To the people talking about crime in the US; Understand that proportionally, the UK has a significantly higher crime rate than the US. Most of their major problems such as gang violence and shootings occur in bad parts of certain cities, just like anywhere on earth. When you go out of the major cities, you are actually much safer than you are in even a small town here in the UK, DESPITE the fact that most people are armed (Or maybe because of it, who knows). Our gun laws vary from state to state in the US but its not that easy. Unless you obtain it illegally, you have to be 21 to buy and handgun(which a grand majority of gun crimes are committed with) and there is a mandatory registration and waiting period after purchase. Getting a rifle is alot easier, in the case of missouri where i am i think you just have to be 18. But if you have been convicted of a violent felony im pretty sure its strictly forbidden from owning any firearm
