I knew a guy who had an Avanti and he cut two holes in the rear deck for rear speakers. I still remember that desecration as the stupidest thing I ever saw in my life. Why would anyone cut holes in a classic, to-die-for car? I should have killed him.

Who cares what headlight is right and what is wrong? He's got one, we don't. Unless you got a car that can kick its butt on the track I'd venture to say I am not interested in what you got to say unless it is positive..... I am just glad he has a badassed R2 on the road. I get tired of people shucking little nitpicks at dudes with nice cars simply because they are jealous they don't have em.

Well, technically, yes but fifty six of the 1963 bodies where carried over to the 64 model year. I have one of the 56.

If it was started in '63 and finished in '64 I'd argue it was still a '63. I have a '64 and her headlights are verry square indeed.

My dad has an all original golden avanti, identical to that one. Then we're working on a late 60's avanti II we found in ohio.
