  • yup me too,i has listen,but i don't know the title,anyone can tell me?sory 4 my english

  • Reminds me of An Endless Sporadic

Does anyone know the name of the composer(s)?

  • It's way better than DT's own version of stream of consciousness

  • god. this. is. EPIC!

  • Not DT but, congrats to the dude, who composed that masterpiece!

  • Guys finally i found it, the ministry of lost souls ive heard 3 yrs ago

    i found it on

    listen . grooveshark . com

  • guys can someone help me, theres a song ive listened to imeem before

the title was dream theater - the ministry of lost souls,

but when u listen to it, its not the real ministry, its an wonderful instrumental

i wanna listen to that song again, plss im searching it for almost 3 days

  • Cool song, but I must say I disagree with the description. Systematic Chaos was good!

To each his own, I guess.

  • @DudemanofAwesome

I agree, Systematic Chaos gets better and better every time i listen to it. But apparently i was dissapointed at first

  • Think it are keyboard effects.

  • It wouldn't have bothered me at all if this song had appeared instead of In the Presence of Enemies PT. 1 considering how disappointing it was.

  • Cool, this is pretty good. :)

Not Dream Theater, but I wouldn't say it's somebody trying to sound like them... Which was the competition's point. :D

These guys obviously listened to lots of LTE, too.

  • Can someone tell me where to get all this songs that were uploaded as the "Systematic Chaos" album?

This song is wonderful, cheers for the artist.

I hope they had a bright future.

  • that's way better than Syst. Chaos.

Maybe this type of "L Tension" song will be on their next album

  • Fucking wizard!

  • Yup. Mike Portnoy made the demos available for download about one month before Systematic Chaos came out. All the names of the songs are the same, but the music is totally diferent. All the demos are instrumental

  • this is linear sphere dumbfuck

  • animations

  • if this is not dream theater then who is it? It sounds good though i am not too conident that it is dreamtheater. I would say its not. This also makes me wonder who is it...

  • kinda sounds like pain of salvation

  • some parts of this song sounds exactly the same as one of the songs in an evening with jordan ruddess and john petrucci, might be black ice.

  • Can't be, There's no drums on that album.

  • What is the effect that is at the beginning?

  • @rubber314chicken fist in the ass effect

  • buena canción pero no la conocia

  • can anybody tells me wich is the songs and their order on the instrumental?

  • This song from Dream Theater Systematic Chaos Instrumental Demo.

Song #1- In The Presence Of Enimies Pt.1

  • really?

  • Actually the writers are Ant Law and Andy Rowland Dream Theater had a song writing contest during the making of Train of Thought to see if the fans could interpret Stream of Consciousness

  • If anyone can tell me where to get a decent quality mp3 of this, I'd be grateful :)

  • Maybe this is one of them, like Rudess solo.

  • This song is excellent... btw, what is that "DT songwriting contest"?

  • Comment removed

  • Excelente!!!5 stars

  • i bought this album and its says that "systematic chaos inst." it annoys me because the constant motion in my album is isnt the original constant motion.

  • lol xD it must have been a big delusion

  • NICE!

  • este tema es de JR, busken en sus discos..... lamentablemente no tengo aka mis discos si no te diria!

  • This piece deserved to win that contest. Although it doesn't really meet the closeness to the actual song requisite like... at all. It kinda makes me think of amaran's plight now that those guys are around.

  • its the winner of the DT songwriting contest 2004 "Andy Rowling and Ant Law" with their interpretation of -stream of consciousness v gud song!

  • It's Andy Rowland, not Andy Rowling :) But yeah somehow it got circulated in a few places as Rowling!

  • are you the composer of this? ~suspicious.

  • If it's not a DT song, the band tha performs it was STRONGLY influenced by DT. The keyboard does seem different and the guitar too. Good song indeed!

  • Similar style but different tones and timbres. I could not see DT putting out something like this. Cool though!

  • SHIT

    THIS IS A GREAT SONG!!!

  • Jordan would never use those keyboard patches. Not DT. Very good whatever it is!

  • if anybody is interested...i got the link to buy the complete cd from this dt songwriting contest...send me a mail.

    greets axel

  • who am i able to be sure that you dont send a virus (;

  • may anyone tell me where can i get these tracks from the DT contest? Thanks!!!

  • sorry for so many posts, especially the one questioning why "this" isn't working.

i guess youtube doesn't really allow solid links to be posted.

anyways, i hope i was helpful in some way, shape, or form.

  • copy and paste the words below into your browser if you want to download this song, along with all of the other songs.

coming with them is a song of mine,

if you like it, that'd be awesome if you added my project on myspace, just search Ethereal Trigger, and you'll find it.

If not, I hope enjoy the other songs.

  • rs299 .

  • why wont this work :S

  • yeah,

this is Andy Rowland and Ant Law's entry for the one Stream of Consciousness competition.

im pretty sure these guys won it.

There's plenty of torrents where you can download it from,

you may as well download the rest of the top 10 entries as well, as they were all really good.

  • I've searched and I've searched and I've searched. And all I find lead to dead ends.

I find only three torrents, two of which don't work, the other stops at under 30%.

Any I've missed? Any chance you have them? :3

  • I have all the songs yes, but, the torrent I have long lost. I think i took it from Demonoid, which is definitely a place you want to get torrents from, but you can only use it if you're invited by someone. and I would invite you, but i live in Canada, and they recently decided to block off Canadians from it, so theres nothing i can do.

keep trying the one with 30%

it'll probably get more seeders or so soon.

  • Oh, don't worry, I have a Demonoid account.

I've just searched Demonoid now and all I find is Live at Budokan and Systematic Chaos (seeing as the entries were put on the internet as the "demos")

Maybe you could put them in a .zip file and upload it for me? (MediaFire, RapidShare etc) I've used this torrent before and it never goes above ~40% (maybe everyone's given up on seeding, I don't know)

  • hm. well I would do that, but i actually have neither. I can try uploading and sending them through e-mail haha,

That seems slightly reasonable, if they fit.

if you're in for that idea, send me your e-mail through a message or so (if you dont want to put it here)

  • they won!

  • hence why i stated it as such.

  • MP3 WANT.

Also, anyone know where I can find the rest of these?

  • The name of the band that play this is Shadow Gallery =)

is a Band Dream Theater like =)

    see ya

  • Which song by Shadow Gallery is it?

  • it sounds like Andy Rowland and Ant Law's entry for the dream theater international fan club magazine "Theater of Dreams" song contest, not completly sure it's been a long time since i've heard it

  • It;s suppose to be from the Systematic Cahos demos and apparently its not just this track there are 4 more with the names of the tracks from Systematic Chaos it could be DT jamming to get ideas of the new album which sound really good I must say but natrually no mixing no production but this sounds like DT!

  • This is from a contest regarding the most musically eficient replica of "stream of consciousness".It's not DT , it's fans' band & released only through the fanclub ;)

  • DT didn't demo SC...

  • SO COOL!

I donno...tone sounds nothing like Jp's and bass is nothing like JM... but the playing is very similiar I think... except okay so I am still writing and listening...around 2:06 I think when the keys come in... it sounds like kevin... but the first part with the piano isn't very Kevin in my opinion...ah it's probablly not even DT so I donno why I am trying to find the logic for it to be...

  • I have these songs. Theyh were under Systematic Chaos DEMOS. Could very well be DT. They do have a tendency to put out bootlegs and demos.

  • this sounds like an Instrumedley...

  • That sounds like a bit of DT. Think they are big DT fans.

  • this sounds like it could be by that band opeth. i don't know, but i heard a very similar instrumental that was unknown to me until i found out it was by them. check into that, it could be them.

  • dont think its DT. the sound is too different. but amazing. both melodic and crazy. in the style of DT for sure.

  • Definitely not DT, but still sounds F*KING great! The guys whoever they were tried to make it look like DT as possible as they could, but there is great difference and it's first of all harmonical!

  • this is awesome, thanks man!

  • The guitar tone sounds like a fucking marshall mg.

  • keyboard is sucky here. rudess is twenty time better. portnoy is azing, this guy suck.s NOT DT!!!!!!!!!

  • NOT DT, but still awesomely amazing.

  • piano is average...

  • okay.. i really don't think this is DT xD

the guitar lead destortion is not petrucci, and the key lead is not jordans signature lead.. jordan also would never only like two sounds^^ he always use up to 20 for every song.. and the snare is also not MP.. and at least in the end: the big sound picture is not produced like only one of DT's great albums xD.. so this is NOT a work of DT^^ but it sounds cool anyway.........^^

  • I've been listening to rock/metal/etc.. for 25 years; and

    from my short experience with DT; one year now;

I felt that this is not DT; though it is very good project; (DT is the best)

  • This can't be Dream Theater!

  • nah, we concluded that it was a winner in dream theater song contest, but stil a cool song

  • It's a cool song for sure! I wouldn't mind if it is DT! hehe

  • it's even on there website, search the news archive...

  • the 2004 archive that is

  • Dream Theater Songwriting Contest Results

  • thanx for the info, i´ll add it to the description

  • see what happens when you download music illegally thinking your going to get a early release, lmao...definitely not DT...I can't believe you even thought for a second it was them...

  • well it rocks, dream theater rocks, the numbers add up

  • theres plenty of other bands that rock, so doesn't make much sense...not to mention it sounds nothing like them.

  • i think it sounds a little like them, maybe more like the old stuff than what actually appeared on systematic chaos, some elements at least, like the final guitar solo. But the piano isn´t very rudess. But i changed the information, so now it´s just a DT slideshow with an unknown instrumental :P

  • i think it´s a little ironic some how, before i heard this song half a year ago i weren´t a Dream theater fan, but this song and hell´s kitchen made me by all their albums XD, was very dissapointed that i didn´t find this anywhere

  • I think this is from that contest or whatever they had going, this definitely isn't Dream Theater, lmao.

  • This is NOT Dream Theater. It is an artist called "Andy Rowland and Ant Law" from the '04 DT Fan Club release entitled, "STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS-Songwriting Contest Winners". A CD that contained 7 instrumental tracks by various artists who submitted their material for the contest. This is the same material that was "leaked" on the internet and thought to be the instrumental demos for SYSTEMATIC CHAOS. Not the case. Sorry to disappoint. :-(

  • Thanks !

That's certainly no disappointment, if a band managed to make me feel the way I do listening to Dream Theater. DT are exceptional, but I sure wouldn't spit on another band that displays the same musicality and technique.

Fans, google it, it's on wikipedia.

Is there any way to get that CD ?

  • Whre is the rest ????? How long is this shit ? Solo at 8:15 : that IS John Petrucci... I can't believe they threw that incredible piece of music out the window. Before the album was released i also stumbled upon a fake The Dark Eternal Night, that was I guess some Rudess electronic experiment with some outtake session...

  • sorry i couldn´t upload more than 10 minutes, so i had to cut out the remaning two minutes

  • I'd be most grateful if you did post them ;o)

Thanks for the first 10 though, amazing piece of prog metal.

  • i´ll do so when i find a way, maybe i´ll just post them seperate, they´re worth it

  • this is NOT dream theater...

  • Yeah I have this song too plus 6 others called the same as the ones of the album! I think they're instrumental demos!!!

  • lafree, they don't do demos anymore you tard, they go straight into the stuido and write and record in one session...so it's definitely not them, lmao.

  • OK! So they don't do demos anymore, fine... but this doesn't mean it's not DT! Maybe some experimenting with their Instruments, a song with some ideas just listen at the guitar solo at the end! Besides since I have the other songs of those unknown Instrumentals, there is the song also called Constant Motion with some riffs of The Mirror and Take The Time in it! It sounds totaly DT for me though I'm ready to believe it's someone else but I need some proove first!

  • it sounds like DT because there riffs from a DT song, lmao...and theres plenty of proof you dip shit, since DT NO LONGER DOES DEMOS!!! THEY GO STRAIGHT INTO THE STUDIO AND WRITE AND RECORD!!! proof enough for me, plus, it doesn't sound like them XD!!!

  • Search "Stream of Consciousness (song)" on wikipedia, all the proof you need...

  • ohh we have a DT expert it seems!could you stop calling me dip shit and such things it actually makes your comment really ridiculous. Anyway even if they don't do demos anymore,do you honestly think they write and tada there it is!? However it's no use talking with you in peace because you immediately start offending me for my opinion!

I like it even if it's just based on DT style but by someone else

    lmao you idiot ...

  • yeah basically, they sit in the studio and write then record...so yeah, tada there it is...

  • OK....
