Saw this movie now and it looks dangerous ctsyt, im not trying to be an ass****.
I own the first sold Streetfighter S in Sweden. I have put down 12000 Km on the bike so i think i can say that i know the model. The streeetfighter is NOT a naked 1098. They are two completely different bikes. The streetfighter have a higher saddle hight and the forks have a longer rake. It makes the model harder to take a turn, you have to be prepered for every turn. I wish you luck!
thanks perods for your comment! its not a naked 1098 for sure...it couldnt be just that...you can change its steering geometry by altering its height...you can either higher its rear height or lower the forks...either way its working...go slow on this move by 4mm a time and you will find a huge difference...
would you say the ducati streetfighter is a beginner bike? I have never had the pleasure of riding a motorcycle but i recently discovered the streetfighter and i find it so appealing that i want to buy one and start riding. I know its a super bike naked, but i think with practise and coaching from my buddies i will get the handle of it.. ?
no my friend ducati's streetfighter is NOT a beginner bike...you can get yourself injured or worse in a fragment of a second riding that thing...its very powerful and not "new rider" friendly...
if you think you will be so careful and you can control yourself then go for it...after all the throttle opens as much as YOU open it!! :)
You must test ride one IMO before considering buying one (i couldnt here in greece but i still bought one...i just could not resist!! :-) )
@realtradesmen I agree with ctsyt, this thing is essentially a 1098 but naked. Being an 1100 cc v-twin, its got so much torque at the bottom end that its probably a high chance for a new rider to pull an accidental wheelie when trying to move off. Its got a dry clutch, which means less room for error in engaging it, and a more responsive throttle. Ahhhh... I love this bike... One day...
@PeerCritique : you are right PeerCritique!i did let my changes of line and other mistakes on purpose on the video to have comments and suggestions and become better through this!! i am sure the next vid will be better hope youll comment it out too! :)
@camilobueno : thank man, i have made several mistakes in my driving there but i included both the good and the bad times in the video to get comments/advice and learn from my mistakes!! The streetfighter really fast, mine makes 143 HP (din) at the back wheel...dont really know the 0-60, but you can imagine...
How easy does the front wheel come up if you ride it normally and when you poke it a bit

How many changes of line does the rider make going in to each corner, not a skilled or confident rider. Wants to look the part, but that's about it.
