I am a white Australian, I travel a lot to China and the various provences of China. I have had no problems or experienced violence. I enjoy China, the people a great, the food is excellent but you need to respect their culture. It's OK for people to pass judgment on an old and established culture when it is different to that which they are familiar. China has 1.3 billion people, I seriously doubt that many people could be disciplined with democracy.
