I first heard this in 1981 when it was used as a background to a UK TV show called "Years of Lightning" (covering 1967). It played against a montage of newsreel footage of student riots, Vietnam etc. and part of the resignation scene from "The Prisoner". I never saw the show again but this song brings the images to mind.

The "beat" is juss real simple...i think iss the incongruity of the different instruments bein used that 'sets the scene/tone' of this track...individually they could very well sound akin to a screeching cat,yet put all together they create a whole that is better than the sum of it's parts (to ME anyway!!)!!I do think there is a definite sound that evokes (again,for me at least!!) kind of 'tension' and/or 'threat',plus a large dosage of pure KINK,LoL!!Be FAB in a bathhouse setting,LoL!!
