The US did win the Pacific, Russia did not cause Japan to surrender as by the time Russia joined in the Japs were contained on their homeland.
We havn't Lost a war in a very long time, we havn't won many either, but havnt lost any.

Vietnam was indeed a loss. Americans are happy because they think they won the war of 1812. Canadians are happier because they know they did.

Perhaps Europe, in its current state of cultural unrest may not be the best example of economic growth, but it's more stable than it could be, had they been using the American system. On the other hand, Mexico's economy is growing, mostly because of businesses using workers there, and Canada's economy has recovered surprisingly quickly, owing to a very strong social security net.

During WWII the U.S. supplied arms, munitions, and other logistical supplies to the UK to keep them in the fight and operated in proxy by supplying pilots from our air corps despite not having declared war. Open war for the US didn't occur until the bombing of Pearl Harbor. USSR, without the 2nd front opened by D-Day good luck breaking German defenses in the East.

Perhaps Europe, in its current state of cultural unrest may not be the best example of economic growth, but it's more stable than it could be, had they been using the American system. On the other hand, Mexico's economy is growing, mostly because of businesses using workers there, and Canada's economy has recovered surprisingly quickly, owing to a very strong social security net.

During WWII the U.S. supplied arms, munitions, and other logistical supplies to the UK to keep them in the fight and operated in proxy by supplying pilots from our air corps despite not having declared war. Open war for the US didn't occur until the bombing of Pearl Harbor. USSR, without the 2nd front opened by D-Day good luck breaking German defenses in the East.

I guess you could argue that the operation in Iraq after the invasion in 2003 was a failure, I'd call it a draw, they did not exactly achieve what they wanted to. But neither did they get kicked out. :) In any Conventional war today, America would dominate, it's suicide to fight the U.S conventionally, but that means everyone's just going to fight them unconventionally.
