OH, is the white dog w/ the underbite and floppy ears Simon? Was he the one adopted? I hope so, he is so cute and has such a beautiful little spirit. He seems so happy even given the circumstance. :)
When a life changing event forced my girls & I to relocate to a different state, I was able to keep my babies! For that I thank my Father! It was through his love and sacrifice that I was able to keep my girls. Chealsie passed at the age of 11. Trixie, her litter mate & sister just passed 2 weeks ago. 2 months and a few days short of 15 years old!! I have been privelged to hold my girls from being pups till their last breath! Your poem is absolutely beautiful and heartfelt! Thank you for sharing
That is beautiful. It brought a tear to my eye. I've said it many times, and I'll say it again. It tears me apart inside seeing animals locked up. It's not fair. What happened to liberty and justice for all? (I know, I'm Canadian, but hey, it makes sense to me) God did not intend to have his creations behind bars. Why is it so hard for people to learn. Just because you give up an animal because you're too lazy to have them spayed or neuteured does not end the problem, it fuels it!
That poem is so true, but I couldn't listen to it again. ;-( I think the white dog with the underbite is sooooo cute! Actually, they ALL are. Thank you for all you do to help with the sad situation facing animals today.
@chihuahuabulldog That white dog is Simon, he is 12 years old, and his owner dumped him and his sister off at the shelter without our permission. She then left the state. The sister was 14 years old. . .and she died of a broken heart less then a week after coming to the shelter. Simon's story ends better though. He was adopted out to a wonderful family yesterday!
@GoneToTheSnowDogs It has to be that something terrible had to have happened for the owner to do that, or at least that is the "easiest" thing to think! It is so sad for the sister. I am so happy for Simon that I started to cry. Thank you for the good news. Ann and Daisy
@chihuahuabulldog The owner is just cruel. I know her quite well. She is heartless. Simon and Tina did not have the best lives. Most of the time they were left completely alone, chained up in the yard, or locked in a small area of the house for HOURS on end with no human interaction.
@GoneToTheSnowDogs Yet Tina still grieved herself to death! A dog's love is so wonderful. I just can't understand how people can mistreat pets. My parents had a daughter 10 years after I was born. She has no heart. She would leave a dog in a crate for hours while at work...with no water so it wouldn't "make a mess" for her to have to clean up. That was just the tip of the iceberg! I don't claim her as a relative, in case you didn't notice. So sad, how do they live with themselves?
