that one in the video cost me $2800 which is dead cheap here in australia as the prices range from $3500-$7500 upwards!!

just a toy and illegal at that. i feel sorry for dreamers and cheapskates who cant enjoy the real feel of an arcade machine! nothing like the real deal and if you did you would throw away your pc crapo and agree!

I used to love this games.....We.l i still do lol, it was in my local arcade but i think they removed it because they think itis to out-dated....daytona usa forever i wish they still had this arcade machine in

@arcade80s I have the actual Daytona USA arcade in an electronic repair store and for 100 bucks ( in your currency ) it was dusty and a bit damaged the steering wheel came seperately but in 2 days it looked like new, the game's speakers are OK and the steering wheel did the shaking left and right and we played for free because we used the same token over and over again because we had the key to open the coin box , you cant get any closer to daytona USA without the actual hardware.

Awesome.  Is there a way to adjust the volume of just the sound effects? It's hard to hear the music over the engine noise when playing.

With all due respect, there's NOTHING like racing a Sega racing game on a real arcade cabinet, especially classic games like Daytona USA. I like Sega Super GT (or Sega SCUD Race) more, but there's nothing like the Daytona USA series.

still illegal anyway! they say that the software is free and the romns are only allowable if you have the original boards. who are they kidding no one has all those boards? they have designed a platform for people to ilegally play arcade games and sell them on places like ebay!

mame does suck and should be considered illegal anyway because of the freeloaders trying to save money by not supporting the arcade industry and illegally obtaining these arcade games over the net and for free play.

I agree! there is also some errors and control difficulty in Mame and you get what it feels like in the arcade. Arcade games RULE! Mame SUCKS!

Doesnt work properly in MAME. Works pretty much faultlessly in Nebula Model 2 though, and there is no control difference between the emulator and the genuine arcade machine. I know this to be a fact, cause there is a Daytona twin machine at my place of work.

MAME is designed to maintain the older games that are getting to be very rare, and would otherwise become extinct due to old age failure. Ive been through it all with NEO-GEO MVS systems, they are just getting way too old to keep using.

Already said, but Daytona does NOT work in MAME properly. It is pretty much unplayable.

If you think your 14 yr old genuine arcade machine is any better than my setup with an emulator, i think you should take the time to come for a drive up and have a look at what its like. I dont think youre that far away, maybe 2 hrs, and i think youd be VERY suprised at just how well this game is emulated, and how identical it plays.

No disrepect intended ofcourse, that is a genuine offer.

Your damn right I stoped playing my Xbox 360 after getting my Sega Rally Championship Twin Cabinet with friends that come over my house, so much better than playing Outrun Online Arcade on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network
