@speakswahilidammit Yeah, I have lots of advice, too much for this comment :). If you join MoviePals and post this in the forum there, I'll post a larger reply or you can email me direct.
you need to put the ceo, speaker guys names in the info and tags on your video here, just looked at my email in linked in (yep i hardly ever go in there) and found ya, joining the group - I can see you will be the next FACEBOOk success story (like mark zuckenberg starting with an idea and it taking off ) - posting idea girl consulting word press - linda randall thanks 4 sending
@ideagirlconsulting Thanks for the great advice, I will add those things. I received your e-mail on linked in and will be responding soon. Lots of great things happening!
1) The 300k dollar digital Viper Camera that Michael Mann used to shoot Collateral and David Fincher used to shoot Zodiac, not to mention the millions in producers backings that these two experianced veteren directors had for these films.
2) A 5k dollar Cannon 7d that some kid has with no real budget, no worthy actors and no way to blow up to a 35mm print for theatrical release
Y'know... I really think it's pathetic that people feel that just because a film is independently made then it's a given that it has some deep, beautiful, meaning that would have otherwise been shunned and disregarded through the Hollywood system.
Most independant films are just as cheesy, poorly-acted and cliche as Hollywood releases the only difference is that they are lower quality.
I'm glad 35mm film costs are out there to keep the independant shit in it's place.
I ♥ that anyone can participate and it doesn't require endless dedication. This means anyone and everyone can help make movies they like ON THE SIDE for fun and extra income! It's not about becoming a part of the "Control" *I came from the MoviePals Mission HA!* It's about creating something new for everyone! :)
Damn as a SAG actor I recently just noticed I don't have a Jewish uncle in the business! I'm black so I guess that's why lol

Oh and for the record.
There are two different types of digital -
1) The 300k dollar digital Viper Camera that Michael Mann used to shoot Collateral and David Fincher used to shoot Zodiac, not to mention the millions in producers backings that these two experianced veteren directors had for these films.
2) A 5k dollar Cannon 7d that some kid has with no real budget, no worthy actors and no way to blow up to a 35mm print for theatrical release
I pity the young filmakers who don't realize this

It is still hard to get in. I have been at it for over 10 years and have made my own films but haven't had a break.
