I've been playing the violin for 4 years, it is an amazing instrument. When you pick up the bow, and shoulder the violin, and start playing with an orchestra, it is one of the most amazing feelings on earth. The close ties I've formed with my fellow violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists will last throughout (and hopefully beyond) my high-school year. If you take the time and effort to really learn the violin it will truly be worth it.
