Far Cry 2: A Drive Through the Savanna

clearly this is not a game everyone will enjoy. You need to have a lot of patience and all the time in the world (driving all the time!), For a game that takes realism so seriously, there were some unpardonable flaws - like the recurring guard posts! They should have given atleast 1-2 days of in-game time before they are re-populated. And I haven't heard this a lot, but in my opinion, the jumping just sucks, even thought its realistic.

i had all the time in the world to play this, and yes, it is the most realistic game i have ever played.. and there are hundreds of different ways to play this game.. and the fact that the map itself is so huge without glitch or flaws, and a whole new game engine just for the scenery, makes the game so fun.. but a boring drive and EVERYBODY shooting at you isn't the most fun you could have.. online is great though

Yeah, I guess a sequel is what they need. They can rectify all the flaws since none of the flaws in the game spoilt the experience as a whole. We could have something more kick-ass!

This game is boring, the only thing i do on it is map editor (which is boring) and look at boring maps, the missions are repetitive and the guard posts keep coming back like wtf?

@egorgeg I have to agree with you about the guard posts. They are pretty annoying. But the missions are the best part of the game! You can tackle them any way you want and nobody gives a shit if you mess up, you just get rescued by a buddy. The game is great because it has diversity too. Map Editor is the dumbest thing about Far Cry 2. The multi-player is great, and the single player is amazing. Although, it can sometimes lag a lot, even in single player.

@Arrowsaw, Nah, single player for me is, really really boring, i know you can do it any way you like but there like, what? 3 ways? Run in there, Drive in there, or sniper them off. Thats ok if the missions where a bit different, but there all the same. Take this guy out, take that convoy out, take this guy out......Boring. the map editor, well that biased on opinion, i dont really have the time and patience to create a decent map. Also i get bored easy if there not much verity in games.
