  • that is awesome!

the man, himself. DEATH must feel honored.

  • why bless you Indianland it was a joke

i was being ironic you see

  • Wow!

Thx for the tip! Fantastic clip, I must admit!

  • Yeah, there's nothing civil about our so-called civilization...

  • i was just thinking of you the other day, adrian

there's a population boom in giant squid off the west coast of the u.s., while the fast food restaurants here are all pushing fish sandwiches...even the ones that don't usually sell fish sandwiches...it defies belief....

  • It's hard trying to find sense in any of this lunacy...except that maybe everyone is free to choose his or her path and the people who choose to push, sell and buy fish sandwiches re-incarnate as fish sandwiches...but if it carries on, they will have to make do with jellyfish burgers and giant squid sausages...

  • makes me nuts

in this country they have these huge restaurant chains with 'all you can eat' seafood where people gorge themselves on seafood and call it 'the good life'

    it is obscene

  • yes, i understand how you feel! On one hand these people are not worth getting worked up about as they are following their own path, but on the other hand giving them a good slap in the face probably won't help either...but then again it might wake them up!

  • well when their "path" destroys our seas and the precious diversity of life, it shouldn't be ignored

  • Every single person alive on planet earth today will be dead in less than 150 years, let's hope that the generation to come will be better educated. I joined "sea shepherd" a few years ago and I spread the word about their good work to as many unsuspecting summer tourists as i can...it's not too late for people to change their path...

  • they,re ungrateful buggars though,can,t

they see the benefits of a government

backed casino and a license to sell

    alcohol ?!

  • yeah who needs clean air, clean water, healthy food, and freedom when you can have money?

  • but with money they could have conditioned air,coca-cola,re-

    constituted burgers and a day

    off at the weekend.....and they

    would be civilised!

  • i better give up the subtle irony before i

get run out of town on a rail ;)

  • yeah irony doesn't always go over in these little white boxes. sadly, though, sarcasm works very well. i just used some a minute ago. when in rome....

(not to mention it has long been proved that irony is lost on most yanks. but i love your irony, lapis. don't give it up.)

  • this is an awesome little clip (the Invitation), I didnt know it, i discovered it thanks to this upload of yours. i had to subtitle it, i couldnt refrain :-)

    watch?v=4JJbdlvQaYs

    cheers, a.

  • hooray!

thank you for all your great work

you pick the best videos for subtitling

  • yeah it's almost impossible to keep up with d'thinking's videos

  • imagine having an option on being

    "civilised" !

  • imagine....

  • good tune

  • Even worse is that we're born slaves into this, and can't leave.

  • i know that it might feel like it has been like this forever, sy, but it hasn't always been this way

it is only a system based on agreements

    systems can be changed

    agreements can be broken

  • Yes you can. You can easily leave. Yes they eventually will try to take it all. But if all of us do our part we can as a group change it.

Leaving is one of those little parts. Learn to live separate from society.

Because when the shit hits and kills the fan, people will need people who know how to live without society.

  • as they should have. They don't need our addictions.

  • yeah i'm reading a biography of tecumseh and there's this haunting scene where a shawnee chief regrets giving the white man the benefit of the doubt or showing any mercy, and wishes he had "rebuffed" every last one that came down the river

  • haha rebuffed might be a tad mild word for it huh.

  • maybe "recycled" would be more accurate ;^)

  • hehe

  • It's amazing how a mere acknowledgment connects a community. I would assume that John is well aware of our work here. And him, in a way, celebrating our videos allows us to know that we are appreciated and respected.

  • yes acknowledgment is powerful

and you are very much appreciated and respected, mr. hintz

more than is possible to express in a little white box

  • Hey Adam

As you know I only recently completely woke up. I have been in a half sleep for years.

    So excuse my ignorance.

    Who is John?

  • hey mans0nh

john zerzan is the speaker in this video

see the sidebar for a link to his site

he writes *great* books, and there a lot of his writing is available online

check out his interview with derrick jensen called 'enemy of the state' (online)

he has a weekly radio show that is also online

there are some great talks he gave on miltsovorg's youtube channel

also check out 'surplus: terrorized into being consumers' and 'adventure of a speck of dust' on youtube

  • Ok, thanks. I will look into what he does.

Its good to know someone with that kind of pull is seeing what you guys are doing on here.

I wonder if Derrick Jensen has ever been on cbc. Because in Canada that has a massive audience. He could reach a lot of people who would actually listen.

  • i can't speak for jensen or zerzan, but i would imagine that both of them would laugh at someone thinking they had 'pull'

they are just two guys doing their best to end civilization the best way they know how

you won't find them in the mainstream media, for obvious reasons

  • True.

However cbc tends to have a lot of controversial ideas and guests on their show.

And out of the people who would listen to the show, some might get the message.

    Its always worth a try.

  • it's up to cbc, not to jensen and zerzan

when cbc enters the anti-civilization conversation, let me know and i'll move to canada ;^)

in the u.s. we have npr and pbs, media outlets that are known for being open minded

neither of them have even dipped their toes into the conversation--i trust you can see why

the same applies to the cbc

  • Yep. No argument there.

  • I remember that show, I was like :O Haven't listened to the radio show in some time. I should get back on that. I always dug it.

  • in my weird little book

it's the best show on the radio

and i wish there were dozens more like it

i see it as reverse brainwashing, an antidote to the poison of mainstream media

  • I have hit and missed them for too long. I will certainly catch it Tuesday, or shortly thereafter on archive.

I absolutely agree with everything you say about it and wishing there were many more like it

  • yeah the 2/10 show was really rich

  • peace & thanx

  • That's real politic! Such a pleasure to see truth in action! No mercy for the filty ones!

  • check out his weekly radio show

    (link in sidebar)

  • yeah rebuff the motherfucking invitation

  • RSV not fuckin' P

  • did they say that they would feed you to the jaguir's? Good for them. they are probably closer to the creation then we are. LOL

  • check out the original video that this is a response to

  • that's pretty darn cool

  • hA!

  • Don't remember who flipped me D's way, but I've been enthralled by his videos ever since.

  • deathinking is the stuff

  • a zerzan reaction...very cool. :op

  • he must not have seen any itsfilthy videos yet

or else he would have devoted a whole show to them :P

  • :op

  • uber cool.

  • want you to know i was thinking about you today.

loving you, ms penni. and three cheers for deathi! if anyone's work deserves notice, it's z, d, and thee's!

i'm pretty much up to my eyeballs in crisis, personally. i think about dying a lot, perversely, with longing ,because i am so tired, and everything hurts. even reading, or watching the news just about makes me puke on a daily basis... poor planet earth, poor people! all i can say is my heart is broken but then love keeps on pouring out

  • sorry to hear you're having such a rough go, socks :o(

  • he saw deathinking's video on another site

    but he has watched youtube

    on an earlier show

he gave a shoutout to zzz33333

  • and the modest pc on that same show ;)

  • i'm not modest dammit, i'm humble

and i'm very vain about my humility :P

  • my bad ; )

  • you're the humblest.

  • i know. it makes me feel very proud of myself. :P

  • SWEET!!!

  • no chit?

    how righteous!
