  • @bigglyguy Haha indeed they did.

  • I love evolution!

  • Boy, the comments really went downhill with this one...

  • Im going to burn this series to a dvd and give them out at the fair next year . Right next to the creation booth . Only to certain people of course .

  • Nice vid

Whats the name of flower at 9:44?

Is it Passion fruit or Maracuja?

  • Nice work! I very much enjoyed the vid

  • Have people been flagging with false DMCAs? Why are they doing that? This series is very good and educational. I wish that it recommended some books to follow up the information.

  • Like the new intro

  • Amazing that there are so many comments about "the intro" of the videos. Thank you to DiscoveringReligion for the time and effort given for the series.

I would love to have a bibliography or place to check facts at the end.

  • WHO's Uh Talented Nigga Off In This Bitch? Thumbs Up If You Uh Talented MotherFucker In Here!

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee

    What are you talking about?

  • @DiscoveringReligion Nigga I'm Talkin' 'Bout Talented Niggas. If You Ain't Uh Talented Nigga You Ain't Got No Right Postin' In This Bitch. And I'm Also Talkin' 'Bout Cutino Comin' In Here Actin' Like He Uh Author, Scholar, And Mogul When He Know Damn Well That He Ain't Never Read, Wrote Or Written Uh Check Foe Uh Book In His MotherFuckin' Life.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee you make humans look bad

  • @sexygamer2121 You Make White People Look Bad. Because You're Poor, White Trash.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee notice i didnt say,you make black people look bad?i said you make humans look bad because we are all equal...your either human or not

  • @sexygamer2121 I Said You're White Trash Because You're White Trash.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee does it matter if im white?does it matter if your black?no do the human race a favor and kill yourself because we humans must show the universe were the best, your a disgrace to the human race, even when its 2012,theres still people like you

  • @sexygamer2121 I'm White And Black. And In The Year 3000 There Will Be People Like ME (Hopefully They'll Be My Descendants)..

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee so your mom/dad white and mom/dad are black?so your not even black yourself your brown you idiot,,white and black are only a color, when people tell me what i am i tell them im human and nothing else

  • @sexygamer2121 What IF I Told You I Was Native American And White. Would You Have Said I Was PINK? Anyhow, It's Unfortunate That You Don't Know What You Are. It's Unfortunate That You're Unaware Of Being Poor, White Trash.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee are you human?how about you treat all humans with respect like i do

  • @sexygamer2121 How About You Just Shut Your White Trash Mouth Up And Then Open It In 30 Minutes And Then Succ The Honkey Cock For 15 Minute.

  • I Get So DEEP OFF In That Yoc You Wanna Joog (Or Jook) ME? Which Is It Maccin' Ass Mall?

  • Love the new intro-music by the way :)) I'm still translating all your videos to Turkish, I would like to thank you behalf of all the Turkish viewers for these wonderfully simplified scientific videos.

  • Maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought evolution didn't procede in a linear fashion, but in a branching fashion. Shouldn't that mean that a fish's heart should be different than a mammal's, but not necessarily less complex?

  • I like the new intro, but I kind of miss the Tears for Fears song.

  • Why only quote from the bible? why not also quote from the other scriptures?

  • @MyArenaZ I'm also looking for the name of the song, he didn't credit it at the info section.. Have you found out the song's name?

  • @vaguefigure

Hey guys, just look in the video description. All citation is listed there!

  • @DiscoveringReligion Thanks for responding! I did look at the description, it only includes the names of the 2 songs from the hours soundtrack, but not the intro with an electric guitar at 0:50. Sorry for bugging you too much about it! :)

  • @vaguefigure

Oops, I guess I didn't list the intro music. Its called "Eyen" by Plaid.

    watch?v=VU5eR6OJNUc

  • What's name of the song @ 00:48? Thanks!

  • I have really enjoyed your video's. Oh a world without religion. If only ... just like John Lennon in imagine and that is all we can do ... Imagine.... It will take usch a long time before people "lose their religion" To see the desperate attemps of christians and creationists panicking to defend what they plainly just deny to accept is just exasperating.

  • @currie1967 Lol so I'm not the only one who likes that song especially for that line, and are left to just imagine a world where people learned to think critically.

  • I'm really loving this series, thank you.

  • Enjoyed the new intro. It's a little more new age.

  • aw the old song was better for the opening

  • I like the old intro better. In fact I miss it.

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!! Excellent work, you should be paid for this man!!!

  • while no two koala fingerprints are alike, all koalas LOOK alike (which is very handy when daddy K is caught in flagrante delicto with the koala-sitter

  • All animals except humans have no soul. What does punishment really have to do with this?? Some humans are born with defected hearts, what's your explanation on that?

  • So....

You're saying X-Men COULD potentially happen?

  • NATURAL LIMITS TO EVOLUTION: Evolution within "kinds" is genetically possible in nature (i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.), but not evolution across "kinds" (i.e. from worm to human). Besides, species couldn't have survived with vital tissues, organs, biological systems still evolving? I discuss Punctuated Equilibrium, "Junk DNA." Read Pravda Internet article: WAR AMONG EVOLUTIONISTS! I discuss: genetics, mutations, natural selection, fossils, genetic/biological similarities between species.

  • @Mogley52

Then what are the following: Acanthostega, Ambulocetus, Dorudon, Basilosaurus, Achaeopteryx, S.tchadensis, A. afarensis, A. africanus, A. anamensis, P. aethiopicus, P. boisei, P. robustus, H. habilis, H. rudolfensis, H. ergaster, H. georgicus, H. erectus, H. cepraensis, H. antecessor, H. heidelbergensis, H. rhodesiensis, H. floresiensis, and H.Neanderthalensis. Regardless, where is the natural, physical evidence of God? Oh that's right, God can't be tested, observed or measured. LOL

  • @Mogley52 ".... but not evolution across "kinds"" this is simply untrue, even by your own claims. if you add up the small changes you say ARE possible, eventually you get large changes (so long as there is no interbreeding). this is inescapable. offspring always resemble their parents, changes are passed along due to heredity. because changes ARE small, other parts of the body can function. if they couldn't, that organism doesn't survive. ONLY the successful adaptations continue on

  • @Mogley52 You are forgetting the fact that "kinds" don't actually exist. The term is simply used to group animals that are appear similar, however, biologically, there is nothing that seperates organisms into the black and white concept of "kinds". Instead there is a gray area. Also, in order for your statement to be true, organisms would require 2 types of DNA, one that can mutate (to account for variations in kinds) and one that cannot (so that kinds stay as kinds), however, this is not seen

  • @Mogley52 I ThInk You're Lying. I Don't Think Your Writing's Been Published In Any Credible Book Or Magazine. As A Matter Of Fact, I Don't Even Think You Write.

  • @Mogley52 You Ain't Talented Nigga.

  • @Mogley Tryna Pull A 52 Fake On Us. Shame On You Nigga!

  • There's no evidence that humans evolved from some ape-like ancestor anymore than there's evidence that apes, along with lemurs and monkeys, evolved from some dog-like ancestor. All the bones used to support human evolution have been found to be either hoaxes, non-human, or human, but not both non-human and human. They can reconstruct these bones to look like whatever they want! Some of the bones were found miles apart. Read my Internet article: MISSING LINKS THAT NEVER WERE.

  • @Mogley52 there are numerous ancestral stages between our shared ape ancestor and modern day humans, creationists always look at one end and say "they're all human" and the other end and say "they're all monkeys" but around the middle creationists get confused and can't work out if they should put them with monkey or human

  • what about insects? Bee's have 5 chambers...

  • I liked the old one better

  • we need more 1000s of year to study , as per quran and bible cause its a books from god , and so many belive that we came from ape of chmipanzee , its good when you dont belive in GOD , my question 1. why Ape still there in zoo ??? 2. why they didnt disapread from changing shapes and brain??? you using old version of book which is currupted , use quran last book and protected still to do research

  • @sweatpassion What a non-sense question... Evolution is not ""trying" to make human-like creatures witch are intelligent and so forth... The idea of Evolution( i mean the fact of Evolution) is that any animal is changing for survival in his environment... So if some of the humans and chimpanzees common ancestor has manage to adapt in 2 different species (like savannah and tropical forest) will rezult into 2 different species. so thats why are more species from a common ancestor.

  • @sweatpassion

Americans came from Britains, Why Britains are still in UK?

  • @KratosTheRealGOD

Another good one is if the Christianity came from Judaism, why are there still Jews? :)

  • @DiscoveringReligion And if laptops came from desktops, why am I typing this on one?

  • I like the new opening!

  • The intro to this video is MUCH better... the other one didn't fit with the seriousness of your message. But other than that your work is GREAT! Really.. some of the best videos I've seen on this subject. I have a hard time finding videos that explain so much with such clarity and aren't so harsh on the non-believer that they don't want to listen. Thank you so much.

  • @DiscoveringReligion There is a slight error in the presentation. In the place where you show reptiles and say that they have incompletely partitioned four chambered hearts, you also show the image of a crocodile more than once. The crocodile is, however, a more evolved reptile and it is one of the only reptiles which has a completely partitioned four chambered heart.

  • i love the 7:35 FAIL

    these videos are awesome thanks.

  • Congratulations to the "DiscoveringReligion" YouTube channel. Today is your lucky day... you have been randomly drawn from amongst millions of possible winners, to receive the Grand Prize of a punitive visitation from the YouToobian Ape Hunter... known as "Chuichupachichi"... the Chumpy Chimp's Cheeky Channel Chasm Choker

  • Intelligent Design predicts that living organisms will not be biologically comprised, 100% of retained, accumulated, reproductive "defects", known as mutations

However, Atheist Evolutionists do represent an extremely compelling argument which strongly suggests the validity of their biological composition consisting entirely & exclusively of innumerably accumulated, genetic defects

Lets hear it for "Stupid Selection"... which ingeniously selects stupid subscribers

  • application of evolution to medical research example: We use DNA sequence homologies from different animals to find nucleotides that are important for a proteins function. if a nucleotide in a protein coding sequence is conserved over evolution, it is likely essential for a proteins function. If that protein is implicated in a disease we can screen for drugs that targets the proteins motif in which the corresponding nucleotides amino acid resides. High five if your a scientist =D

  • I like the new introduction better. Even though I like Tears for Fears just the same.

  • QI!!

    i love that show!!!

  • I think I liked the original intro better, was more pertinent and relevant to the series, plus I'm a huge fan of that song... take me back to when I was a wee boy. :)

  • Great vid man... but you shouldn't say that the theory of evolution by natural selection is a "grand unified field theory that encompasses ALL scientific field of study" . GUT has its own precise and rigid meaning in the field of science. Physicists and mathematicians would have a stroke if they hear this :) But anyway great vids, I'm a big fan!

  • @Nivixy Nothing has an inherent purpose, the biosphere is usually balanced because species achieve an equilibrium between population and available resources. Much the way an equilibrium in gravity causes us to orbit our star when masses of objects either got swallowed by the sun or flung out into deep space.

You can't say we were "supposed" to be anything, since nature has no intent or goal, it just works. A biosphere doesn't need a "keeper".

  • Your videos are amazing! Can't stop watching.

I understand your argument of complexity and its evolution and how it muddles creationist ideas. Though, I do have a bone to pick with you on how you present complexity.

Fish aren't "less complex" than say, meerkats, their hearts are well adapted to their living enviroment and fishes are as complex as any other animal. This applies to every existing animal including homo sapiens.

    I hope I didn't misunderstand you

  • I like the new intro too.

  • i like the new intro...... that old 80's music was driving me nuts

  • dude are you a scientist or something??

  • Why exactly is that animal chart at 8:25 in German?

  • This video gives the impression that "proboscis} and "tongue" mean the same thing. They are not synonymous.

Which also brings up... You pronounce a number of terms unconventionally. How is that?

Creationism does not preclude the progression we see in clades. That's what makes creationism so weak. No predictions at all.

Also, I'm not sure evolution would dictate an increase in complexity, but rather predict a tendency toward an increase in complexity with the occasional simplification.

  • I loved the old intro, but got sick of it. The new intro rocks.

Whether it's as good as the original is immaterial. At least it was new.

  • Wait, so what happened to Cro-Magnon? You never explained that in the last video. You just said the bullied the neandrathals and then the neandrathals died out. What happened to cro-magnon? They looked cool.

  • @TommyTonic10

    We are Cro-Magnon. =)

  • @DiscoveringReligion I am extreme advocate of evolution, What happened to H. Sapiens Idaltu?

  • I hate to break it to you but with the way current copy right law is there seems to no longer be any such thing as fair use and rather than being innocent until proven guilty one is just guilty period. If you had any trouble I hope it was resolved in your favour or if there was no complaint I hope if there ever is it goes in your favour. Excellent videos.

  • No way, I love the old intro. That song is so perfect for this series! Change it back!

  • I really like the old intro, just because I believe that religion was invented not to answer questions that people could not find answers for (as it is usually said), but as a philosophy to gain power and rule the world, by making people all believe in one supernatural power, who wants them to fight anyone else who does not share the same belief. Aren't most of the wars in the world driven by this exact excuse? (I apologize, English is my second language)

  • 100% better intro sequence.

  • Thank you so much for such an excellent series! I'm really enjoying watching it and I have learned a lot.

  • great series,dude

    covering all bases

  • The Bible has given us so much, why do you attack it so vehemently but leave the ridiculous mysticism of Hinduism alone? Do you REALLY care what the objective truth is, or like the churchy people, haven't you started with the conclusion you WANT to be true and worked backwards from there, all the while, through every revision and improvement, singing that you were 100% right all along? And never forgetting to ridicule the other side? ............................Good vids, tho.....

  • @XanatharEye christianity and jeudeo religions are the greater populus of the world, very few wars have been faught over Hinduism, or Buddism. I am sure there is a few, but not even half as mmuch as there has been for Jeudeo Religions (jew muslim christian, that means catholics too) The bible has given us nothing cept for a story that holds less truths than that of Homer's Illiad. Which unlike the bible, is Beautiful and gives motivation to never give up, where in the bible you can cry and pray

  • @XanatharEye

Keep in mind the demographic for whom this series of videos is meant.

Among those who may be watching this video, I would be willing to bet that hindus make up a ,imiscule portion of viewers. Granted, most creationists are Muslim or Hindu, but I suspect most creationists can't be bothered to watch this series.

Essentially, one must accept that mostly rationalists will watch this and later apply what they absorb to their individual debates,

    Hopefully, after some factchecking.

  • @qabala (Continued)

Not a criticism of the scholarship of this video.

I truly feel one can never trust a documentary. Any statement in a documentary (or from any other publication for that matter) should be factchecked.

It is my hope that DiscoveringReligion agrees with me on this point.

  • New intro is much better! The music in the old one was way too cheesy.

  • Every person on the planet should see this. PERIOD.

  • i liked the old intro better

  • Excellent work yet again.... I cant believe only 193 *thumbs up* and only 2414 views..... I'm sure (I hope) this must be picked up by more people over time

  • @KylieTasticUK i was just thinking the same, these videos are quite amazing indeed.

  • thank you sooooooo much for makeing this series!!!!! LOVED IT!!!

  • This new intro is better. Atleast the previous one was a little annoying:D. It sounded like some thememusic of a bad 1970's filmseries.

  • The new introduction is better because it doesn't break my speakers with the vast difference in the volume of the music with the volume of the narration.

  • Why should evolution predict a hierarchy such as that? we didn't evolve from modern fish, we evolved from proto-fish. if anything, fish are more evolved than us, due to shorter lifespans giving way to more generations. the only reason a creature would not be complex is because it wouldn't need to be. the only reason fish are made like that is that in water, a creature siting still and just WAITING for plankton or predators would be stupid compared to swimming aroun. in any case, great videos

  • @arachnophile01 Each species on the chart was more complex then the one preceding it. Therefore more complex lungs, heart etc. evolve accordingly. All species today share an early non-tetrapod craniata ancestor, but if the theory of evolution was correct than it should have been able to predict exactly that... which it did.

  • @Psylipenguin No, unless the environment around the fish and reptile was completely unchanged. Just because a seperate distant cousing of an organism starts adapting in different ways, the organism doesn't stop. If you were to mate a modern fish with a fish in the triasic, you'd have a difficult time to say the least if the environment around this fish has changed at all. Again, the only reason for lack of complexity in an organism is that it is unnecesary

  • @arachnophile01 Im sorry I fail to see your point... "No, unless the environment around the fish and reptile was completely unchanged". Just because a seperate distant cousing of an organism starts adapting in different ways, the organism doesn't stop".... A distant cousin of an organism adapting to different environmental conditions is evolution. And that is why we have different types of fish, monkeys, lizards, birds, humans etc...

  • @Psylipenguin Which is my point, a fish is equally "evolved" to a human, however in a different direction, whereas the video claims that it's primitivity is evidence of evolution

  • Why would fish have stopped evolving after one one of them evolved to something amphibianlike? A more complex hart has probably evolved among fish but has never proven to be an advantage. If it works it works you know. And if you would design it you wouldn't design it more complex than necessary. An oceanmammal on the other hand would never survive with such a heart, so i would design it with a better heart. I think this isn't the best part of your series. Which i like very much by the way.

  • love the new intro.

  • What are you getting false DMCAs?

Is that what that thing at the beginning was for?

  • I'm sorry to say this, because I really love this series, YouTube need more of people like you. But that into is very, very annoying, especially when you haver one every 10 minutes. I'm trying to watch the whole thing as a playlist, continuously, but I sort of loose track of the topic when that intro come.

  • @Poleschs go to his channel and choose playlists then choose discovering religion.

  • I miss the old song...

  • The new intro is better for sure. My favorite was the angry flying Jehovah head.

  • I don't quite get the heart progression. We're just as modern as any fish or amphibian, in contrast to our common ancestors. I would expect to find primitive hearts in our ancestors and more evoled - but significantly different - hearts in us and fish. Why hasn't natural selection fixed the oxidated blood versus non-oxidated blood problem in amphibians like it has in humans, even though it had equal time to, proving that it is capable of doing so in that timespan?

    FYI I'm not a creationist :D

  • I prefer the original introduction.

  • i'm not sure the phrase "increasing complexity" works as well as "increasing efficiency" in your example at 7:15 complexity is tied to efficiency. but complexity is not always linked to efficiency. things can often be more complex and less efficient. so evolution is more a steady progression of "efficiency" as it relates to a changing environment.

  • you make very good videos, but you need to be careful with terms. Intellegent design is different to young earth creationism, though YECreation could be seen as a form of intellegent design

  • Nice arguments in that one :) I will use them against creationists.

  • Comment removed

  • I just watched all the episodes at once. Great job! The only criticism that I want to make is that the introduction could be shorter. Sometimes it is on the middle of the episode, which is a little bit wired. I guess that I watched the intro too many times! :) I'm also interested on the tutorial. I'd like to make some videos myself too, but I think I'm not that talented.

  • On all of your other episodes, I fast forwarded through the intro since I despise the song, but this one I like a lot better (:

  • I like the new intro - keep it!

  • Your ability at putting these videos together is astounding. Truly top notch! It's almost as if you were created by a divine being to debunk creationism.

Keep 'em coming and I'll keep watching. Thank you for the time and effort that you devote to this enthralling topic.

  • you've done it again.

    cant wait for more.

and the new intro is pretty awesome.

  • Another excellent video. I do like the new intro but the original wasn't bad...maybe some people didn't like the song? I think it was appropriate. Looking forward to more episodes. Keep up the great work.

  • Excellent yet again. May I ask what software you use to make these videos?

  • @Neutrinoghost

Thanks a lot! I use Pinnacle Studio 12 and Photoshop. I get most of my images off google and the video I take from youtube or other HD series. I edit and clean up all the images in photshop and then import the matted images into Pinnacle. I tried using other programs for editing, like Sony Vegas, but didnt have the patience. I actually have a tutorial on how I edit my videos if you want to see it, just let me know.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

First I want to say thanks for good work. I like ask you to allow me to translate it to Persian language, but am afraid of my bad English. Second, maybe it is a stupid question, is there free version of Pinnacle Studio 12 and Photoshop or other similar software’s to get same result? Cause am a activist and if I could buy it from internet, my government will recognize me and I will in danger. Also paying from internet is not much supported in my country.

  • @DiscoveringReligion, I would like to know if you have a tutorial on how to edit your videos. By now I know you are a multi-talented person, and I do hope to learn from you. In the beginning, I thought you are the one who only prepared all the relevant data and hired a IT company to do the rest. Knowing you are the one who created the whole thing that forced me (with pleasure) to give you more than two thumbs up.

  • i miss the old intro!

  • My vote is for the old intro.

    Isn't Reality Great?

    Thanks for your hard work!

  • @psycotria

thanks for the reply =). I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Can't get better than quoting QI...

  • Dinosaurs are not reptiles, at least not in nomenclature.

Besides stuff like that, this was a wonderful video.

  • Old Intro is better. :-P But the series is fantastic, I have watched them over and over again.

  • @Tylzen

Great! Thanks a lot of the comment, I'm very glad you've enjoyed the series!

  • yeah, i like the old intro a lil better. had that music that was upbeat and made me feel like i was about to learn something fun. good job

  • Hou-ou-ou! Again! - [3:50] "based on the explanation each gives for the origin of life" - WRONG, evolution doesn't give any explanation for the origin of life - the origins of multicellular life perhaps, of land-dwelling animals perhaps, but not life itself. I keep seeing creationist videos using this strawman to "disprove" evolution..

  • @8DX

Thanks for the comment, but I wasnt using the word "origin" to suggest evolution is an explanation for the spontaneous abiogenesis of the first cell. I'm using the word "origin" in the context of where life is derived. Evolution tells us life had a NATURAL origin -- despite the process responsible for getting the first cell here. Creationists willfully manipulate anything they can get their hands on, but you cannot win arguments with semantics -- the facts are on the side of evolution.

  • I'm sorry, but saying "Evolution tells us life had a NATURAL origin" is just confusing and misleading. Evolution says that current lifeforms have common ancestors and that the allele frequencies in a given population will change according to selective pressures of the environment: no more, no less. It says nothing about "where life is derived from" or that it's "natural". As far as I get it. Evolution can also work on datasets or algorithms.. we don't know whether our origins were evolutionary.

  • @8DX

Yes, you are 100% correct. Sorry I did not make my point more clearly understood. The word "origin" may not have been appropriately used. But evolutionism is the antithesis of creationism found in the Bible -- they are polar opposites -- evolution being the process by which life has "naturally" derived order and complexity verses creationism that claims all life is of a miraculous, supernatural "origin". I will make myself better understood in future installments. Thank you.

  • He he, although modern catholics will say that evolution is the HOW of the WHAT of creation... I get your gist, I just think you're dilluting the issue. Of course evolution is in general a different concept from creation, because it does not require a Creator and allows for many different worldviews. But I don't agree that evolution as a process is the opposite of created life - even that had to come about by some process, and who's to say that it wasn't guided by a god? Oh I'm being silly sorry

  • @DiscoveringReligion

However, saying the human species and the diversity of life on Earth has a natural origin is appropriate. It's saying that the existence of humans is the result of a natural process that I believe seems to cause the most controversy and also, for me, the most delight.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

well creationism is a modern day myth. It is only the antithesis simply because certain individuals wanted it to be so. Most other christians that are very much in the mainstream believe the bible to be interpreted, and so we don't go cherry picking around a fucking old book. That yes is our holy text, but obviously we do not take it literally or else humanity would be back in the dark ages. I feel bad because certain people are brainwashed into dominionism.

  • @DiscoveringReligion

what is odd is throughout human history since the bible was first written it was always revised into an understanding of every era its survived. Up until now. Its like religion itself wants to take control again. I dunno. I think institutional religion is harmful to human civilization and I am saying this as a christian. I don't mind small community churches, but it bothers me to see mega churches selling bullshit and lies and taking poor folks money.

  • @lordblazer I liked your comment. I am an Agnostic, but my mother is a Christian. She (73 years ole) seems happy to have her social life in her small church community, and I am happy for her. But as far as the "fanatic" thing going on with other BS, I agree with you fully. Hope there are more religious folks like you.

  • @lianalegend

there are plenty man. Trust me. They're the everyday people you interact with that doesn't piss you off XD.. Most people tend to not be fanatics. Just a very loud, vocal, arrogant minority of them. IT is the same with most groups even atheist sometimes I think go too far. The need for belief in something larger than oneself is a human quality. religion is kinda a show of intelligence as we are aware of a lot of things most animals aren't. Such as our impending deaths.

  • @lianalegend

also it is a sign that we as a species tend to want to have a vision of how things can be, will be, etc etc. And trying to find a purpose in our existence. Essentially we are aware of our existence, and we try to find meaning in it. everyone does. believers and non-believers. Anyway it is interesting. I travel for this reason. To see how other cultures rationalize life. I've been happily surprised for years.

  • @8DX The thing is, evolution is absolutely by chance and occurs due to natural events -- the things is, it doesn't always happen and never at the same rate -- there are species of early humans like Homo Erectus who didn't evolve for a long time -- essentially, evolution is a natural process that is entirely subject to randomness

  • Please answer this... ummm... what is after life?

  • @victoriousvang

Death, of course. Heh, sorry to be facetious, but no one really knows. Just because a book says there is an afterlife doesnt meant its true. What do you think happens to a tree when it dies. What about a dog, dolphin, or chimpanzee? Is higher intelligence a prerequisite for entry into heaven? Dolphins and Chimps are very intelligent, they even have language. And if intelligence is required, what happens to the mentally retarded? Religion produces more questions than answers!

  • @DiscoveringReligion

Sometimes I question myself: What is it worth living for then? Is it wrong to just go out and murder the people I dislike without ever getting caught? I am an Atheist but I'm still questioning the "death" part of our lives. I guess we Atheists only believe in what we see and not what men made up...

The world is a beautiful place. Sure, we must work hard, but traveling, cooking, eating, playing music, painting, and experiencing all the joys of life with my close friends and family is more than enough reason for me to live life. Atheists also believe in what men make up -- our morality is crafted by men. The Bible never says "Don't molest children" or "No insider trading", so how do we know these to be morally and ethically wrong? Look up some books on evolution of morality.

You are a very well-rounded, bright person. Thank you for making soo much sense! I love your videos where you ate and drank the heart of the snake. You also have b@llz... haha

  • @victoriousvang

Haha thanks man, I appreciate it! I had a lot of fun on that trip. Asia is a fascinating place. I ate a lot of crazy stuff in Japan as well, like a living frog, raw horse, and fugu (puffer fish).

  • @DiscoveringReligion That poor frog. :(

  • too awesome!

  • You asked for feedback on the new intro. I really liked the old intro. I thought is was powerful and it gave the impression I was watching a real series. The graphics and chosen music are not vibrant or inviting. It's what I would expect to see in a elementary class video. I love your videos, though. They have helped forge many great arguments. So, keep up the GREAT work. I hope they lead to bigger things for you.

  • @bigcabba

Thanks a lot for the comment! I wanted to update the intro, but I'm seeing a lot of people that prefer the original. I appreciate the feedback.

  • @bigcabba

Thanks for the feedback! I am very happy to hear you've enjoyed the series. My best work is still ahead of me, I have some great topics I cant wait to cover. Take care.

  • @DiscoveringReligion Well, I can't wait for the new content. I get asked often how to respond to different Theist arguments, most are very easy to tackle, but for the few zingers, I am able to use the information you provide in your series. Most of it is information I have heard, to some extent, but the way it is structured and ordered is better than many of the docs or books I have read. From the Cambrian Theory to a lot of the questions relating to early man. My fav is the way u tackled Noah.

  • Great man.. will be waiting for the Episode 11
