its very rear does avast do the scan or another program? If it's another program look for it in the control panel and uninstall the program. let me know what happens

well i do the scan with avas but i do have another anti virus onmy com should i delete it? its mcafee....and its really anoying because every time i start up my comp after a while a yello blinking sign apears on lower right of screen that asy system aleart malware threat and sometimes it says other things i have now scaned 2 times and found 14 viruses restarted comp and its still there

yes delete it u should only have one anti virus on your computer. Avast cannot work in full potential if there's another program in it's way

ok i dowloaded the software and ran it at started up and deleeted my viruses yet when i logged in i still have this little baloon in lower left corner blinking telling me i have critical virus...when i click on it it scans my comp using (microsoft 2008) tells me i have like 10 viruses and then askses for me to purches it so it will deleete them..i was not suspicous at first but then realized that proabably the virus itself! its a hacker stealing credic cards! anyway i need your help really bad

when the program moves the virus from the computer to the chest, it removes all the virus from the computer. The name of the virus is the only thing that is stored in the chest. This makes the program detects similar virus trying to attack your computer very easy. So either you move it to the chest or delete it the virus is still out of the computer

download avast then do the system scan during startup and it will scan your whole computer for any installed program that is hurting your computer

no thats fine. the virus is already off your computer the chest on stores the name of the virus just in case a similar one tries to attack again

what you have to do is to remove norton from your computer. download the norton removal software to remove norton then reinstall avast

the virus is removed from your computer once it detects it. the chest keeps all the virus names it found but not the virus. the good thing about keeping it in the chest is that when the same virus tries to attack again the program finds it very easy.you can always click on delete too either way the virus is removed.
