Check out my video of my single L7 with a 6 cubic foot ported box, way better than any other sub I've had or box I have built. I'm sure yours pounds but it will pound way harder.

First of all that amp can't put out 4000 watts it only does 500 wrms and 1000 peak. 4000 to one sub would blow it in seconds due to the sub being able to do 2000 peak.

I got a Kicker L7 15" sub and bought a 4cu ft air space box, when I get it put in I will make a vid of it. If you can get a bigger box your bass would be a lot better, my box is tuned at 32Hz

Box makes a HUGE difference with the l7s. I had one in my titan with that size box. Took out seat an built 5cu ft box with 4in port and it slammmmmmmmmedddd!

there is to much distortion, you need a bigger box to let all the air out, right now all the air stays trapped not all of it comes out try it all ull see the difference.....will sound way better

Hell yeah that thing is kickin!! what to do have your gain set at? I have a 2010 Cvx 15 and it hurts me. I have the same amp as well. Kicker amps are the way to go! I will put some vids up soon so you can check it out.

@allaboutboats55 We definitely have the amp set up at its rms value which is just over 1,000 watts. Its a zx1000.1 dude, you couldnt even get 4000 watts out of it.

@smith5348 Hay dood nice system have the same L7 but I got mine used for $200 and I put it in an 4.3 cubic foot airspace box vented of course with an SSL 3000 watt monoblock class d amp I am runnning it at 1 ohm and the full 3000 watts and I am in love with it. I have had my system like this for over an year now so these subs can handle more than advertised so no worries there but you may want to go to an bigger box tuned to about 38 herts to get sume real bump. Oh mine is in an 01 Dakota

@ozzyh2r the price all depends on which sub you want to buy, kicker has a lot of different ones. On Kicker's website ours is 600, but you can find it a lot cheaper on other sites, that's what we did
