I like part 8 a lot. Just forget about all the previous F13 flims, and of course the misleading title, and you might enjoy it. It's not scary but it is entertaining.

This film was the reason why Paramount trashed the Friday the 13th series and sold it to New Line. What a TURD of a movie!

Paramount screwed Rob Hedden on part 8 his original idea was goin to all the major places in new york. that would of been really cool. I still like it for some reason I'm not sure why

I put part 8 on the bottom also.Jason x is basicly jason in space how good can it be, so at least with that one you don't have high expectations.Part 9 if you get past the fact that jason proper is only in it 2x its watchable. This is just horrid.

it had it a big bodycount tho he killed 17 people in it and it had some good kills i think it was not for movies like part 6 and 8 jason would not have as big bodycount as he does

Good review. I think this movie is more fun if you watch it and turn off your brain lol. Watching it with the commentary made it more interesting though and the ideas that could have been sounded cool.

Jason looked pretty cool until his masked came off though.

Yeah, I feel like I came down hard on this one. I tried to add at the end that I can still watch this one. I can pretty much watch any of them, really. Turning the brain off is always essential, haha.

You forgot to mention Jason new magic trick of teleportation. Like when the teacher guy is running from Jason who is behind him. He runs into a building only to be thrown out of the second floor window by Jason who is somehow already in there waiting for him.

the only part i really enjoyed was jason kicked the kids music and staff that and when jason was on the roof and hit the kid and his head came out

When I was a kid I always heard about the uppercut in this flick, so I always wanted to see it. It's definitely a highlight.

Your thoughts are point-on accurate, RyHo. To me, the only good things about this film were the opening set and the Metropolis song, 'The Darkest Side of the Night.' Besides that, it was just plain bad. Maybe it would've been better if they didn't spend a whole hour on that dang boat! Kelly Hu getting killed on the dance floor while messed up on coke and Julius' death were memorable, though, ha ha. I think it's almost as bad as 'Jason X,' but could actually be worse. Oh, btw, a big goof I remember from this film was the fact that Jason is actually seen breathing on numerous occasions. Does that even make sense? This is 'Zombie Jason' we're talking about!

Another note to make here is that Ken Kirzinger, who did stunt work on this film and played Jason in 'Freddy Vs. Jason,' actually makes a brief appearance as the diner chef. Just some trivia for fans of the series.

Yeah, they are certainly on the same playing field, and both are films that involve Jason a ship killing students, oddly enough.

Wow, I never even thought about that, RyHo. The two worst films in the series both took place on a ship: a cruise ship and a spaceship. Ha ha, that's quite funny. Thanks for pointing that out, pal.

Great review, matches exactly what I thought about the movie. Without a doubt, the worst film in the series. I remember seeing this when I was like 12 years old and laughing at Play-doh head Jason. Whatever money they spent on in this film, it surely wasn't on makeup or special effects.

I've toyed with the idea, but we'll see. I was thinking about just watching some of my faves on DVD and then waiting until that comes out on DVD to see it again. Haven't made up my mind yet!
