Just remember this, the HDMI cable is a way for the content providers to guarantee they control the content. It adds *NOTHING* to the quality of the signal over the classic HDTV digital monitor cables.
i had a problem when i tried to take out my hdmi cable out of my tv. i was blind sighted when i tried to take it out and accidently 'almost pulled the head off' the cable. you know, the bronze metal part that goes into the tv. it was pulled out about 1mm out of the end. it doesnt work. no warrenty when i bought it. im hoping i can go somewhere to repair it or something! without paying for another $100. anyone have any suggestions what i can do?
the best hd cable to buy is HD Videotron....it shows 1080i.....it has a 160GB HDD.....yes 160gig hard drive.....so you could record a show/you can pause/fastfoward and even rewind a live show.....i have a full hd tv and the videotron hd cable.....the hd channels are amazing....if you have a standard tv...lol.save money to hd tv....you see what you dont in a standard tv...hd cable ? go buy videotron hd....it's better than TiVo....im serious
You have that right! Last year I bought a DVI to HDMI cable for my brother for X-mas at BestBuy. Unfortunaltely, at that time I didnt have a LCD tv and because of that, I didnt know much about the cables. Anyhow, I bought the cable for $83.... My brother opened it up, and used it. Later that day we were discussing the hookup and I mentioned it cost me $83...he almost sh*t his pants. He was actually mad at me because I could've got the same thing for $10 online!

HDMI cable is digital that means the quality doesn´t have to be that good - you have error correction in there.

Cables don't cost that much to make. Cables in big box stores are usually marked up over 100% initial cost.
