  • How did you get -6? at 2:05 do you just add a negative to the number above the line

  • Thanks ,its very helpfull,

  • An example of where you HAVE to use the distributive law is:

    x(x + 3) = x^2 + 6 Distribute x across (x+3) to get

    x^2 + 3x = x^2 + 6

    Subtract x^2 from both sides and then

    3x = 6

    so x = 2.

    Use the distributive law only if you have to.

  • You don't need the distributive law to solve:

    3(x+2) = -9

    Just divide both sides by 3 to get

    x + 2 = -3

    Now subtract 2 from both sides and you get

    x= -5

    You're doing unnecessary calculations using the distributive law.

  • So is mathtv starting some youtube bussiness

    Great stuff

    Hope to see more

  • Good job, obviously your understanding of mathematics goes beyond that of basic rhetoric. But in my experiences tutoring, and criticism from every professor I've come across, talk a bit slower/more clearly. (In response to the first gentleman)

  • For whatever reason that you decided to put this up, I appreciated it. It makes understanding math easy by using visuals.
