But you moron march and even Brazilian and American figures you put Not to mention that in the middle of the Brazilian song you put the flag of the United States of America without you and even culture!
Gottschalk arrived in the Brazilian lands at 1869. The first monster concert was in october, on Rio de Janeiro (then the Capital), with 16 klavier (played by 31 pianists) and two orchestras playing, famous pieces from R. Wagner - Fausto, Tannhäuser...
Because of the immediately success, the Brazilian emperor gave Gottschalk the total command above the local army and marine bands. There were approx.800 musicians, including a masters' orchestra and two German orchestras. The public was giant again.
Many thanks for posting this great march. But this march's name is Grande "Brésilien Marche Solennele Pour orchestre et fanfare militaire à coups de canon" (Brasilian Great Solemn March for orquestra and military band with canons, or "Grande Marcha solene Brasileira para orquestra e banda militar com canhões"). The music was composed when Gottschalk was in a trip in Brazil (my land). The music's motives was based in the main themes from the actual Brazilian National Anthem.
Well, I've read that information on the vinyl disc's case. I have the vinyl and the CD with the original recordings from the Berliner Philarmoniker: "Grande Fantasia Triumphal sobre o Hino Nacional Brasileiro"; "Grande Marcha Solenne Brasileira para Orquestra e Banda Militar com canhões"; "Grande Tarantela para Piano e Orquestra" and "The Union"; all from Louis M. Gottschalk.
But you moron march and even Brazilian and American figures you put Not to mention that in the middle of the Brazilian song you put the flag of the United States of America without you and even culture!
