  • why are not this clip avilable at mobile devices

  • how would you get in your car if this thing was cranked up to its highest setting?

  • Well I'll just bring my Force field eating DINOSAUR! Muahhaa ;D

  • duh, people told you - its safe enough, just try to not swallow it or something

  • would laso work great on the window washing jipsies...

  • how called this song?

  • @hismen5 "earache"

  • @hismen5 ok, I know: this song is Spiderbait - Black Betty

  • @hismen5 with a phone probably.

  • haha until a smart theif that knows that tesla coils are esentially harmless decides to steal your car

  • Two people are known to have died from Tesla coils. One a Boeing employee and another a baby.

If you have ever felt the output from a tiny Telsa coil with tiny purple 2 inch sparks, then you will have a lot of respect for 8 foot white hot strikes.

  • @Tesladownunder I can understand the baby. So thats one full grown person out of how many? Was this tesla coil that killed the guy built correctly (stepped up enough)? Dont get me wrong, It hurts like hell but youre playing with miniscule amounts of current.

  • Peak currents are far higher than you think. How do you explain me setting a wooden rod on fire in only a few seconds? The actual discharge itself is partly a capacitor discharge from toroid to earth (rapid) and partly driven by energy dumped from the energy in the secondary (slower). Currents of tens of amps plus peak are not unreasonable. Dont forget that 5-10kW has to go somewhere and how much is absorbed in the body depends on the impedance matching.

  • The current waveform is a complex combination of 50Hz mains frequency, 400 Hz ARSG break rate, primary resonance of around 40kHz and secondary resonance which is close to the primary plus the loading of the streamer or spark. PEAK currents are tens of amps plus. (I was referring to my big Tesla coil too). Even my tiny Tesla coil causes muscular contraction and a large one easily has the power to stop breathing and interfere with cardiac conduction.

  • @Tesladownunder Tens of amps with 10kW? Really? This is one hell of an over-sized 1000 volt tesla coil? What'd you use, 8AWG for your secondary winding? Lets get serious, This coil puts out what 250kV? Remember Watts Law? V*I=P. 10000W/ 250000V= 40mA... Whats that? Below the leithal limit? OH ya HMMM. As for the stick lighting on fire; you have to remember that you are creating an arc with voltage. Arcs start fires. sticks are flamable

  • @zachattack969 I explained that the wave form is complex. We are NOT talking about DC or RMS sine wave AC. It is a mess of spikes and waveforms. Peak voltage unloaded will be 500kV, Peak current loaded may be 10's of amps. They don't occur at the same time. At this level even the few feet of spark channel has significant inductance and Ohm's law does not apply as reactance is different to ohmic resistance.

  • @Tesladownunder who cares if it kills you, its freaking awesome!

  • THen again. If i threw my crowbar at ur car.... id still have to go get it back O.o

  • Comment removed

  • zap them thieves!

  • It works great until it sucks your battery dry

  • Cute

  • Reminds me of Outlaw from Twisted Metal

  • Neat, but will it blend?

  • i rather enjoyed this video....

you boys have a future in youtube

  • what is the name of this song?

  • @123eusoufoda Black Betty. If you read the other comments, you'll find out that this version was done by a band called Spiderbait. The song was made famous by a band called Ram Jam, but (also from the comments below) was originally written by Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter. Didn't know that myself a couple of minutes ago, but now I'm gonna try to find that version.... and Spiderbait's.

Proof that all Youtube comments aren't worthless! :P

  • Good stuff for all the microchips in the car's electrical system.

  • It made me laugh. Good job

  • ЖЕЕЕЕСТЬ xDD

  • dont work...

  • Now that's what I call assault and battery.

  • you're gonna need one bigass carbattery xD

  • Hells ya!

  • mmm fried egg

  • music`s awesome!

    and the last pic also

  • thats cool at 1:33 :D THUMS UP

  • tesla coils protecting you car with high voltage:)

  • very handy, indeed *g*

  • *nerdgasm*

  • Screw all these hater critical idiots! You did a great job setting that vid up!

Would like to have to have seen a more crispy smokin car theif though.LOL!

  • Ingenues very good, tase his ass, Don't tase me bro!!!

  • more like.. "love your car? want to kill car thieves?"

  • jajajaja que HDP!!!! Lastima que ACA en Argentina haces eso con un caco y tenes que vender el auto despues para pagarlo como NUEVO AL HDP!!!

  • hehe ima get a iron suit then jack ur car

  • @buroburo9

haha ima get a magnet and stick your iron suit to it. Then zap you when you try to get out.....

  • @Tesladownunder the whole idea is the iron suit stops all electric shocks tot the person because the electric travles through the suit

  • @buroburo9 pwnted

  • why not just pick up a rock from a lake and hit the thing on top of the caR? and there is always rubber gloves and boots :]

  • that sure would keep me away.. unless that was a lambo =D

  • i think this concept was also in either one of the "Robocop" movies, or one of the James Bond films.....or was it BOTH?

  • ingenious.

  • Wa ie blerkoe rauwdauwtjauw en de wiederwatsenfratsen

  • sorry for the off topic...COOL MUSIC!. I know that's not the original version. What's the title?

  • @song name - Spiderbait (sp?) black betty

  • @simodawg okay, thank you very much

  • Great video, definitely lol'ed when he got cooked!

  • Crackin' up, bahahahaha. Brilliance to the

    'nth power. SHEHZWAAAPPP!!!

  • in africa they have flame throwers built into the car

  • @bringerovdeath I lost a good friend to one of those god damned african cars...

  • cool

  • haha, makes sense.

  • its a nice idea to make a tesla to kill brglars but why u need protection when in the car... just use a remote -_-

and i think a months power supply would buy u a new (crappy)car easy :p

  • why dont u just beat him up? LMAO!

  • i saw that in the ripleys belive it or not

  • hey I love the song!! (but not more than your video of course;) could you tell me what´s its name? thanks:)

  • black betty, but there are different versions of the song, so just search this name on youtube^^

  • in other words you can't get something for nothing so forget about it

  • there is no such thing as free electricity, any talk of such a thing is crack pot science. enegry can neither be created or distroyed, only transferd. even if electricty could be transmitted "free" to ppl, who's going to pay the big ass power bill for the transmitter? even if you say hydro-electric, that is not creating enegry, it is only transfering it.

  • @shockd2def: Myth broken. Wireless transmission of electricity is already on a prototype development basis. There's a BBC article that covers it:

    news{dot}bbc{dot}co{dot}uk(slash)2[slash]hi(slash)8165928~dot~stm

  • no such thing as free electricity last time i checked electricity is free electrons ;)

and as for the electricity bill... we pay for the roads collectivly why not for electricity?

and we will be able to transmit energy but i think that there would have to be a sure way to send it focused or too much power would be lost...

and as for the transmitter costs dude... we got trucks driving coals around for 10x the price this idea would cost!

  • You really need to read about Nicolas Tesla. He disproved you about 100 years ago....

  • there's so-called "free energy" everywhere in the form of radio waves and such. They've even made cell phones now that charge on their own using radio waves.

  • Nikola Tesla would be proud of you guy's.

Don't forget he wanted free electricity, like running water. We know we have to pay for running water.

What would we have to pay for free running electricity.

  • haha, thats pretty funny

  • THAT would be help full IF ........

  • the last foto is beautifull

  • @RemisVelisque its made the same way that those fake ghost photos

  • thats awesome!

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • that picture at the end is awesome :D

  • lol, super-long exposure pics ftw

  • ????

  • What's the soundtrack?

  • Black betty

  • ahahahaha

  • rotflmfao

  • Wow, a car that comes with its own nuclear power generator. What else could keep up that kind of discharge over that amount of time? I hope the battery isn't too depleted to actually drive away ;)

  • @jolf1245 What could possibly maintain that amount of discharge...let me think....oh, oh, I know! How about a gasoline engine?

    :p

  • @aluisious :

Well, it depends. A few Milliamperes at 300kV ( let's say about 10 ) add up to about five times the power your average car alternator can generate at 12V.

And a diesel generator in the 3kVA range would hardly fit into the back of that small car.

But let's not take the matter too seriously, it's a funny video and that's what matters.

  • tesla coils are actually incredibly efficient, so very little drain on the battery

  • Hmmm - what is "efficient", then?

I worked with a 300 kV cascade once and we produced some good discharges for scientific experiments; It appeared to me then that you had to put in a decent amount of power to get a result. But maybe that was another technique, it's been quite a few years since those days.

A wise man once said that the laws of physics also apply to those who don't know them...

  • lol....crowbar...no REAL car theif would even think about using a f@*$ing crowbar....maybe a screwdriver and a wrench or in the old days a scaffolding bar lol.....so ive heard anyway lol ftp ftp ftp fk da police lol

  • All I need to steal this car is a non conducting stick to keep the metal rod from spinning :P

  • I guess I am missing something.

Why would anyone want to steal THIS CAR?

  • Good one.

  • does the ground needs to be wet for this to work?

  • @phoeniximperator : No, it doesn't have to but it helps a bit, it has to be salty water though, distilled water works as an insulation. Other factors are the air humidity and air pressure.

I wouldn't actually try this at home, if anything goes wrong you may suffer from loss of hearing, very nasty burns, damage to your eyes, in the worst case even death is a possibility.

  • a guy in australia i seen on tv this is made by foto adding the cage called air ion chrages so make an ion cannon ^^

  • I think locking the door and accelerating would be a more reasonable solution.

  • I can see a trap like this in Saw XVII: Jigsaw says 'eh, what the hell' and electromafies people for no reason.

  • I like the multi-frame shot at the end.

The rest was very comical :P

  • LOL

  • jajajaja unit lost jajajaja

  • hmmm wat if ur not in the car to press the button...

  • Ya that's the major concern here with this realistic product.

  • haha, that just seems really unpractical...plus, just think of how many psychos like me would interpret it as some twisted game

  • Thief....FAIL!!! LOL

  • Very nicely done. I especially liked the bit at te end where the debris was swept away, lol!

  • Hehe, the makers of "Halo" for Xbox should get a smaller version of the time-lapse photos and photoshop it above the characters head. :-D Would also make a great picture icon.

  • Unit lost

  • Unit Promoted

  • our base is under attack.

  • lol thats pretty neat, thatd be the perfect thing for dealing with road rage, some idiot cuts you off and sticks his finger out the window ZAP! he'll think twice next time

  • Haha ! Great vid!!

    Good work!!

  • Ha! That was awesome!

  • u killd the guy for makin the video >:D

  • LOL... Nice! Wish I had a car, much less a Tesla coil! LMAO... that broom scene! LOL... 5+

  • Awesome stuff, hilarious video. Tesla is the man and tesla coils are so freaking cool!!

  • jajaja, awevo

  • i guess it works pretty good unless he throws that crowbar at the car

  • Probably wouldn't matter too much anyways. The car has rubber wheels, the the only thing you'd need to worry about after that would be the force of the electricity, which wouldn't damage much anything at that voltage.

  • IT WORKS! ill buy one l:D

  • LOL

  • lol i love the smoke effects

  • I guess he never got his car stolen that often again. That technology may have been put into a weapon that police use on people. They call it a taser I think.

  • hahaha amazing but can you drive without it falling off?

  • It's a pop-up anti-theft device, easily fits in trunks! :P

  • if its 10m long lol

  • Mateeee, I want one >;D

  • In the end Nikola Tesla invented his technology against those nasty guys who stole his car in Tschechia.(he came from there)

We're going there in July, so I know what to DIY now......

  • This is very cool :D

  • If this upsets you so much, perhaps you are a car thief. Or perhaps you think I am a fag = homosexual (my wife would disagree). But probably you are just one of those losers that criticise everything because they have no skills themselves.

  • haha wooo

  • that guy is pretty owned!! XD

  • the end pic looks sick man how'd ya do it?

  • long f-stop. or exposure. night setting usually on those digital cams everyone has but doesnt know how to use.

  • i have that on my cam but i usualy use it so wtf wow that looks awzum

  • what the song ?

  • The song is 'Black Betty' - I dunno whose cover that is.

  • Spiderbait.

  • Black Betty, cover by Spiderbait (Aussie Band)

  • thats brilliant

  • how did i get out of car without getting cook-_-

  • Hahaha awesome :D

And I love the pic at the end.. mmm :D

  • can it work as helicopter?

  • And it won't even drain your battery!

  • omg hehehehehe. luv how hes smokin an then the dood sweeps away the ashes

  • supermagnetman would find a way around it

  • OMG LOL !

  • "this fabulous device also stores easily in your glove box!"

  • lol he burn

  • lol nicly done dude

  • Peter,

Good stuff there mate! The Tesla Coils aren't to be stuffed around with, are they???

    Joe

  • whats cookin'

  • Seems like Peter is the one cooking!

  • Ahhh yes but did you spot the switch?

  • stroof

  • Those crazy aussies. I bet it works for brown snakes and black spiders too...

  • is it real

  • yes

  • Good song. But I like Ram Jams version better.

  • 'The Ultimate in Car Protection' Time Life Magazinge.

  • dude thats some nice shit, XD

  • that was amazing! lol.

  • What's the song called?

  • page 4 will help you

  • Black betty

  • HA! I about died laughing. The smoke coming off the body with every swipe was just too much! Great stuff!

  • Seems to work !!

  • That'd do it : ) Nice one!

  • was that REAL?!?!?!?!
