  • best opening scene for Zelda ever. OOT was dawn, this was ironically, dusk. The requiem has a solemn tone. Signifying the afterlife, as we know -but also as though this generation of an aging Hyrule was fast becoming legend... from the sky, an ocean approaches.

..you can tell i love TLOZ lol

  • This is the way that the legend was always meant to be told....

  • Wish skyward sword had an intro. It has nothing but the title screen.

  • its kinda confusing in their reversed...

  • That howl always gets me.

  • I loved this opening because, like the opening for Majora's Mask, one of the best Zelda games ever made, the opening isnt just some peaceful intro that promises happy times, this opening instead makes you realize that shit has gone down, bad things are already in motion and you feel that urgency to play to try and set things right. Plus, Epic Wolf Howl is Epic.

  • damn everyone is really raging about playing on the wii, whats the big deal its basically the same game

  • @CWOLF28 I know, a real Zelda fan would play the game without caring about the version, but.....I suppose there is a lot of Wii haters.

  • loz tp is comfertable for me on the gc but on wii its ok but idk y but i feel better on the gc

  • legend of zelda i love it i have played every game and they all made me say woooooooooah amazing sweeeet awsome

  • @KuroXHeart Ditto........

  • this opening left me in aw..<3

  • I remember the first time I saw thi opening and I thought WOAH this game's gonna be epic...I also thpught Link, if you're not going to talk, don't make noises!!! I'm trying to listen to the music!!!

  • The most beautiful opening i've seen

  • 0:54 - 1:05

    <3

  • the backround sounds lik im fuking all of yall uncles

  • the sound sounds lik when im fuking all of yalls mom in the dick

  • 0:58-1:13 always gives me goose bumps, for some reason. I buying another Gamecube, now.

  • @MrPsycoSilver

You can just put the GC game in a Wii, and play with the GC controller.

    Right?

  • @Usul573 Yeah. Thats before I finally decided to buy a Wii. After I realized the same thing you said. Plus then I could get Skyward Sword when it comes out. Excitement!

  • @MrPsycoSilver

Yeah, I can't think of any real reason why someone would buy a GC these days.

Wii is certainly good for some old school gaming, I would play Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on it.

I wonder what the next system will be like though.

  • @Usul573 So you herd the rumor about the Wii successor, too?

  • @MrPsycoSilver

Sounds like it'll probably be announced in a few months, and maybe come out next year.

There's certainly no reason to not get and enjoy a Wii right now though.

  • There's something eerily exciting about the part when Link disappears from view for a few seconds in the end - all you can hear is that Epona suddenly stops running, and there Link has suddenly become a wolf.

You get a feeling like "what the hell just happened outside of the camera?

    Let me see!".

  • ESTO ME HACE LLORAR

    MUCHA NOSTALGIA

    TWLIGHT PRINCESS ROCKKKKKKKKZZZZ T.T

  • It wasn't planned for the gamecube it was MADE for the gamecube.. they weren't far off completion but decided instead of releasing it for gamecube why not wait a little while and have it as a wii title first?

  • @GuysSeriously the game was created for gc and the initial intention was to enable who put this game in a wii to control the boomerang, bow, slingshot and such with the wii mote in addition to normal way, but just with the game cube disc.

    then they split it up

  • What capture card do you use? I wish I had one this good.

  • @joris1992 actually you can play the Gamecube version on the wii just not with the wii remote.

(xD i just noticed when you posted that question. but oh well)

  • This is my favorite Zelda Game!

  • the opening makes sense in the gc version

  • shaw mention his horse run like a dog?

  • @marcaose HAHAHA you're then right!

I was like "no, that guy is crazy... (then I went back the video and...) LOL he was right!"

And it runs like my rusky

  • you can tell link is voiced by a gook in this game

  • I LOVE this game.

I worship EVERY SINGLE ZELDA GAME!! Please reread: I WORSHIP EVERY ZELDA GAME!! (Well...Sadly, except for Majora's Mask. I don't really like that one.

    But every other, I LOVE! : D

  • When the made this game for the wii, they should have allowed an option to not use all wiimote and change the gameplay mechanics to be used with the gamecube controller or the wii classic controller for the Legend of Zelda experience everybody loves.

  • I don;t know what to get:

Loz tp for Gc or for wii

  • The gamecube version. It's the real one, and the controls are much easier and responsive.

  • Get both, dude.

(I swear on all my life, I'm not lying - I HAVE BOTH!! But) My parents are to dumb to know...that's why I made them get both! I got the GameCube one today! (Which was on: Saturday - May, 2010.)

I think I got the Wii one 2 Christmas' ago..!

  • well, if the GC version is the original one im getting that

even though have a Wii I just want to use my GameCube controller I hate using the wii remote

  • Well, everyone has a different opinion...

Say, what exactly do you mean when you say "the original one"..?

  • The first system it was on

  • So...you mean Twilight Princess first came on GameCube, and THEN Wii??

So then why wasn't the Wii one considered a "NEW PLAY CONTROL!"?

  • I have no idea

  • ...I understand.

  • @batursi well, it wasn't released on gc first but it was INTENDED to be on the gamecube first but they postponed it for later so they could work on the wii version and make it a launch title. and as to why they reversed it, they did it because it benefited the controller interface. since you use your right arm to swing the wiimote, it would be awkward to see Link's left arm moving. It's understandable why they did that but still.

  • Epic

  • Am I the only one thinking how HOT Link looks?! <3

Maybe it's just me and my pervy, weird brain. Who knows! ((:

  • real zelda people play this game on the gc. i personally think it's better since the game was built for the gamecube platform. They had to remove some things from the game so that they could fit in the Wii's controlling mechanisms. and they had to reverse the image as we all know.

  • You know, ...why DID they reverse the image??

  • @crocodilewerewolf the removal of some elements I can understand, but what purpose does reversing the image serve? 128-bit can display an image one way just as good as a 256-bit console.

  • @sixstanger00 They reversed the image because the Wii version is played with the Wiimote, and most people are right-handed.

Obviously mirroring the whole game was easier than just making Link right-handed in the normal game. XD

  • @Laurelindo OK thanks :) I figured it was something to with with the player interface, since the Wii remote is a whole different approach to controlling games versus the standard palm-hand button controls, which I prefer.

  • @crocodilewerewolf i sadly am one of the people who are stuck with the wii version and never grew up playing the gamecube... :P

  • @crocodilewerewolf

That's kind of an asshole comment. Some people like me only had the wii, so we couldn't play the original version. Playing it on the Wii doesn't make me or anyone else less of a Zelda fan.

So I suggest you shut up.

  • @crocodilewerewolf I agree. I refuse to play any zelda game on the wii, only the nintendo 64 and gc. skyward sword will be my only exception.

  • @crocodilewerewolf Real Zelda fans play both, just like real Zelda fans play the OoT master quest and OoT.

  • @crocodilewerewolf Well I became a HUGE Zelda fan when I started this as my first Zelda game...and I played it on the wii :3 I'm pretty sure I'm a "real" Zelda fan...all you have to do is love it :)

  • @crocodilewerewolf I consider myself a real Zelda person even though I bought this game for the wii .__. But I would probably have bought the gamecube version if I had the chance.

  • @crocodilewerewolf What? The Wii gives the full experiance..Lame..GC? Hahaha

  • Everything is reversed on the Wii version....The maps, link is right handed in teh Wii version, left in the GC version....well link has always been left handed ..well as far as i remember he was

  • Yes he was.Ima get the Gc version becuase it has better crontels(cant spell it right im tired).

  • just startin the gamecube 1 and completed the wii 1. i gotta say i am not enjoying the point i am up to as much as i was with the wii version

  • He was right handed in a few games.

  • Woah Nintendo! NOT cool. You can't make link right handed... No....! :'(

  • i remember when i saw this

when i first started the game

    i was like this 0_0

i cried i love this game

  • hmmmm....

    Which should i get...

Sims 2 4 gamecube or Twilight Princess for gamecube?

    Help me!!!

    -Geek

  • Why on EARTH did they reverse them? GOD. Though, it was originally built on the gamecube platform ;P

  • they had to reverse it because when they imported it from the GC link was left handed. but they realized that even left handed people preferd to hold the wiimote in there right hand, thus the easy solution was just to reverse the map.

  • I like more the wii verson

  • People should remember that the greatest warriors in the world are left handed.

    Sephiroth is left-handed.

And the Japanese read from right to left. So it's backwards. Think of this as the "american righty version" XD

And add to the fact that they all shake hands with their left hands and the sun sets in the east and rises in the west.... on the Wii version.

  • its all backwards lol. its tripping me out. is the whole game backwards from the wii version?

  • this game is great i still like Ocarina of time though on my list Ocarina of Time is still number 1 then this twilight princess is a really good game

  • oh so the Wii version is all backwards from the gamecube version. i got it for gamecube but i want to play the wii version so i'll rent it.

  • can you play the Gamecube version on the Wii with the wiimote??

  • no thats why they made two versions nintendo needs money lol.

  • Yeah.

You know, I have BOTH the Wii, AND GameCube versions..?!!

(I think we all should know by now, that I appreciate Nintendo.)

  • @darklink2000 hahahahaha more money xD

  • I like it better this way. Call me weird, but it makes me feel a little uncomfortable to see Link as a righty in the Wii version. He doesn't mimic the precise moves that the player makes with the Wii-Mote, so there was really no reason to make him right-handed. He's always been left-handed, and I think he should stay like that.

  • I agree. I do a vertical slash with the Wii-mote and he just does the basic horizontal slash

  • I agree. Link should be left-handed forever. ;D

  • @linkzoot i wonder, if link ever found a gun, would he use it left handed?

  • @linkzoot i think Link should be left-handed for life, but the wii maked link right-handed because of the stupid motion controls, i actually never liked motion controls

link was left-handed and he will be left-handed for life, you can't change it but wii can

like in real life if you're right/left handed then you will be like this for life, nobody can change it

  • uff

  • I luv the metal boots when u get magnatized ^-^

  • i think the reason hes right handed in wii is cuz of the motion sensing most players would be right handed so right handed player = right handed link

  • link should of been Right handed from the start

  • The Wii version is just flipped around. Link is left handed in the gamecube version and is right handed in the Wii thats the difference. Also the voice of Link is different to I noticed that.

  • so did I

    odd...

  • this is not the same opening as the wii version i like the wii version this one is weird

  • just cuz wiis new doesn't mean gamecube is the wierd version i think the wii version is wierd cuz the gamecube 1 came out first lol

  • This is the same as the Wii version, just backwards

  • It looks weird since I played the Wii version of it. <_<

  • This game was so amazing. I want to rent or buy the gamecube version as well, just to replay it again. Did i mention how amazing this game was?

  • r u 4 real y would they make link left handed seems lik the stupidest thin they couldve done

  • Link's always been left handed

  • Link's always been left handed

  • This is the same opening for the Wii version aswell isnt it!

  • Im going to buy LoZ today :D

I just wont to get the money now and buy it :D

  • GCN? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

  • Game cube lol

  • whens it out presioce?! eh? when??for gamecube i mean!

some one please tell me! please! in need info! throw me a bone here!! please tell me!!

  • lol wow basically the only difference here is that we are looking at it a different way... Link is right handed in wii... Link is left handed in game cube

  • I can't wait till Wednesday. This game is so awesome!

  • lol its weird looking at it at a mirrored view, cuz the wii version link is right handed >_>

  • i am getting this on wednesday for GCN and can not wait!

  • Awesome. :D

  • Cant Wait:)
