I really want to start a non-profit for young women mainly the ones of "african" descent to instill values of love and self-worth, but I don't know where to start. This concept is so simple and would solve SO many issues in our community. If black people just loved themselves it would eliminate so much bullshit. Your fourth and the Sixth video are your best ones. Being a women is first forgive yourself for not beeing what you wanted to be, then accept urself and with those two things come love of yourself.

And love of yourself show in different way, taking care of urself, respecting yourself and beeing urself with everybody. Then relationship become easier because you have so much love for urself that that u r not expecting him to validate or make u happy.

You are just speaking to me about "settling." i am single and have been for a very long time. I used to be friends with a girl who always used to ask me if I was with someone, and of course I told her no. She used to act as if I was less of a woman/person because I refused to settle. Yet, she was never happy with herself or her relationships. I want more for myself. If you cannot love yourself by yourself for yourself, I don't believe you can be truly happy.

I agree with you on this intense subject matter! Love of self is not an easy transition to undergo. It requires indepth self inventory. Self love defies the true essence of divine law. (People of color) especially can't build solid nations inside our community without this virtue. Community or (common-unity) amoung us is lacking without this very principle. When i was younger i really didn't understand what self-love was. I thought it meant to treat myself to all the materials in life i wanted. Like one Sister said, "its self-validation." It's about loving who you are and the skin you're in. It's knowing who you are, what you need, and making sure that you get that. Loving self is the greatest gift that anyone could give to themselves. Knowing the difference of a surface love to an inner spiritual self-love is the reward.

Awesome video Sis!!! I wanna add that a woman that loves herself is a woman that's able to keep a family together. A woman's love is the glue that keeps a family tight, no matter what race you are. Children learn how to love from the love that moms give while that baby is in the womb. Boyz become men, men learn how to become lovers from the love that women have for themselves. Exactly Rani! If we self-reflect for a moment we will then realize that a lot of the problems that we've endured in the past was because we didn't love ourselves. This is so true! Self-love definitely eliminates the wrong people(men and women)from coming into our lives who have absolutely NO desire to see our growth as women. This is SOOOO important. We need to help cultivate self-love in our young children so that they won't have to experience what so many of us have. Awesome!!
