  • just made a couple pens using this technique. best tutorial ever! thank you so much!

  • This is the very best CA glue finish explaination & demonstration on YouTube to date, Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

  • I think the ghosting depends on a lot of things (the ghosting is like dull spots in the finish this could be down to the type of timber-speeds old CA glue and human error.

    Great video Grub

    Merv

  • Grubb, when you say ghosting do you mean turning white. I did one and it turned white when I used the accelerator. Could it be my speed was to high?

  • I have to say this is by far the best method i have tried thank you

  • Also, watch all of grub32's videos....he really knows what he's doing.

  • I bought a 10" commander with a rehostat from Penn State Industries.....I really like it, works well for making pens and other small things.

  • just starting out what type of lathe should i buy i realy want to get heavy into this i need your help please

  • when i did this to my pen i always had the blanks stick to the bushings then its a pain to get them off

  • What keeps the bushing from sticking to the tube after you apply the CA glue?. Does the glue not wick into the tiny space , where the bushing touches the wood and even wicks onto the mandrel ?. Nice to follow video and clear and precise naration . Thanks

  • @goingwiththegrain little wax on end of blank and bushing will stop it from grabbing or you can use Delrin bushings.

  • Great video. I need some help with the amount of glue to use. Unfortunately due to the camera angle, the actual application of glue to the towel is obscured so I can not tell how much you are using. Another angle would help. Thanks for doing this.

  • This is one, if not the best CA finish videos that I have seen. Thanks for posting
