and no show of a camera. Get out of the house you mug.

  • If the vary angle LCD is the difference maker, it would be helpful to focus on this feature.

    - why is it helpful, in general.

    - Is it important for taking types of shots or videos? (for example: if you are doing a lot of ____ this is a must")

    - are there disadvantages to a vary angle LCD? (like ... It could break or maybe it's cumbersome when it's not necessary.)

    Thanks.

  • Its absurd how Canon sells the exact same cameras and act as if the new one is an upgrade! What's even more crazy is how idiots buy the new one as soon as it comes out or buy it at all when you already have the exact same camera called T2i!!

These idiots are what makes Canon continue this scam practice of theirs! If no ones bought these identical cameras, Canon would be forced to create only true upgrade cameras with significant differences!

  • ahhaha you have your mic on the table, how pro :LLL

  • @ShotsOfEspresso this is youtube?

  • @Dawgmandede what do you mean?

  • You look like Bane, minus the mask... so Tom Hardy...

  • @nightubble you should get the 600D because it has the greatest range.

  • i got the T2i last week , and im soooo happy , soon i will get the t3i just becuz its not so pricey as the

  • I didn't think this was a good video.

  • Crappy review - the both have: blahblah blah........ zzzzzzz

Sum it up to the differences. Thats it.

  • T2i starts up in 400ms and the T3i in 1500ms and the T2i is smaller and lighter and the buttons on the back are a little bigger. Its also cheaper and the screen on the T3i is more likely to break or have a failure in my opinion. The T2i has reports of people with more than 100,000 pics taken with zero problems.

  • @SuperMangn I'm at 175K shots taken and still going strong on my T2i

  • You don't mention the wireless flash capabilities of the T3i, which the T3/T2i don't have. This utilizes the pop-up flash as a commander for your Canon flashes, allowing you to shoot IR wireless without purchasing a radio transceiver setup, or Canon's ST-E2 IR controller. This is a much better camera for anyone looking to use Canon wireless IR flash or video, as mentioned above by filmmanvick16.

  • i work at best buy they went on sale 100 each and free case uv filter n class 10 8gb sdhc card, and money off if u also purchase a lens, i clicked on this video to learn more, n all i see is a guy reading off a paper, the t3i aslo has digital zoom for the video and can set off flashes wirelessly

  • Just picked up theT3i with 18-55 kit lens, 55-250 is lens, pixma pro 9000, and some photo software - $840.

  • @rcl1221 Where did you get it?

  • @mmbrown82 actually $810 if you include the $40 adorama gift cert. it was from adorama... check dealnews for full details.

  • @rcl1221 Thanks, looks like I just missed it as I was entering my credit card info :( Guess the search goes on for a good deal.

  • @mmbrown82 don't worry about it. Black Friday/Cyber Monday is usually just the starting point for good deals. You'll find similar deals in the coming weeks.

  • stop @ 0:21 XD

  • @Pektopanti way to copy my comment ya dip-shit

  • What's the difference $300. That's why I'll take the T2i for under $600.

  • @LigerSupremacy make that t2i for under 500.00 dollars

  • i thought the video was playing but i didnt realise and i just saw the glaring face. shit scary mann

  • He reminds me of ma tution teacher....WTH!

  • PAUSE IT AT 21 SECONDS 0:19

  • @adamwest75

    LOL

  • 900$ for the t3i, hope my mom likes itt

  • @SickoZone on amazon they are going for 700 new

  • Excellent comparison video. Thanks.

  • and you are a bad teach

  • I feel i'm in the school

  • The t3i has audio adjustments

  • @WWpictures100 and this is good for people lie me whos going to use it mmore for video then pictures!

  • what happend to this bloke's neck?

  • is Canon T2i comparable to Nikon 5100. I am getting both of them at the same price, which one would you suggest would be a better purchase?

  • Thank man for the Info!

  • Positional LCD!? Sold!

  • go for 600d. becuz of the screen its a real cool thing

  • @SiKiZZY wut the fuck?

  • Best buy has BOTH for $699 right now (body only), I think i'm going to get the T3i, why not right?

  • @pathu32 The prices that I saw at my local Best Buy that came with the 18-55mm lens were both pretty similar too. I think I'm definitely going for the t3i as well.

  • t1i!!!!!!

  • The staring at the beggining was pretty creppy.

  • This guy missed these in favor over the t2i, wireless strobe capabilities and digic 4 image processor, yes same sensor but processed different. The Swivel LCD is the final one that he did mention. Those are the major differences and on a rebel chiz man.... Why buy the big boys? 21mp, and non crop sensor aka full sensor....

  • what kind of filters does the t2i have? anyone know? cause i know the t3i has some great filters

  • I want to know which one is the best for video, 550D or 600D?

  • How do you manually change F-Stop with the Canon T3i in movie mode?

  • EVERYBODY ASKING: CANON T3i has the Vario screen which is better for taking the difficult pictures and videos. You can also record audio and video simultaneously, as filmmanvick16 mentioned.

  • I need help, which one should i buy canon 600D or 60D for video quality

  • The Canon T3i also has manuel audio controls (huge if you want to plug in stereo XLR mics into the camera to record audio and video simultaneously - the T2i and 7D does not have this feature.

Also, the Canon T3i has a 10x digital video zoom - another MAJOR feature that the T2i, 60D, and 7D do not have.

  • @filmmanvick16 yeah haha thanks man

  • The 550D has a 400 millisecond switch on to shoot time.

The 600D takes 1500 milliseconds switch on to shoot time.

The 600D has up to 3x digital zoom with no loss of HD quality.

    The 600D wins for video.

The 550D wins for "off the hip" shooting

  • I just got one 600d

  • I have no clue what your talking about haha! Im trying to learn more about photography/ videography and the cameras, but at the moment it all sounds like gibberish to me

  • @Girlsk8bords t2i= Really good camera for video and photos

t3i= Really good camera for video and photos + swiveling screen

  • @GarrisonCee Would it be a good camera for just point and shoot? if not could you recomend one to me?

  • T2i shoot video in STERO the newer T3i just does MONO

  • ahhh you missed external mic option in 600D

  • which one is better for the goddamn video?

  • @FnRnMr they're the same. Both shoot up to 60 fps (slow-mo) in 720p (HD) Both shoot 24-30fps (normal speed) 1080p (HD). Spend less money and get the t2i.

  • Actually, they are not. The Canon T3i also has manuel audio controls (huge if you want to plug in stereo XLR mics into the camera to record audio and video simultaneously - the T2i and 7D do not have this feature.

Also, the Canon T3i has a 10x digital video zoom - another MAJOR feature that the T2i, 60D, and 7D do not have.

  • @filmmanvick16 about the audio controls- really? that's good to know! thank you!

  • what do you recomend for video? canon 550D , 600D or some kind of nikon?

  • also no T2i has no wireless control

  • So, basically you printed of some basic specs sheets and read them off? You missed huge differences between the two cameras, for example the ability to zoom in video mode on the T3i. Or maybe that the T3i can fire compatible flash units wirelessly. These are just a few of the major differences not listed in your "comparison" guide.

  • Comment removed

  • One big miss here. The T3i (600D) also can fire remote flashes like the 60D. The T2i (550D) definitely can NOT do that. Very important for some people. It would save you from needing an extra flash or a pricey flash controller.

  • i just got the 550d,i dont like the screen on 600d,in my opinion every thing that do moves will end bad in a moment or other

  • What mic does he use ???? pleassssse

  • @tutoriales3minutos It is a Zoom mic. It looks like an H2, but I am not sure. Search the interwebs for Zoom microphones and you will find it.

  • thanks for the information

  • He missed one more very important point about D600. The full HD movie recording zoom. You can not zoom whilst recording full HD with 550D. One more advice, buy the body only as the lens kit is not good. After a month you will buy a proper zoom so why not save your money and order a Tamron 18-55mm at least.

  • @sayedsab Sorry, but how you cannot zoom? It's matter of lens, not body. Do I miss anything? Thx.

  • very explanatory, you saved me a lot of time in going over the specs myself and just as I was about to settle for the T3i you had to mention the 60d and now I have to watch the other video :-)

  • @mukarram no because the T2i has no internal mic, unlike the T3i which does. And all around the specs for the T3i is better

  • @mukkaram07 no because the T2i does not have a internal mic and all around the specs for the T3i is better

  • so you would suggest i go with T2i unless I want the flip screen in T3i?

  • Dude missed another difference between the two is that 600D has a wireless trigger.

  • canon eos 600D <3

  • Does video for 600D and 500D have the same manual controls/settings?

  • well,

canon eos 60D had sex with the canon eos550D and their kid is the canon eos 600D :D

  • There is also digital zoom on t3i which I am not willing to spend that much more for those small differences

  • These cameras have the variability on exposure on video with the ISO ?

  • I think I'm just going to get the T2i if there is just one difference. I'll not only save money but I'll also be able to carry it better.

  • I think you've missed the 600D video capabilities compared to the 550D yea? It has a 3x to 10x digital zoom without affecting the quality of the video. If I'm not wrong, there are other differences too. However, I would like to know does the 550D and the 600D has the same auto focus speed in viewfinder?

  • r u using zoom H4 recorder?

  • I've never used a camera before, besides my flip phone. Should I get the 7d?

  • thx dude! Big help!

  • I'm ready to trash into a million chips the T2i.. dead or hot pixels pass ISO400.

I've Seen many videos with the same problem..! Some claim to have a fix with the sensor cleaner set to manual but I don't see how to set it into manual sensor cleaning..

Been using it for low budget film like shooting for bands but the hi-ISO is just horrid.. I'm used to real video cameras like my HMC150 but I hate using the Letus adapter..This is why I got one of these Dslr.. works but can't pan hard on them..

  • Well my friends and sister keep telling me to go for the T3i because "it's only $100 more." The swivel screen is cool and all, and would be pretty awesome for video recording, but I think I'm gonna use the extra $100 to get a backpack or something. Thanks for the info!

  • t2i with magic lantern on it ftw.

  • It would have been good to see both cameras side by side. Thanks for the info though. Much appreciated.

  • Comment removed

  • I think everyone is able to read the specs on canon's website...

  • Is it true that the image quality for the T2i is better than the T3i?

  • Which one of the two cameras is best for video filming?

  • also....i forgot to add, does the 550d come with a wind filter etc basically im askin if has the same settings as 600d ???

  • im still not sure which one to buy.....600d or 550d : S help!!!!

  • Hi! I'm into videography. I want to know which one is the best for video, 550D or 600D?

  • @jahkenz42 600d, definitely worth it

  • @hitthedeckstudios thanks for the reply, mate! I've already bought a 600D and it rocks! =)

  • 600d, Is the same cam, but LCD in 600d will be VERY helpful

  • @mkpicture2009 thanks for the reply! I already bought a 600D and it rocks! :D Check out my vids :D

  • @jahkenz42 I am working now with 7D and use 600d as support cam. On 7D i did last time music video.

AJ Lewis Colours of your life. - easy to find on youtube.

I recomend you to buy 50mm lens. great effect.

  • @mkpicture2009 Ohh, but I already have 18-135mm lens. Is it good enough or I still have to buy a 50mm lens? I saw some video test shots with 50mm lens and its very awesome..

  • @jahkenz42 they both shoot 1080p its the same thing

  • @jahkenz42 i would recommend 600D because of the great switch LCD screen. It helps alot. but like he said if you can afford it go for 60D it is a great camera. But if you really want a luxury think about the EOS 7D.

  • @MrLETS2play Thanks for the reply! I just bought a 600D and it really rocks! Great quality, from pictures to videos.. It shoots like that of a cinema (24fps) and what's great about it is its variangle live view and it's really awesome for shooting videos! Check out my page for some sweet vids :D

  • @jahkenz42 cool channel. I am glad you found what you need. Im looking into the 7D model. i just have to eat noodles for a month to save up some money for it hahaha. I might subscribe! Keep it up!

  • @jahkenz42 well 600D is better because of flipping screen :)

  • @ognjenosmancevic Thanks for the reply, bro! I already bought a 600D, and it really rocks!!! Check out my channel, I made videos with Canon 600D! :)

  • @ognjenosmancevic Yeah, sounds trivial almost but if you're using it for video, the swivel screen is definitely really important..

  • @JRskatr yeh. but im cool with my 550D

  • @jahkenz42 Get the Canon 60d is all for videography. I have it and i loveeeee it.

  • @EmyyJayy2772 Hi! I already bought a 600D and it rocks! :D

  • @jahkenz42 Ahh, I love the focus on the 60D but I've never used the 600D so I can't say anything about it. (:

  • @EmyyJayy2772 ohh, the only difference I think is the variangle LCD, which is a yes for making videos. Check out my channel, I made videos using Canon 600D! :D

  • @EmyyJayy2772

    i have 500d

my sister wants one for capturing videos

    you say 60d?

  • @FnRnMr thats my opinion. I like it for videos because of the vocus, but thats just me.

  • @jahkenz42 Both cameras are essentially the same camera. The t3i's screen swivels, big freaking deal. I have a t3i and its great. I got it from best buy for $50 more than what the t2i was. 50 bucks? Not that bad. The t2i is cheaper, but not much. Thats the only difference.

  • @GarrisonCee Haha yup! I already bought a 600D and it rocks!! Check out my channel for some vids =)

  • @filmmanvick16 Yup! I already bought a 600D last 2 months, and it really rocks!!! :D

  • @filmmanvick16 i remember 550D has video cropping (digital video zoom in this case) in 480p mode
