if you have little weight does that mean you have to lean less? here in norway i can ride my road legal quad on the road when i get my drivers license :D
....whether it's got a differential or not . The point is just getting out there and enjoying what you ride as long as you can do it safely .
Didn't scoffers say the same sort of thing when those damn dangerous automobile thingys came onto the scene a while back and scared all the horses.. ?? ; )
@zaco21 You really are full of it aren't you mate and you don't really know what your talking about . I have done over 18,000 road miles on my fixed axle quads , never had an accident yet and that's because I know how to ride it properly. It's not a bike , it's not a car , it's a quad and there no comparison and bikers shouldn't feel the need to mock . It's a skill to be learned and enjoyed - whether
When I ride my quad on the road , to be honest , I'm having sooo much fun , I really couldn't give a damn what Fifth Queer, Top Gear, the blinkered bikers out there or anyone else thinks ; ) . Each to their own . Ride on...
It really is true! An ATV is more dangerous then you think! The fact that you consider it safe makes it even more dangerous! The ATV really is more dangerous if you fall then a bike because it rolls over you and there is nothing you can do about it! In fact there are people that advise that using an ATV on road is dangerous because it doesn't have a differential! The guy is actually right even if you don't like it! A bike is a lot more fun and can be used on a road! The ATV is only for off road!
This guy is fucking retard!! How can he say that ATV's suck if he doesn't know how to drive with them... Fifth gear sucks ass anyway! Top gear is much better.
Not really! He is right, a bike is better and if the quad doesn't have a differential then things are not too good! ATVs are for off road he said it and was right!
thats fucking stupid.. here in canada its not legal to ride on a road. but i have with my ATV. and its quite simple. but to put someone on an ATV and expect him to know it off heart how to drive. ur fucking nutz.
If the ATV you've driven had a differential then it could be used on the road, but if it didn't watch when you turn, and if you ride it again use it off road because it'll be more fun!
Totally biased!.Shows how little understanding he has of how it should be ridden.5th gear - understand the machine and it's riders properly! The media continue to have a go at quad bikes-a new and increasingly popular form of alternative road transport.
On ATV safety you can find a tip that says that this vehicles are only for off road use! That is the main problem, people using them on public roads even though they don't have a differential!
Wouldnt be my choice of vehicle to do a piece on 'Road Legal Quad bikes' How about starting with something with road tyres at the very least? This guy has never ridden a quad before and he gets on a big fat 800cc polaris. Clever. And anyone who has ridden a quad for more than 5 minutes knows that all that leaning he is doing is pure theatre. The bloke should have 6 points for riding like that the twat.
yup he sure is. its trying to give quads a bad name and its just totaly unjust and unfair - NeoFuture ;) (long live QH, and the decent people who KNOW what the hell there talking about unlike this fool)
He is right about the fact that a bike is more fun on a road! If the Quad has no differential then driving it on road will be dangerous! He was wrong about the weight shifting, but on the training course maybe nobody told him he was overdoing it!
totally right about that one their good

I forgot that you were a world champion rider when you first hopped on a quad....
also, just be happy that there was actually SOME form of media attention for the sport.
