It's very worth making those points. It's easy to say GB instead of UK, I didn't want particularly to get at you making that mistake. It would be hard for people not to make such mistakes given the categorically challenged stuff here. But it's an opportunity to bring this nonsense of UK to light, when noting Head of State's (probably the only British person, or 1 of the only persons, who could never actively rule the country every day) purpose is to say football is just brilliant.

It's all pretty clear. A simple example:- As a French national, who happens to have acquired Italian citizenship at age 40, I have citizens' rights in Italy, not as strong there as being an Italian national, where I will always be known as a Frenchman, a national of France.

BUT what do we do in the UK? We mess it all up. In British passports the Nationality section just won't accept the legend "British" (what the hell is wrong with it?). Instead, it will only accept "British Citizen" ...

But the abbreviation "UKP", which official financial websites tell you some people have in recent years tried to use (understandable I think) - is meaningless and never acceptable. As our country of course has an official German term- Vereinigtes Königreich...
